In Publix plaza: Women working have less than desirable food handling skills and cleanliness. One kept playing with her nose jewelry then used those fingers to grab food gloves touching the outside of those gloves. Another sneezed into her hands then walked into the other room behind the counter and never washed her hands, returning to the food service area. Also after putting lettuce in subs I saw a worker sweep off the lettuce from the countertop back into the lettuce bin. Ugh!!!! Little wonder why ppl get sick eating in restaurant/fast food places. I just met Zion for the first time have not encountered her before with an amazing employee not only was she stopping everything she was doing to help me with all my silly questions about the origin of the meats, but she also went above and beyond to make me and my small family feel like we were at home. How do you go lower than 1 srtar? I received an email from Firehouse subs today stating name of the day for BOGO is Bobby, Gordon, Rachel, Anthony, Julia, or Guy. I dove to my local Firehouse subs (4100 N Wickham Rd #107, Melbourne, FL 32935), who I order from 1 time a week to be told my name doesn't match the name of the day. Apparently, your ID has to match exactly what is stated on the offer. Bob doesn't work, it must be Bobby. I asked to speak with the manager Ashley who blew me off and said sorry. After leaving, I called corporate, which took hours. While on the phone with corporate they asked me to connect with the manger to discuss; the manager on the phone would not give me her name and hung up me 2 times. This location is a joke, and they will not even speak with their corporate office. I will never buy from them again and recommend no one does either. They truly don't care about their customers and treat them horribly. Good luck going If you have a complaint, they will ignore you and screw over. Pass this to shut them down. read more

I love Firehouse Subs. Upon my move to the East Coast, I was overjoyed to see that they exist here. Firehouse has been my choice recovery fuel for crazy Vegas nights. The sandwiches are on par here in Melbourne as they were at every location I've been to throughout the Las Vegas Valley. This pleases me. This store and the reason I am giving it 3 stars (which pains me) is that the service and staff here are not delivering the same great service, cleanliness, and ambiance that I have experienced. The staff were openly talking about inappropriate things, how much they hated their co-workers, and various other stuff that was grossly inappropriate to talk about in front of customers, let alone the sandwich making floor. The restaurant was empty besides my father and I eating. What really tops it off, is the manager/supervisor yelling at an associate being over $5 and then telling this now disgruntled employee he has to say because his replacement looked to be a no call, no show. Went in around 8:00 for two subs. We were the only people in the store. Waited 30 minutes for the worker to make two subs. One worker sat in the back on a ladder where we could see her, on her phone. While one worker took a half hour to make our subs- because she kept stopping to talk to her friend who sat at the counter. It was awkward because she was talking badly about all of her coworkers out loud so we could hear. She also kept touching her hat with her gloves as she made our food. I normally don't write bad reviews because I worked in the food industry and I understand being swamped and trying your best... but to be the only people in the whole store and just awkwardly sit there listening about their work drama and wait a half hour for a sandwich was ridiculous. read more

My number one for a sub in Florida. Hands down, these firehouse subs were the best sandwiches I had while in Florida if you don't count all the Cuban sandwiches I ate. They had various hot sauces that you can add to your sandwiches and the way they toasted them.. I'm not much of a fan of toasted sandwiches, but this place made them like no one else. And no matter how many terrible quiznos I have had since, they can never do it like this place did. The perfect day was to go by here on the way over to Disney World and grab my lunch so I can take into the park. Now, I sort of had to buy two because I would inevitably just eat one on the drive to Disney's chunk of land. There's nothing like biting into one of these sandwiches while sitting around Universe B Disney. There was just something magical about the sandwiches here. Always a great comfort food. You may have seen the guy holding the sign saying they have roaches. They do! I found a roach in my sub. We took it back, and said "we found a bug in the sub." The response was "like a roach? Do you want another one?" The owner offered a refund and said they would call the exterminator. Surely the employees knew there was a problem if the response was "like a roach?" read more

I used to like this place, but after getting sick on 2 separate occasions..I don't think I'll be going back for a third.

My sandwich was great and staff friendly. The table I sat down at looked clean at first but then I decided to wipe it and found it filthy.

Customer service is shit here. Several times I go here with a friend and everytime I feel unwelcome. Soda machine wasn't working asked them what's going on with the machine and got a attitude and then the manager came out and had no idea what was going on asking his employees if the machine drain is still broken. Like no communication, horrible customer service. I felt like I was bothering them. Won't be back. read more

There was only 1 other person ahead of us who had already ordered when we walked in. Ordered a bowl not a cup of chicken and dumplings. I would hate to see the cup. The bowl is the size of a sample in other restaurants. Overpriced and misleading. They should have the bowls and cups for viewing. If they had I would NEVER have spent money to eat what I consider a sample size. Also the 2 women working were talking with one another so much it took over 25 minutes to get our order of 1 sub and 1 tiny "bowl" of chicken and dumplings. They were also a little inappropriate in their responses to my order and made me feel stupid and weird for ordering chicken and dumplings and for not wanting a drink. They made no weird comments about the order of the gentleman who was with me. I would not go back there first for the way I was treated and 2nd for the cost of a so called "bowl" of chicken and dumplings. A bowl should be larger than 2" diameter and 2" tall. I don't eat much at one time but I would need 4 of those "bowls" for a decent single serving. read more

I had a custom made vegge sub at 11;30 today, I have never left feedback before for food before but this was the best sandwich i ever ate in my life. I could not stop eating the large whole wheat statue mushrooms, vegetables and fresh olive, cukes, peppers, onions and what every else was on it it was so goooood! It had 3 kinds of cheese all perfect melted the oils and blend of seasons where in-creditable like nothing i ever tasted. 10 times better than subway! Service very fast 6 minutes i was out the door. The ONLY place for a sub/sandwich. This one is just close to home, but they're all great!

I have always loved Firehouse. First time at this location and will not be going back. The store is in disrepair, water stains on ceiling, torn chair cusions, stains on table tops, torn stacks of napkins holding up table legs so they dont wobble, cracked floor tiles, chipping paint, doors open to garbage receptacles. Thats only what I can see. The owner really needs to step up and take care of their store and needs to retrain their "managers." I have seen the manggers treat the othe employees like crap, they all need attitude checks. They need to set an example for the others and act professional. The one guy that I guess is a manager is very rude, freaks out in front of customers, dont ask him for anything he seems like he will snap at any moment. The cashier was very nice and polite along with a couple others. The service was fast and was presented very well. I will not be back untill this store cleans up its act, I mean if the dining room looks like that I can imagine how the rest of the store looks. Now there was no trash on the tables or on the floor so they keep the floor swept and the tables clean, at least. When you own a buisness, take care of it; especially when it comes to food. Because this store needs some TLC. I mean they are simple fixes too! So why not take care of it!
