Wonderful experience,this is our second time using this company and their customer service is hands down the best. We have stayed in Dancing Water twice. The property is clean and well kept. This time when we came the fireplace wasn't working,we called the office and they came out immediately and had it fixed by the time we came back from dinner. The lady was friendly. But the cabin bed pillows were dirty as hell we took the covers off and took the bed covers off the sheets had stains on them, so we washed everything to be clean. Put them pillows on the floor used are own. Hot tub was so nasty. Lifted the lid smelled like someone just took a shit in it. So, I went right to the filter. Pulled that out filled total packed on green shit. Took cleaned that. And drained refilled the tub. Called the lady she asked take a pic. sent that over She said don't do nothing. Did it. Well, the next day. She had some guy come out he changed the filter that was it. So we went to the hot tub place got some stuff. $10 took put it in ran it so we got to use it. Lazy ass people. We rented a chalet from fireside and the room had swept in corners cobwebs master bed. I asked the wife could we call and get moved she said we was hours so I did not. I called them when we got back home and they offered me $58 for my inconvenience. We spent over $2000. This company is VERY DISHONEST! Do not rent from them! The property was perfectly lovely, but this company is terrible! They have falsely accused me of damages that we did not incur. They give you a couple of hours to report anything you notice damaged when you check-in and all I can say is you had better go over the entire house with a fine-tooth comb and take photos of EVERYTHING! They are charging me over $150 for a cracked plug plate, a blind clip, and a lamp shade that has damaged on the underside of it. Not only did we not damage any of these items, but they are all in hard to see areas to have noticed they were damage to be able to report it to them when we checked in. First, I would like to say, I have never rented a place that doesn't give out the address until a couple of hours before arrival?? 1st red flag! Check in was at 4:00 and they would notify us when the cabin was cleaned & ready. Around 12:30 we received email the cabin Mountain Side at Pigeon Forge was clean & ready to go! Unfortunately, we had some family emergencies we got off to a late start which delayed our check in around 6:30. When we finally arrived the cabin had a smell! Not a clean spruced up smell of something that was cleaned a couple of hours ago. At this time we're exhausted, tired & hungry. We are ready to eat, shower & go to bed because we new we had long day ahead of us. My 82 old mother, keep in mind she is on oxygen, emphysema & COPD decide to take the bedroom on main floor. Next morning, I started cooking our breakfast. I pre washed the items I would be using. This is when things unfolded! Dirty dishes, nasty oven & counters tops nasty! I start accessing the freshly clean cabin?? Yeah right?? Spoke with a manager, i demanded someone to come out and they didn't have anyone that could come! She agreed to send someone out to clean and make things right. Ok, things happen and we are trying to give benefit of the doubt?? We went about our busy day, after arriving back to the cabin, no smell of cleaning products?? The cleaner had taken a plant which had 3 inches of dust on it and turned it around to a side with less dust?? She made a swipe down beside the bed. ( No No cleaner this is not acceptable!) I'll post photos where she supposedly cleaned. I'm furious! I call manager complaining nothing was done! Her exact words, mam I was on the phone with the cleaning service and she replied yes she was there & touched it up! See the photos after she cleaned?? Really and let me know your thoughts?? Again keep in mind my mom has breathing issues & is on oxygen! After being back and fourth on the phone with the manager, she requested photos of the issues. Thank you manager for requesting the photos so I could have proof of our horrible experience!!! To the gentleman that gave a review about his clean cabin, I'm glad yours was cleaned because I had to spend countless hours on the phone with the manager. She explained that the cabin is scheduled for a deep cleaning in January. ( This was not going to help us because it is December). Apparently, from the photos this the only cleaning the cabin gets for the year! The manager did get a young male out to address some of our issue's, at least it was a attempt!! Fireside Crystal Waters 6-9-25 for one week with family of 7. Ad boosted of location which was great. Also showed pictures of a beautiful outdoor cooking space day and evening use. However, this large space was not usable due to filthy severely molded chair cushions covered in ants. A previously wooden drawer front repaired with a drywall screw broke and fell off with my grandchild having to jump out of the way. There were many other concerns: broken toilet, toilet seat that didn't fit, lower level shower broken, filthy carpets I. Master bedroom, filthy dusty drapes hanging over lower level bed. Screen on porches full of spider webs, leaves, and dirt. Refrigerator stopped