My sister and I ate here for brunch while in town. We loved everything about The Firefly and wish we could have had more breakfasts here! What first caught our attention was the atmosphere-fun, whimsical, and comfy. The staff was friendly and helpful. We got breakfast sandwiches on sourdough biscuits. I've been going to Firefly for years, and it's my favorite place in town. I hadn't been going too regularly when my mother was hit head on by a semi. I stopped in on my way to visit her soon afterward and had some tears while waiting for my order. They were so caring and picked up my breakfast for me. After that, I started coming in more regularly, and I am now a part of a weekly coffee group that meets there. The environment is artistic (they show local artists' work on rotation, and the tables are their own pieces of art), and I love how diverse and accepting everyone is of each other. I particularly love their little side deck area with all the sweet birds and beautiful flowers. It's like being in a little park. Of course, the food and drinks are amazing. The food is homemade and so creative with offerings for every diet plan. Their quiche is excellent (crustless options)! There isn't a place in town that can make a chai half as good as them... I've tried everything around. I'm completely addicted to their chocolate chai chiller in particular. Their fruit smoothies are wonderful as well, great for when you need a healthy boost. One of my favorite places to just sit and be for awhile. Only complaint I've ever had about them is it gets too busy sometimes and it's annoying trying to find your way through crowds. But they have some of the nicest staff and best coffee in town. Raspberry white chocolate all the way:) read more

Visited this place for the first time and I was so impressed. The atmosphere was so relaxing, the baristas were kind. I ordered the firefly smoothie, a perfect blend of sweet and bitter. They also had books for individuals to read, as well as accessories available for purchase. Their walls displayed photography from local artists, giving it a home like atmosphere. The murals painted on the walls were also interesting! It gave it a fairytale feel. Outside, they provide tables for customers to sit at with a wide variety of plants and flowers adding to the lazy summer haze effect. Definitely going back again! read more

I lived for 5 years in the Seattle/Tacoma area of Washington, with some of the best coffee shops in my opinion. Firefly brings to mind the ones I liked the best, only cleaner. Amazing place. Was in town for a few days and stopped in and had a peppermint mocha iced that was incredible. Came with 4 shots of espresso that was the perfect way to keep me awake during a long classroom session. Had an awesome server as well. He was super accomodating! read more

My wife introduced me to coffee shops 16 years ago and the Firefly earned the nickname of my North Office! Delicious food including made to order breakfast sandwiches or enjoy quiche or a fresh bagel to go with your favorite drink. I am partial to a White Mocha, but will mix it up with a raspberry and cream or a white mocha shake. Cindi and her hand picked staff are fantastic! read more

You can always count on getting a good variety of coffees here. They are always at the top of their game. If you want to relax and have a nice quiet coffee and snack, then it is best to avoid this place Sunday morning from 10 am to 1 pm, as a group of knitting enthusiasts meet and tend to get obnoxiously loud. Firefly is right next to my school, and I have never been overly impressed. Their coffee is very good, but I feel that it is too expensive. Also, it is often very crowded and hard to move. The open mic night can sometimes bring in some interesting acts as well. If you go, I recommend the Carmel Frappe. read more

I have been buying tea in bulk here for several months as well as stopping in for a cup when in the neighborhood. Today the manager informed me that they could no longer sell me tea in bulk because it depleted their supply. Realizing the customer is no longer right in very many places, I pressed for a reason why a store would not sell what a store is established to sell. The best I can understand is that they don't make much money on the bulk tea and it was an inconvenience for the person who stocked the tea. I am going to do my part to protect their supply by buying my bulk tea at the grocery story down the street and my individual cups at the Old Crown. Business schools must not be what they used to be. read more

As a new resident of FW, I stopped at Firefly for an iced coffee because it was very close to my new home. I was very impressed - the iced coffee was smooth, yet strong, and was exactly what I was looking for. The price was relatively low (compared to my previous location in New England), and the coffee was better than most places I have been. I note that another reviewer complained that their prices are high, presumably for FW, but I have not been to many places yet. So far, this is the best coffee I have had, and overall, I was very impressed with the Firefly. read more

I've always loved firefly since I was in high school (2006-2010). I went in recently for old time sake, and it was even better than it used to be. They always have a great selection, and the amazing staff helped me remember my old usual. A peanut butter mocha shake with banana and a scotcharoo. Where do I start? This is my favorite coffee shop in the entire world. The staff has been kind and helpful since they opened in 1999. The coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, cookies, teas, are all wonderful. The decor/atmosphere is very comfy; a local artist painted lovely murals on the walls. Local art is changed monthly. read more
