March 9th- 13th 2025 - Bear Nekkid Cabin was one of the BEST one we stayed in that is dog friendly (unlike Romantic Hideaway which smelled of dog pee and was not cleaned ). We gave a generous donation to the housekeeper for Bear Nekkid Cabin! We will always return to this cabin for sure . First of all, let me say that customer service was excellent. Also, they provide a number of free local tickets which we used a couple and that saved us a little money. But this review is for the TERRIBLE cabin we rented from them called GOSPHEL GETAWAY. When we arrived, it was immediately apparent the A/C was not working. Called it in and the maintenance guy that showed up tried to tell me I didn't know how to operate the remote. So we lived with an inoperative A/C unit for 6 days. Wasn't too bad as the nights were cool and we were gone most of the time so we just endured it. But the cabin has issues. The hot tub was dirty to the point I didn't feel comfortable to use it and it never got above 96 degrees so it didn't matter. Too cold for a hot tub. Also, there is a leak somewhere around the sink as a puddle of water formed on the floor every time we washed the dishes. This is important, this cabin is very close to the area waste management facility so 3 of the days here, it smelled so bad outside that it would literally gag you to breath outside. I could go on with more issues but you should get the picture by now. Overall, this was a bad stay culminating from a bunch of bad experience. We will never stay here again. Pay a little more and get a cabin somewhere else. I know I will. read more

I can't say enough great things about our experience with Auntie Belham's. Staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. Our cabin, Above the Smoke, was beyond beautiful. Looked exactly like the pictures showed on their website. Everything was very clean and in great condition. Our cabin looked brand new and even smelled new when we arrived. Appliances worked great and the hot tub was also very clean. If we come back to Gatlinburg, we will definitely will be staying at one of these cabins again. I will be recommending Auntie Belham's to friends and family. Only complaint is that there were a ton of stink bugs and lady bugs in our cabin the entire time which I'm sure is inevitable in the middle of the woods. read more

We stayed at the Family Tradition Cabin in Gatlinburg - 5 families that came together and there was plenty of space for all of us. What we loved: -Room and bathroom for everyone -Large open floor plan - with indoor games and media room. -Large backyard for the kids to play - basketball court! Bring your own basketballs and other yard toys. -Large covered porch, although we did not sit out there much because of all the mosquitos - bring spray! -Close to a grocery store and downtown Gatlinburg! What we disliked: -Kitchen is a little small for such a large space - but appreciated the two large tables for everyone to eat at. -Kitchen could use another fridge - ours was maxed out on space - one standard fridge is not enough for such a large cabin - think large family meals, need to be stored! -Wifi did not work quite a bit of the time - no big deal since we still had service, but it would have been nice to have been working properly. Overall, no big issues and would recommend. We made things work with our large family. Check in and check out were easy. Anytime we had issues/questions come up prior to or during our arrival, Auntie Belham's was quick and responsive. read more

Silver Maple We have had so many memories in this home away from home during the Christmas and New Years holidays. This year was different as our family has expanded in a way it can no longer hold our needs. Not the fault of the facility. Playing dominoes, puzzles, and cards with 3 and 4 gens under one roof. This is my second visit to Auntie Belhams. We were here in April 2016 with both our dogs and my Puggle especially LOVED hiking with my husband. My Puggle passed away 3 months ago and today we are taking some of his ashes to spread in the mountains. Auntie Belhams has been so kind and accommodating. I truly don't understand the bad reviews. I do have a theory - my other review talks about it. If I have one complaint - it's the fees they charge. Still very upset over how they handled our reservation during the beginning of pandemic,promises where made to be able to rebook and they where extending reservation dates to accommodate the ones that had to be cancelled. We should of asked for our deposit back but we didn't.. When we tried to rebook they where constantly booked.and the next time my husband tried to rebook they said our reservation has expired.. Due to covid we were unable to keep our reservation. 10 days notice is plenty of time to find other renters. They kept half my money anyway. I have used them in the past and they were definitely not anything to brag about. We were unable to use the kitchen to cook as the kitchen exhaust did not work. First I want to say the staff was very friendly when making reservations during spring break. Second the location is great, not far from Gatlinburg and right off the main road in Pigeon Forge. The cabin was nice but I will start with the cons first. We stayed at Heavenly View. It didn't have much of a view and the hot tub had no working lights. There were mice or rats in the wall downstairs in the cabin (where the game room and downstairs bedrooms were. You could hear them at night. Nothing upstairs buts it is made from different material. This terrified the kids but we had two more floors to stay on so. The cabin was for the most part clean but very dated. It had one shower curtain made from thick velvet material that would mildew in no time. It grossed me out. The stove didn't work but we ate out the three days we were there and didn't notice until one of the kids went to reheat something at night. They for sure have plumbing issues, every time you take a shower it backs up. Pros. The front porch had a porch swing and you can see the ride across the way that stays lit up and goes up and down the mountain (those little car things) and that was pretty nice. The kitchen table was nice to sit at and the pool table and checkers game really made the kids happy. Overall we had a great weekend. read more

