Yellow curry with soft tofu. Medium hot was very mild. The spice tray came to the rescue.

A nice find in the main shopping mall. It was short handed so took a while to get served, but the food came out fresh and hot. We over ordered but somehow finished it all. Spice levels were geared toward tourists, ie very mild.

This place is fantastic! We asked a local what their favorite place was and it was on their list. We were glad that we came in! The fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce were a hit. It was a nice day sized portion for the price. I liked all of the fresh vegetables and that dipping sauce. The Tom Yum chicken wings were AMAZING!!!! Perfectly seasoned and crispy. This was one of our favorite things we ate all week long. If you like wings then definitely give them a try. The chicken larb was well seasoned. We ordered it 3 stars and it had some heat!!! It came with a side of romaine lettuce to scoop it up with. My entree of cashew chicken was ordered a 3.5 star and it tasted great! It had a bunch of vegetables that were cooked to perfection. The serving size was great for the price. The service was friendly enough. Highly recommended!!!

Fresh Basil Rolls and Chicken Satay DELICIOUS!

Food was wonderful, service lovely, ambiance perfect and comfortable temperature too. Even the napkins smell divine (really they do...lol). Next time saving room for mango and sweet rice dessert. Thank you Royal Thai cooks and staff!

We have been trying to eat at least once at all the available Thai Restaurants in the Kailua-Kona area. So we had to try this restaurant located in the Keahou Shopping center. The restaurant is a pretty good size with ample seating both inside and outside. The decor is typically Thai, setting the ambiance to its Thai roots. The service was very good. Prompt, courteous and friendly. They took the time to explain and didn't try to rush you out of the restaurant. It also looked like they were fully staffed. Which is a bit of a rare thing in Kona at this time. We ordered the Beef Pad Thai, the House Fried Rice, Chicken Satay, regular Crispy Wings and their Mango Sticky Rice. The Pad Thai was good, though the fried rice was plain. The chicken wings were also not as flavorful. The satay and mango sticky rice were ok. Nothing super outstanding. What we are finding is that like the others in Kona, the full Thai 4 taste is missing. Don't get me wrong, the food is not bad, but it's pretty watered down for American taste; which to me is a little disappointing. I would still recommend this place as the service and ambiance is pretty good. The food is ok. The menu is pretty extensive... so I'll try it again to see if any of the menu items are more Thai than catered to the western taste.

The food was delicious, very authentic and by far the best dinner meal we've had since being in Kona. Great servers, nice atmosphere.

Yuk! Frying oil was old, rice hard, meat tough. Eat outside only. Sorry folks, you need to step up your game.

Their cuisine appears to be a fusion of Hawaiian, Filipino and Korean cuisines. You will want to note their business hours. At the time of this review, they are closed Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. Their lunch hours on other days are 11am-2:30pm and dinner hours are 4pm-7:30pm. It's a popular restaurant, so there is limited seating indoors. According to their website, this is the "Home of Da Garlic Furikake Chicken" so you'll want to try that dish. I ordered the Braised Beef Shortribs off their Specials menu and went with the Twisty Fries as my choice of side. The Shortribs were unbelievably tender but just a tad bit sweet for my liking, and the Twisty Fries were absolutely phenomenal. If we're ever able to visit the Big Island again, Broke Da Mouth will be one of the first spots we come back to!

Pro tip: When you make your reservation, ask for a table with a view. Otherwise, you might find yourself in the "VIP section"... which apparently stands for Very Important Passageway--right by the exit. We started with the hot wings, and wow... the house-made sauces were fantastic. They had just the right balance of flavor and heat without overpowering the wings. The real stars, though, were the handmade Italian noodles. You can tell the chef puts genuine care into every sauce--each one tasted thoughtfully crafted, full of personality, and made with a lot of love. We paired them with an Italian Chianti that was a pleasant surprise from their modest but well-chosen wine list. It was an excellent match for the pasta. That said, I kept eyeing the Rutherford Cabernet and now wish I'd gone for the big Cab! The bread was a little on the stale side, but the excellent olive oil helped redeem it. In an area where many restaurants seem geared either entirely toward tourists or entirely toward locals, Social Club strikes a really nice balance. Great food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere make it a place we'd happily return to. 4.5 stars from us--and next time, we're requesting that view and ordering the Rutherford Cab!