making ice and needed a filter. Communication with office was difficult at best. If you rent BE SURE IN THE FIRST TWO HOURS YOU FULLY CHECK Everything AND REPORT IT. Would not rent from them again. How do they rent a unit and not know about the filth. The cabin was Mountainside #409. My neice rented it for her mother's 60th bday, the pics looked great. What a scam! They were there from Friday 3 October to Friday 10 Oct 25. They had never been to Pigeon Forge and will probably not want to come back. I was there from Saturday 4th Oct - 9th Oct. This cabin is not maintained and down right nasty. We saw roaches, bathroom not clean, floors dirty, the washer did not work. Maintenance finally came on Thursday to fix and said it was completely shot. BTW the green light was on when they got there so the cleaners had to know. It was dirty, dusty, furniture was ripped and worn. Beds old and lumpy. Towels smelled and not enough towels and wash clothes for 4 although the cabin slept 10. No way to wash them. Fireside wanted us to bring trash to them. Crazy! When I rent in January, I can tell you, it won't be thru them. Fireside obviously doesn't care as long as they get their money! DO NOT rent Mountainside #409 cabin or from Fireside! read more

READ FULL REVIEW! We enjoyed the cabin itself. It was just right for our family (3 toddlers, 1 infant), it was very clean and welcoming. The game room was well used and a hit with the kids. There were damages to the porch during our stay which we reported and someone came out to assess and that was that. Upon arrival we noticed the hot tub was cloudy, and the bottom appeared rusty in color. This was a bummer because that was a big selling point for us when booking. My husband assumed it needed to be shocked. He looked at the filter and it was yellow and old. We decided against using it because we have 3 young kids and didn't want to risk infection. We didn't bother contacting the rental company, it wasn't a huge deal to us since the rest of the cabin was amazing and the kids enjoyed the game room more than they would have the hot tub anyway. When we checked out we received a $195 charge to our account, to which they said we had put some kind of lotion in the hot tub and it was required to be drained and cleaned twice. They also claimed to have needed to purchase a new filter. When we called to discuss the issue and to tell them we never had used the tub once, it looked like that upon us arriving, they said that it was too bad and we would still be charged. Then ironically they said "the cleaning lady drains the water after each guest leaves", yet they said they had to drain the water after we left as if it was a new occurrence and a hassle. We said that maybe the cleaning lady had forgotten to change the water prior to our arrival, to which Anna, the guest relations manager, said "we have had the same cleaning lady for 15 years, she would never do that". We asked if they could look at the report the cleaning lady had made when she completed the clean prior to us arriving, which they said she made a report every time she cleaned, and they refused to look at it. It was clearly her word over ours. We asked for a receipt of the filter, which they said would take a couple of days. How can it take a couple days to get a receipt for the filter if they apparently had to buy it when we left? Had we actually made the hot tub have an issue like this, we would be more than willing to pay for the filter and whatever else was damaged. I would not recommend this company or cabin rental to anybody. The house itself was nice, but the customer service and ethics of the company are abhorrent. Staff helpful, they strive to help their guests. Cabin was clean and comfortable. The staff worked thru the snow and freezing temperatures we got while here to keep guests comfortable and to unthaw frozen pipes! Cabin 168: I rate service low bc they wait until the last minute to give you your location and access code. Very strange they don't trust thier customers. I've stayed at MANY cabins and don't have to beg for access. I don't see how it can be for "security". We spend lots of money and need to know we aren't being scammed and need to know we actually have a place to stay before arrival. Me and my husband are staying here for our anniversary. (Im sure they will respond saying they don't have a reservation in my name but obviously my husband isn't going to review and he got it for us but rest assured I am here). I read other reviews about house cleaning and things messed up and should have known they didn't fix the issues . I've stayed at nicer places. I give this a better rate just because the location is perfect and so is the view and the drive up. I would need proof everything was fixed before I stayed again. If I didn't have issues as pictured I would rate a 5! Nothing here is actually "broken". It's just very dirty, frumpy and annoying to site and in need of small repairs and updates. For the price they certainly can have it all done fast and easy. Rest assured I will post this on vrbo and trip advisor in hope the owners see how their property is ran by this business . There is old worn out and warped dirty furniture, the outside has junk all over the ground , light