Fabulous! We were coming to Paso to see a concert, do a little wine tasting and shop. I looked up boutiques and their websites and found the most perfect dress for my my daughter's upcoming wedding shower and rehearsal dinner. I called and spoke with, I believe Emily, to see if they had her size in stock. They did. She said that they had a 30 day return policy. They held it for me for 2 days. I picked it and it was on it's way to Boston 5 days later. It was PERFECT!!! It was $144 but looked like a $500 dress. After an initial negative experience it was quite a while before I went back. I have been in several times since and each time has been very pleasant and their inventory is fabulous. Would like to see a little more variety in the sizes not everyone is a petite small or medium. I visited Firefly back in early fall and fell in love with a dress that I didn't buy THAT day. I figured 'meh... I will find one similar when summer comes around'. Come February, I decided I really wanted that same exact dress I tried on at that one store during a weekend trip to Paso. I couldn't find anything like it anywhere it was driving me nuts. Found out the name of the shop, Firefly. Emailed them with the picture I had taken of said dress, and within a day I received 2 emails from this amazing local business saying they would check their store-room and get back to me. To make a long story short; they had the dress. 1 left that had been a return! I lucked out and ordered it over the phone with the friendliest retail business woman I have ever talked to, Rebecca! They shipped out the dress the next day and followed up with me via phone and email. I have never received such personalized, friendly, detailed and professional service before, ever! Probably my favorite store in downtown Paso! Staff was so friendly and helpful as soon as I walked in and while browsing. Their selection of clothes/accessories is super cute as well as diverse for all different tastes & styles. I needed a last minute Christmas gift for my young adult granddaughter so I popped into Firefly as a first stop downtown. I need look no further! Found the perfect scrunchy neck scarf with fringe for her. Great price. And, while I was browsing I found a lovely pair of black faux suede gloves with furry trim for me. Wore them all month! Such a cute little place! Beautiful items here. I was drawn in by the beautiful wooden cutting boards (too beautiful to use) with beautiful stones implanted in them. I went to the back, where there is a small sale area. I had a white elephant party to go to that night, so I found the perfect gift. A mug that is black with some eyes....then when you fill it with a hot liquid, it lightens up and becomes squids in a blue ocean. LOVE! There are also beautiful jewelry everywhere. read more

This is a cute boutique with eye-catching displays! Between brunch and an afternoon wedding, I had some time to wander around downtown and popped in to have a look. I didn't buy anything because I was with a group and I didn't want to keep anyone waiting, but I kept thinking about a couple of items I'd seen. So naturally I snuck away from my group later in the day and made my way back to the shop. I was ready to buy a cute bralette when the sales lady told me that everything in the sale section was 60% off. Of course I went back to take a look and I ended up leaving with the aforementioned bralette as well as two dresses, all for under $60! My daughter and I bought a few dresses while passing through Paso a few weeks ago, one for her and one for sister not present (to wear to a wedding). Turns out the one we bought for my other daughter didn't work and she didn't end up wearing it. We tried to return it in our way back, but missed their hours by a few moments. Usually one of my favorite stores. Have been shopping in this store for years and usually find some great treasures. My mom and I went in there this afternoon. Was delighted by the goodies but sorely disappointed by the rude sales associate and bad service. Short blond hair who said she was one of the buyers. I had to walk up to the desk and say hi to her FIRST. She did not engage me, did not try to connect or be friendly in anyway then got right back on her iPhone. RUDE! She has about 6/7 people in her store and she did not bother to greet them, connect with them or offer them any product knowledge. She just stood behind the desk doing her own thing. After putting my purchase on the desk I walked out not buying it. This store obviously does not need sales and is not interested in good customer service. Do they not understand how much they could not only keep but increase sales by having their store staffed with friendly helpful sweet people, who walk out from behind the counter and get connected. Very sad and plan on spreading the word about this poor poor service. read more

It's the customer service for me... liked this place, first time customer...however, even though the clothes and jewelry were very cute, but not sure if I'd come back. I came in close to closing, literally minutes and the young lady let me know when I asked to try on some clothes. I understood and tried to hurry, however, not another word was said to me. "If the clothes fit fine?" or "If I needed anything". She was walking around slamming stuff, just being super loud, making it known she wanted to be done. Almost as if to make sure I knew she wanted me out. Which having worked in retail myself I get it, wanting to go home after a long day... but that shouldn't deter someone from good customer service. When I checked out, again I hurried as fast as possible, not a single word was said yet again, other than "Just the blouse?" It was uncomfortable checking out, she wasn't friendly at all with me... but was super nice and bubbly to the two ladies she helped before me asking her to try on the clothes. Her demeanor seemed as though it was a favor that she was letting me pay. Again, I understand the need to close by a certain time but don't be rude or make people feel a certain way... especially if they are a first time customer. read more

This place is really cute. Not a conventional gallery, but as their business card accurately describes, a "contemporary craft gallery." The owner was working and mentioned her daughter and her run the shop, buy for the shop and decorate the shop together. They have a great eye. Unfortunately we had a very bad experience yesterday. We walked into the shop and were met with two very unfriendly women(one younger blondish women and the other was an older brunette women). Both had very unfriendly expressions on their faces, gave no greeting to our group and gave us the clear impression that they were not interested in selling. The younger women was very stand offish and grimacing the entire time we, along with other patrons, were in the store. The older women made it clear that we were not welcome to touch or look at any items in the store, it's a clothing and jewelry store? This equated to none of us spending money and purchasing anything in the store because of the unfriendly feeling put forth by the store staff. The staff was very unprofessional and need a refresher on how to welcome patrons into the establishment and how to sell, the experience was very odd. read more

Sales Associates are rude, unknowledgeable, and not helpful. The return and exchange policy is as strict as any place I've ever seen. However because Firefly is local and owner curated, the merchandise is more uncommon and varied: clothing from small and charming companies in LA and Europe, artisan soaps and candles, whimsical kitchen, gift, and decor items, and a vast selection of beautiful items made by local artists. . . Don't get me started on the jewelry! And the books! There is even a "playhouse" in the middle of the store filled with absolutely delightful children's gifts. Looking for something one-of-a-kind? This is your place. All price ranges. All ages. Male or female. I love to visit OFTEN to see what is new. Horrible customer service , sales associate would not return a product I had just purchased moments before because the perfume was in the wrong place and yes I tore open the package but I had my receipt that stated product exchange or store credit for 30 days no where did it state any exceptions. I was told to "enjoy my new sent and learn to like it" I obviously won't enjoy it because it's not the one I want. I picked up the package that was directly behind the tester and was told that it happens so often that it's just the way it is basically? So I have to pay for your poor product display? Being in the customer service industry as a hairstylist I would NEVER treat any customers this way but obviously firefly does not care about repeat business. Very disappointed.