As a first time renter and visitor to the area, I was unsure of what to expect. I hit the jackpot! Not only was the area a beautiful nature filled testament to Gods creation but Auntie Belham's was a top notch rental service representative for the most beautiful cabin I could imagine, The Outbak. The view of the top of other mountains at sunrise and sunset was awe inspiring. The amenities including a hot tub and washer/dryer were wonderful. We needed maintenance during our stay and they were on the property in a short time and the issue was repaired quickly while we enjoyed our vacation. My family is already telling me to book the same cabin quickly so we can return as the beds were so very comfortable and they had such fun! Auntie Belhams ( Mountain Spirit). This has by far been my worst renting experience from any where much less a professional cabin rental company. Myself, family and friends will never rent from them again. We arrived on Thursday night around 11 pm upon arrival our cabin was filthy dirty ( cob webs, dust, hair on pillows and beds, Bobby pins on floor, wallpaper falling out, mold in the bathrooms, bugs in all light fixtures, toilet paper stuffed in holes in the wall, toilet paper under couch when we opened the pullout sofa, spiders in all bathrooms, bathroom cabinets peeling apart, pine sap all over porch, mildew and mold all over the furniture outside, water hose stretched across the porch, burn hole above outlets, broken rusted refrigerator, broken seat in hot tub, not warming hot tub this is just to name a few of the things. Upon speaking with the operations manager Velma she gave us one nights rent back minus the cleaning fee and damage waiver...how is this fair we have to pay for a filthy cabins " cleaning fee." As the manager she was very rude to us, raising her voice, very unwilling to help, not customer friendly, etc. I called back after leaving because we were still not happy with the results we got from the pictures we had and the very poor customer service from the operations manager to speak with someone above Velma I was informed she was the highest under the owner so I asked to speak to him but was informed that he was out the country so I asked for his voicemail was informed he didn't have one and that they could take my name and number to give to him upon his return. I asked when I should expect a call back and was told that it would be a few weeks or so. I'm sure I will have to call back in a few weeks because ill never hear from them. I have pictures of all of our issues with the cabin. We have sucked it up and only stayed here because we could not find anywhere else to accommodate all of us. I'm super disappointed with the way Auntie Belham managed my cabin concerns. I called the morning of check-out and left a voicemail about some of the safety concerns and the overall cabin concerns. I'm not a Karen- they are all legit! I never got a call back about those concerns, and when calling again to confirm checkout- the guest rep acknowledged that my voicemail was received, but didn't expand to ask more in-depth questions about the concerns or apologized for the incovenience, anything. The overall cabin was okay, but it was very evident that the property has an absentee owner (the cabin had possibly foundation issues with a sloping 1st first floor, leaky dishwasher, a broken stove burner, 1-2 dead trees that could fall on the property at any time, unkept woodline obstructing the view that was pictured/advertised, smell of sewage/ dirty water coming from the cabin). They took their money and ran...charging 360 per night, you would expect good customer service. I understand a cabin isn't not going to be perfect but the way Auntie Belham managed the concerns was disappointing and not reassuring. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would...they are lucky to get one. We booked 4 nights and woke up on morning one with an infestation of millipedes. Yes, they are harmless, but it is disgusting. We killed over 60 including 1 in our food cupboard. We called the company and they had maintenance come over to spray - it took several hours before they arrived which meant another 20 or so bugs to kill. They sprayed and less than 24 hours later, the bugs are back, this time also upstairs in our bedroom. My husband called again and they said there really isn't anything that can be done and they do the best they can. No way will we ever be back to one of their cabins. Bugs belong outdoors and I truly hope they have a change of heart and at least try to fix the issue for future families who stay here. Only two more nights (thank goodness for a king size bed so our 12 year-old can sleep with us). read more