bulbs out , the shower has very low pressure and many of the spouts don't shoot out water , when I say spiders and webs from floor to ceiling no way they have pest control and don't sweep them down ! Beware of spiders all over ! It's cool in the evening and night and apparently we pay for a fireplace but are not allowed to use it bc they deem only people in the certain time of year that pay the same price I do should be allowed to use the fireplace , and the wifi password is hand written and takes 10 times entering for it to work . This review is more about Fireside Chalets than the accommodation. Our original booking was at a mountainside cabin, but for personal reasons we requested a different location upon arrival. (The cabin was beautiful, 5-star.) Luck was on our side and a house rental became available within the hour and we took it. The house was conveniently close to Pidgeon Forge (5-star), and had all the usual comforts of home (4-star), plus a spa. It is filthy, chairs and table broken, food on utensils, only 3 forks, mold in the bathrooms, a toilet seat that is worse than any rest stop bathroom I've ever seen, linens that are from 1970. It's awful. Property said they'll put us in a cabin for 1 night, another cabin for 2 nights and yet another cabin for 2 nights. First off the cabin name was a little piece of heaven. I called it a little piece of hell. I booked it because it was the last cabin at the top of the mountain to have the piece and quiet. Celebrating my 60th birthday. The inside was great but the back deck was was so dirty. Tables hadn't been cleaned deck hadn't been swept and the hot tub had dirt all in the bottom and that was one of my main reasons to get this cabin. Then there was a new cabin being built and they were banging and sawing till after 10 PM which you couldn't even enjoy sitting outside. Check in of course is late and you didn't get all information until the day of. I would not recommend this place. I'm a local and just wanted a couple days to get away. I would have been better off just staying home. Over 600 bucks for really one and a half days. Checked on on Thursday at 4 checked out on Saturday by 10 AM. This company will cheat you! Renters BEWARE. We paid $700 for a 3 bedroom chalet (Fuzzy Bear) for two nights. There was a substantial cleaning fee. However when we got home we were informed that there would be an additional cleaning fee of $52.37 because they felt that a comforter was dirtier than expected. I called the company back and they would not change their minds. All boiling down to they ripped us off for an additional $50 bucks. I have never been charged additional fees from any other company and I have rented houses and condos from Gulf Shores to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/ to Orlando. We stayed in Firesides Bootleggers cabin. It was beautiful. The only reason I couldn't mark it 5 stars is because some of the items we looked forward to where messed up. The hammock (which was the biggest reason I wanted the cabin) and been ripped/broken. Also the game system was out of service, which my kids were bummed about. Also, the location of the cabin was way off from what they told us. However, the cabin was peaceful, sleeps 10, and had an air hockey table, pool tables, games, books, a hot tub and tons of other items to keep you busy. They did have wifi and cable which was nice since my husband wasn't able to travel with us and it's nice to watch a little tv at the end of the night. read more

We had purchased cancellation insurance thinking this would cover if something happened. No it didn't. Roads to the cabin were closed and we have texts telling us this. I called three times. They would not refund or offer us another stay. I said ok what if we did make it up there and can't get out. Oh no problem just stay and we will charge you 300 a night. Our lives would have been in danger if we attempted to go. Mountain roads and ice? No thank you. I am a member of a Facebook group I love the Smokey mountains. I posted this there and less than 24 hours over 300 people have viewed and responded. So many people said they wouldn't book here means WAY more than my 600.00 That makes me feel a little better !! read more

Ours was a One-Night Stay at the Sweet Dreams. We paid over $330 bc the cleaning fee alone was close to $100. When we arrived at 3 pm for check-in, they told us that the cleaning ppl were still cleaning our Cabin but we told them we didn't mind as long as we can go and unload the truck & bring our things in. When we got to the Cabin, a woman and her son were cleaning (nice and kind people) but let me tell you... when they left and we were able to settle, we noticed one of the main tables was dirty with "grease" but not big deal, we cleaned it ourselves but soon after we noticed the carpet was not vacuumed, it was grossed, it had crumbs, tags, straws, plastic, Even a dirty sock! We couldn't take our shoes off. In addition, the smaller table was sticky and that's when we decided to call them to let them know. 3 hours later they sent the cleaning person. By then, we questioned the couch cushions, couch looked dirty. We found a spider in the tub of the master room so we slept in the kids room (we didn't kill him bc it's not his fault lol) Also, the fireplace didn't work. We heard strange noises at night, it was eery. Otherwise, Nice looking cabin & bear decorations. The whole point here is that after paying such high cleaning fee, we shouldn't have to come to a dirty cabin. Very disappointed, we won't be coming here again. read more

