In many cases, your time on Duval Street or in Mallory Square or the marina area will be just a couple hours. That's just $10 at the 201 Front Street Garage (as a part of the Opal Key Resort). If you go to the privately owned lots or the Post Office, you may pay $25-$35 and only use two hours. Not a great use of your money if you pay for a full day and only use a few hours. Plus, I believe the security and general activity and demand in this parking garage make it safer for you and your vehicle. This parking deck is a part of the Opal Key resort and spa complex, and it is open to the public. Also, the parking deck keeps your car protected from the high heat and sun exposure. It is convenient for sailing excursions, jet ski expeditions,, Mallory Square, Duval St., The Farmers Market at Truman Waterfront Park, and the Truman Annex. Also, if you're visiting any of the retailers or other merchants, always ask if they provide validated parking. So, always take your parking ticket with you just in case you can get somebody else to cover the cost. Make sure you get to the 201 Front St. Garage (9:30 AM before the Merchants open at 10 AM) early as it is in high demand and stays full. There are a couple of EV charge stations as you enter.

This is a nice free way to travel around Key West. Whether you just was a low-key non-narrated…read moresightseeing tour through the streets of Key West or you don't feel like doing much walking, this is the way to go. We arrived by cruise ship (Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady) to Mallory Square, where we took a very short walk to stop #4, which is the closest to the port. There are usually 2 air-conditioned buses but today there was just 1 short bus which holds about 14 people. There are a total of 18 stops in the continuous loop. The loop takes about 35-40 minutes to make a complete loop. If you are looking to go to the public beach, you would want to get get off at stop #7 and if you want to go to the bouy at the southernmost point of Key West for that famous picture, you will want to get off at stop #10. At each stop, there is a pole with a QRC code to scan, and it gives you the real-time location of the bus. The bus driver is not really able to have a tour conversation while driving because he really needs to keep his eye on the road because of the traffic and tourists who wander the streets. The driver does accept tips for the free ride around town. I recommend this mode of transportation if you want to see the town of Key West.

So obviously I am going to give this Key West cultural landmark and plaza 5 stars because IT SHARES MY NAME!! Like many others have said, this is a tourist hot spot with lots of beachy shopping, restaurants, and museums. My dad made sure to take lots of photos of me by my namesake plaza while we visited Key West on family trips back when I was a kid. I wasn't so enthused to pose back then but I am now as an adult!! Mallory isn't a common name so I have a biased opinion of anything or anyone that is named Mallory. I can't wait to come back and get even more time in MY square! :)

Kids were annoyed with the wait times in the heat ! They took pics of us and used ChatGPT and Claude to just put this in the background and it was so real ! As parents we still waited 45 plus minutes just to get the same pic they got with Claude every family was taking its own time . Sometimes a family of 10 take group pic and everyone in the family also takes solo pictures... we were like - "come on. " .. if you plan to go better go after sunset or before 9 AM...