We recently stayed in the Runnin Bear cabin and loved it! It was CLEAN, and very cozy. I LOVED the baskets full of blankets! The kitchen had very sufficient utensils although I would bring my own cheese knife next time. Lol! And the supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap) seemed to be the right amount for us. The hot tub was nice, seemed fairly new, but I did not like that it's placed so that one tiny part goes over the deck, where there is no railing. I wouldn't trust children or people who may have had too much to drink to be near that edge of the hot tub. Some people talk about the road to the cabin being difficult to travel but we didn't find that to be a problem. I've stayed in other cabins that were much worse to get to. Also the nav took us the WAY wrong way but google maps on my phone got us right to the cabin. I'd also like to mention that Auntie Belhams saved our day! We had booked with another company months in advance and were extremely disappointed with the filth of that cabin when we arrived. We called Auntie Belhams to see about the Runnin Bear, which I had found online. They were extremely helpful and very pleasant to work with. They were very thorough about what the cabin did and didn't have - so there were no surprises about there being no coffee or only one roll of paper towels. We were there on what was reported as the busiest weekend of the year so far and I'm so glad we were able to stay in such a wonderful cabin last minute. Thanks Auntie Belhams! read more

We stayed at the Lazy Daze cabin, and what a waste of money! I'm starting to believe the 5-star reviews on their website are fake. Let me start off by saying that we have been renting cabins in the mountains on an average twice a year since 2012. This one by far has been the worst, which is strange because Auntie Belhams has been a name we have been seeing all over the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area and thought they would be good. For starters, the pictures on the website are probably a decade old. The cabin doesn't look half as nice (more details below) and was filthy inside. The floors were literally cheap laminate, and the carpet on the staircase was stained and sticky! Every time I had to walk up the staircase bare feet, I cringed. And to think we had toddlers walking up and down here. The cabin features a hot tub, which looks NOTHING like the pictures. It doesn't even have cup holders or a wooden step to get into (it's raised from the deck unlike what's shown in the photos). And it has absolutely no privacy! All the guests at the other cabins could totally see us going up and down the road. I understand that they can't put it behind the cabin but at least put up a privacy screen! We have stayed at cabins that did that, in the least. The bedrooms, kitchen, and the living room has cool white light bulbs, I'm guessing to save electricity. But seriously, what a mood killer! Nothing says "warm and cozy" like cool white lights right? *eyeroll* The cabin boasts of a gas grill, which wouldn't light. We called maintenance because there wasn't even a lighter in the cabin. Once he brought the lighter over and we went to light the grill, it was FILTHY! We just decided to cook our steaks in the pan. They didn't even have salt and pepper at the cabin which was quite a shocker. Every single cabin we have stayed at has been so much better equipped with at least the basic ingredients. They can give out free popcorn and candy at the office but they can't provide salt and pepper?! Cheap! Also, no toiletries or hand soaps were provided whatsoever. We called maintenance and they said they will only provide bars of soap in the bathrooms, which also were missing. The pool table was a JOKE. Not only was there not enough space to even retract the stick to hit, there was a $500 fine posted if anyone moves the table. And the best part was the table wasn't even level! So if you somehow hit the cue ball, it would roll back to you! Why list amenities that don't even work as intended?? And to think we paid $236 a night for this BS. We were so disappointed with Auntie Belhams cabins. Never again, and will not recommend the company to anyone either. read more

We stayed in Mountain Paradise cabin in Gatlinburg. It's a 1-bedroom cabin but it is extremely bright, clean and cozy place to be at. It's fully equipped with any necessary amenities: washer, dryer, microwave, iron, dishes, toaster, blender, dishwasher, coffee machine. But as I noticed, 2 things that are missing: hairdryer and electric tea kettle but you can do without it:) hot tub is awesome. The view is exactly like it is shown on the pictures. This place exceeded our expectations! The location is great: 5 mins drive from downtown Gatlinburg and 10-15 from Pigeon Forge. It's a perfect getaway. We'll be back one day for sure. read more

A group of friends had booked a log cabin 2 months back for 4th July weekend, my friend who booked it got a call from them informing that cabin is not available and moved the booking to a regular house and told him it has pool !!! On checking, found they have relisted the log cabin at a higher price and the house offered to us does not have any swimming pool but just access to a community pool. They're just trying to make more money off last minute higher price rental. This is just daylight robbery, cheats, crooks. I'm going to file a complaint against them. read more