We stayed at the Hidden Magic Cabin on Walker Trail (#905). We walked in and the cabin was filthy. I called this company 3 times, emailed them once. Finally,I spoke with some one who refunded $80, after we got home and emailed the pictures I took. The inside jacuzzi tub had the worst dirt ring around it. The outside hot tub was blowing out chunks of brown. The hot tub cover had brown fuzzy stuff growing on it. I could go on. I cleaned the cabin top to bottom except hot tub and jacuzzi. I wanted my husband and I to be somewhat comfortable. Every customer rep. I spoke to was super nice. Unfortunately, nothing got done. I feel sorry for the owner of this cabin. Been renting cabins for about 8 years in the Pigeon Forge and nobody holds a candle to Fireside. Their cabins are the cleanest and most maintained in the mountains. The staff is the nicest I have ever experienced. When issues arise they are quick and efficient. I can't say enough good things about them. We recently had a last minute trip and could not find a cabin for our group at Fireside and we were forced to rent from Cabins USA. Let me just say it was a huge mistake. And the difference between the 2 is Night and Day. We were looking at buying a cabin at one point and even the realtor we worked with recommended them when and if we decided to rent it out. That says a lot. It's just a great company who actually cares about the peoples experience. read more

OWL'S NEST - PIGEON FORGE, TN Based on the pictures of the cabin it looked like a wonderful vacation spot that would even allow a dog. The cabin decking and outside had the tired look with the decking needing staining and some of the boards need replacing. The outside appears that male dogs have relieved themselves on the spindles and not been washed down and then therefore when you enter the cabin it smells of pee as it blows through. There were boards that appeared to have been used by woodpeckers with holes in them. There was not a vacuum found and there were dead bugs in the corners of the room and lady bugs flying in the kitchen and living room. We brought some of our own food wrapped individually and left on countertop area of kitchen. On day four we saw two cockroaches that we immediately killed and thought they may have came out of the kitchen drain. On day 5 we called customer service in the morning because we saw two more cockroaches. The customer service person asked if we wanted it sprayed right away or can it wait until we were gone. Really!! This was a huge deal to us as we have never had that problem at our home and so we said immediately. We left for our day of activities and came back and did not know if anyone has showed up. I called customer service and they said someone had sprayed. We threw away all the food that was on the counter and still had the cooler sitting on kitchen floor. The next day we left to come home. We were very careful and brought nothing inside our home as we were afraid the cockroaches could have crawled in our luggage or cooler and yes we did have a stowaway in the cooler. We were told to leave bedding on bed and towels on floor in bathroom and empty garbage. I just hope next person who comes in to stay at this location finds it in much better shape than we did. read more

My wife surprised me for a weekend in Tennessee for my birthday at Antlers Crossing with Fireside Chalets. Upon arriving, we noticed just how filthy and dirty the chalet was. Fingerprints on coffee table, light not working over sink, dried up egg dripping down front of stove, kitchen plates were stored on a vertical and so dusty underneath them. An old dental floss piece found under table along with candy and wrapper. Hot tub had weird odor and cover was disgusting. The screens were filthy with pollen and just haven't been cleaned in years as well as front and rear porches need pressure washing and cleaning. The furniture was so old and outdated, we had to go and purchase sheets to cover them. The broom in the closet had no bristles left like a witch had been airborne at night. I noticed upon leaving they sent me a form asking how our stay was. We gave it a 3-star. Then we noticed Fireside Chalets ONLY put on 5-star reviews on website. We feel this is not being honest with the next person looking to stay here. Very deceitful practice by their staff. BEWARE!! My wife cleaned for 2 hours after we arrived and I had to go to store and purchase cleaning supplies! Nice way to start vacation at 4pm. Also, they will NOT give you codes or key until right at check-in time. Now we see why!! They reimbursed me 75.00 which was a joke. The rental was about 1/2 of what all fees were. This place was the ultimate disappointment. We stayed here during the pandemic when cleaning practices should be at their BEST. Instead, we found fresh make up stains, blood stains, and piles of hair in both bed sheets and on top of all pillows (photos