We scored a charming AirBnB villa, and sampled various venues around the area for wine, beer, and olive oil tasting. On our last evening, we decided to head into town and seek a nice dining spot. Though it was a Tuesday, our first choice restaurant had a waiting list. That gave us time to stroll around the downtown plaza area. Many of the shops had just closed - this is not a nightlife kind of place as far as shopping goes, but the foodie places were just getting started. Our Sweet Granddaughter had a great time hanging out with her older cousins, and they took her farther around the park area than Dear Hubby and I had the energy to go on a hot night. The plaza has a small town vibe with lots of charm. Someone suggested a Hallmark movie kind of vibe. I agree with that assessment. Bring in some set decorators with some additional floral decor, and you'd be ready to be in the movie mode. We ended up at a different restaurant than we had originally planned for, and that was a good choice. Because of the wait we'd encountered it gave us more time to enjoy the unique architecture and vintage charm of the downtown Paso vibe.

I saw a whole wall full of custom greeting cards with fun art and even funnier messages inside of them... Move over Hallmark, because the creative peeps behind these custom cards definitely don't have "Writers Block". Fast forward to a full & satisfied belly from a yummy breakfast at the Cowgirl Cafe and I was now ready to shop. Upon walking into Sealed With A Kiss, we were immediately greeted and welcomed with a smile. We freely browsed all of the fun, eclectic items in store and I had a good time checking out their custom greeting cards with funny little messages. We did purchase a flour sack towel for our kitchen with California Poppies on it and it is now proudly displayed on our stove. The gentleman behind the counter and the lady working in store were very kind and we chit-chatted a bit on where we were from and how long we were in town. To simply "Put it into words"... We as the customer felt welcomed and were happy to give them our business. So.... As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted by Kenny, He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely one of the best people I've met in a shop like this. The place itself is impressive, especially the large humidor room. I asked Kenny for a recommendation since I always like trying something new, and he pointed me toward a great cigar. I was planning to head back to my hotel or a park to smoke it, but Kenny let me know that smoking isn't allowed in town and invited me to use their lounge instead. The lounge had a great atmosphere super welcoming. I met a couple of friendly people and ended up chatting with Chase, a local business owner. Before I knew it, I had spent a couple of hours there. I also walked out with a new Xikar lighter that Kenny recommended, which was a great call. I'll definitely be coming back every time I'm in town. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in Paso.
