They come out and replaced all gutters and down spouts. After the job had been completed their foreman and I had a conversation about a trouble spot where the front porch roof meets the main part of the house. It had been a trouble spot even before the gutter had been replaced but had been solved by just adding caulking between the house and where gutters butted up against the house. When the new gutters were installed that caulking had been removed and no new caulking put in its place. I was told by their representative that flashing had been installed by the roofing company to deflect water away from this area. So I thought all was good. Not so. About a year latter I noticed that the siding was starting to show signs of deterioration. Just thinking it was just bad siding I thought I would just replace the bad siding. Once the bad siding was taken off we noticed that about a six foot section of the sub siding all around that area was very wet and had totally deteriorated. When I saw this I called Branched Out Gutters to see if they would repair the damage. Their rep came out and looked at the damage and said they would not help out with the cost of the repairs. So all the repairs were on me. I told their rep that I thought that just a 10in. deflector plate where the house meets the porch roof would solved the problem. He agree to bring out a deflector plate but it has been at least six months and I have not heard from him yet. My opinion is that they are not a very reliable company to do the job right and stand behind their work.

The company who'd replaced our roof didn't replace the flat part. They said it didn't need to be replaced. It was a rainy day when they collected the check. As soon as they were gone, our family room ceiling opened up and gallons of water poured in. The roofing company agreed to replace the flat roof but they did a sloppy job. I had someone on my roof who was screening off areas where critters could access our attic and they told me that flat roof needed to be replaced, sooner than later. I contacted several companies recommended by people on the Nextdoor app. One company came out to give me a quote but never returned my calls. Another company told me they were only doing roof replacements. I appreciated their honesty. I was very specific when I called roofing companies; I didn't need a new roof. One guy came out and told me he could contact my insurance company and tell them my roof had been damaged from a storm. We'd not had any damage to our roof from storms and that's bordering on insurance fraud. I decided to check out Yelp recommendations and saw that Easton had a lot of good reviews. When I called, they were very nice and told me they'd send someone out. The guys from Easton were there on time and they gave me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable so I called to schedule the repair. The workers were very nice, professional, timely and they were there everyday until it was finished. They cleaned up after the repair so I wasn't finding random pieces of roofing material. Everyone, from the woman who answered the phone to the guys who did the repair was very nice and the whole process was seamless. Easton completed the repair and after years of checking ceilings, I can finally relax. Another contractor I'd used to remodel our house often needed access to the roof. I didn't ask him to check the flat roof but while he was up there, he wanted to check it out. He assured me they'd done a very good job and then asked for their info so he'd have the name of a good roofing company if one of his clients was looking to replace their roof. When an outstanding contractor is impressed with the work done by another company and asking for the company's info, that says a lot. If we have to replace our roof, we'll definitely use Easton and if anyone needs a roof replacement or repair, I highly recommend them. They've earned those 5 star reviews.

Noticed when we bought our home a few years back that there were new gutters and downspouts, except for a key area around our side porch. One group told us "oh, you can't have gutters there based on blah blah blah." I was discouraged and went another rainy season without them, only to have water slapping off the sides and messing with the foundation around it. This group came out, sized it up quickly, explained how they would go about putting gutters on, and that it wouldn't be difficult. I think the group who said I couldn't have gutters on this part was speaking in code for: this is a small job and we don't want to do it. Fortunately, the Gutter Cover crew did. They were really booked out, so we put this on the calendar and waited a month or so. This was one area for improvement. After I signed on to have the work done, there was zero communication, no emails, follow ups, calendar reminders, nothing. I even forgot about it, so I gave them a call to check in and then I was put on the calendar for the following day. Not a big deal, but a confirmation email would've been nice. The work was done quickly, and while it's dusty and dry with no rain in sight, I'm sure they'll hold up well. One thing I want to add to close this out. It isn't the biggest job, and the name of the biz is Gutter Cover, so naturally they would want to sell me on those. The guy I visited with picked up quickly that it wasn't of interest to me at this time, and wasn't pushy or rude. I really appreciated that and it gave me confidence to book them.