attached) It was clear the linens had not been changed from the previous guest and the entire unit had been surface cleaned at BEST. We attempted to contact the company at 12:45am at their emergency number when the mess was found, but could not contact anyone. We had no where else to go at this point so we slept on top of towels. Upon contacting the company in the morning to ask for a refund we were told no because we decided to stay the night. The cabin we rented had numerous issues. The master bed was missing the sheet, dishwasher was not working and had stinking water standing in the bottom, dirty dishes in the cabinets, trash had not been taken off and there were 2 large black trash cans full of trash upon our arrival, and the electrical wall pots kept falling off in the bathroom. I emailed and sent messages to the Fireside Chalet company via Vrbo, but they never responded. When I called to tell them the issues and that we were leaving early, they just said ok and that was it. Staying at an awesome cabin in Sevierville, TN (3540 Olde Tyme Way). This one is called "Sweet Mountain Air", and is a very cozy cabin. There is plenty of room to have a family of 5-10 stay comfortably. I brought my family of five to this cabin, and we don't feel cramped at all. It is just minutes from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but is secluded enough to help you relax at the end of the day. Speaking of relaxing, there is a nice hot tub at the property. Also featured is a master bedroom, large family room, upstairs loft style bedroom, two bathrooms, and a game room with foosball and pool table. This place is great, and we will definitely be returning. read more

Horrible cabin condition. They were unable to fix a bathroom throughout our stay of 3 nights for 14 people. We stayed at Rainbows End( DO NOT RECOMMEND) cabin was not throuroughly cleaned nor equipped with all tthat thheir website states. We found a trash bag and pot full of oil on porch along with FECES in every corner of the 3 porches. Bugs on window seal. If I could give them -0 stars i would. I tried to be fair and ask for half of my refund at least but Capital One sided with fireaide due to the terms and conditions they make you sign BEFORE you even see the cabin. Make aure you don't sign anything till you inspect your cabin. I will be contacting BBB and the Health Department to file a complaint as well. We just got home from our amazing stay at A Beary Good Time! The cabin was amazing...great porch, hotbtub, clean, everything you need as far as movies, kitchen stuff, space. Our family of 9 had a fabulous time!! The only disappointment was finding out today that they offer a free night if you stay 4 nights(which we did) and no one told us about this special. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We stayed in the Mountain Magic cabin which was previously owned by a wonderful couple before they sold to them. It was below 60 degrees in the cabin and one of their workers came to check it and he said it was fine when he didn't even know where the heat vent was. When a professional was called, there was a part broken so we had to wait until the afternoon of the next day to get it fixed. In the meantime, we came in the cabin to dirty sheets, one bed cover had a huge urine stain on it. Both toilets were filthy with brown stuff coming down the side of them, the refrigerator was disgusting, there was garbage under the bed and stains on the lights with a lot of dust all over the mirrors. It was definitely the dirtiest place I have ever been to which is really sad because it is a really cute cabin. We would have turned around and went home if we didn't just spend 12 hours in traffic to get there. We will NEVER go back. read more

We recently recently rented a two bedroom, two bath chalet through Fireside Chalet in Pigeon Forge, TN for a weekend. Although the site had photos of each room, I still did not have high expectations of what we would be walking into. You just never know nowadays. I just knew that I could not fathom paying almost $130 a night at a Holiday Inn so we found this company through a family friend. However, all of my uncertainty vanished the moment we arrived in the quaint residential neighborhood were our chalet was located. Our "little house," as I called it was absolutely gorgeous! There were beautifully shined hard wood floors, a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and two spacious bedrooms with sinfully comfortable beds! There was also a cute back porch complete with rocking chairs and a hot tub. I can't tell you how nice it was to have space to spread out. We had the convenience of being minutes away from the activities, dining, entertainment and shopping of Pigeon Forge without being in the hustle and bustle, there was even a major grocery store chain down the hill from our house. I loved this place and while it might not be for everyone, I though it was the perfect way to get away but still be close to the action. The only drawback and the reason for fours stars and not five, was that we did not have control over the thermostat. However, each room had a ceiling fan and the weather was very nice for this time of year so it wasn't that much of an issue. read more
