A couple times if a certain car caught our eye, we'd be instantly cautioned: "you don't want that one", because he knew we weren't looking for "a project". Once, the car my daughter bought behaved strangely on the highway, making her nervous; another time one I bought showed an oil leak in my driveway after a few days. In both instances, even though the cars were sold "as is", returning them to either have the mechanic look them over, or to choose something else, was not an issue at all. I appreciate a guy who treats people decently. This is always the first place I'll stop when looking for a second hand automobile.

I've been burned by dealerships before; Kalidy Kia for example (their obnoxious advertising reminds…read moreme every day about their trash integrity and customer service). So I end up walking into any dealership assuming they're going to be dishonest. I recently purchased a vehicle from Jim Norton, but the vehicle that was delivered was slightly different than the one I was expecting to get, and when it arrived I pointed out what was missing from what was originally agreed upon. Wavin (the dude who sold me the car) and Vinny (his manager) gave me a 'We Owe' sheet stating Jim Norton would provide me the originally agreed upon add-on items once they arrived. I made a comment saying "Kalidy Kia gave me one of those 'We Owe' sheets and they never honored it until I got the Attorney General's office involved." Wavin responded with "We aren't Kalidy Kia." And you know what? That is a very true statement. Jim Norton has done right by me so far, and it's been a pleasant experience (aside from the minor communications lapse while I was waiting on my new vehicle). Their service department is kinda meh so far (one of the advisors I've dealt with was crotchety as hell, and they lost my keys at one point), but as far as a new vehicle purchase is concerned, Wavin and Vinny have both made me have to rethink my opinion about car dealerships as a whole. The price was fair (they actually were more flexible than I expected them to be) and they have been true to their word, and professional in all of their interactions. I would recommend them both.

I had my undercarriage replaced here less than a year ago, and it was fine until my last oil change in May. They did not secure it properly after that service, and afterwards undercarriage began falling down and cracked while I was on the highway. When I brought it in and expressed my concerns (that it had not been properly secured after the last service), the service department's solution was simply to bend it back into place and "secure" it, however it remains cracked and is already falling down again less than a month later.

We took a Hyundai Elantra for a test drive only to find multiple issues wrong. The a/c did not work The car pulled to the right while driving it All the tires were dry rotted. We asked if we could come down on the price a little and then he got all offended saying if you don't buy it someone else will and that we were free to leave. Basically after reading all the reviews on here and Facebook, even if they agreed to "check" the a/c and the front end, all the cars are sold as is and you don't get helped in the end. I understand some people have good experiences, that just means Damon and Alex didn't get a complete lemon when they got it from the auction. It's a gamble when you come here. Avoid at all costs!