Stayed at Ben's Hideout (http://www.auntiebelhams.com/cabins/226-bens-hideout) with 5 friends. We had booked months in advanced, dreaming of our secluded cabin getaway in the mountains. We watched the video and read about the amenities weekly, excitement building as the vacations days came closer to the present. When we finally arrived there, maybe our expectations were just a little too high for our 4 day/3 night vacation. Or maybe the pictures just don't paint the "real" picture of the place. Pool room is unusable since the space is actually too small to use your sticks in there. We tried all shooting at 90 degree angles but honestly, none of us were that good at geometry. After 15 mins. we gave up and never went back in there. Seriously, why didn't they just put a foosball or air hockey table in there? Oh common sense, why are you neither? Basement had the media room and one of the bedrooms and bathrooms. The room had two queen beds so two of us stayed down there at all times. The toilet ran the entire time and was constantly clogged when we were able to use it. By Day 2, we had given up on that thing. By the way, did I mention there was carpet in that bathroom that just SOAKED up that clogged up toilet water? The first night, my friend went to use the bathroom and said her pant legs were all wet. I told her it was because of that toilet water. Immediately, she took off the pants and threw them into the washer. Washer- although we were so grateful to have a washer there, it took over an hour for the washer to fill with water. We could NOT believe that it didn't matter how big the load was; it still took an hour each time for the thing to fill up for it to start the cycle. Seriously WTF. Hot tub- we joke about the venereal diseases we probably contracted from that thing; it was that gross. The first night, we got there pretty late so the only thing we wanted was dinner and that hot tub. So we all crammed in there and had a good time in the barely warm water. The next morning, we realized what color that water in the tub was. Brown. And smelly. The chlorine did nothing for that smell. There was no drain so we had no idea how they actually washed that thing- if they ever did. And you know it's bad when you get out of the hot tub and smell the hot tub ALL OVER YOU. We all took extra hot baths that day. Which leads me to the saddest thing of all.... Bathroom- seriously all the bathrooms seemed to have a major problem. When someone showered in the 3rd floor bathroom, the ceiling in the kitchen would start leaking. And I don't mean a drip here and there. I mean a full-stream, ohshit!-where-is-all-this-water-coming-from-waterfall. We had 5 big pots and pans in that 400 sq ft space. So hell no, I definitely wouldn't recommend this place- to anyone. Especially when there's sooo many places you can stay that are as nice as their pictures. My first log cabin experience was magical and romantic. This time? Huge dose of reality. Especially after our second night when we had to fight off a persistent raccoon that was after all our used napkins and garbage. The only raccoon proofing they had there? A piece of firewood on top of the trash can lid and a fold-up chair leaning against it. That raccoon came back with a buddy when he/she realized how easy it was to open up that can by just standing on its hind legs. Word of advice: I would suggest going up there and checking out the cabin before you pay. Normally, there's plenty of cabins and deals galore. Most sit there empty so you end up with fantastic deals. This time, I felt like booking in advanced (at least with this place) meant we didn't as nice of a cabin as some of the others- at a comparable price. read more

We stayed here with family and what a neat experience. The cabin we stayed in was A Tree Top View and what a view!! We saw fireworks from the back porch so on top of the gorgeous mountain view, we also got to see the fireworks!! We didn't really know where it was coming from but our guess is probably Dollywood. Just as you'd expect from a cabin, the walls are thin and you could pretty much here footsteps and the mumbles of peoples' conversations. We stayed in the room on the main floor so the room above I could hear my brother talking and the floor below my nephews playing. A little annoying but you get used to it. The whole reason to get a large cabin to stay with family is to bond, right?! So with this cabin you'll get a great view and that in it of itself deserves 4 stars. The A/C also works pretty good and there is a washer and dryer. The front desk ladies were very nice. However, there are a few cons (in addition to the thin walls): The TVs are outdated (but at least they work - there's a DVD player on the main living area TV) No flat screen. The water pressure is not great in the showers (but that's probably expected from a cabin? I don't know, I don't usually rent cabins). FYI, the hot/cold handles are backwards in 2 of the 3 tubs. The pots and pans, although usable, seem very old. Toilets ran fine but flushed really slow. Lots of dust balls under the beds ... they charge you a cleaning fee so I'd expect the place to be dust-ball free. All the beds creaked when you moved in them. The towels weren't great and I am by no means a towel snob. If I came here again, I'd bring my own. Parking sucks. You have to park one behind the other. Plus, you are on the side of a mountain so it's a little scary to maneuver but that's just personal opinion. And if anybody from Belham's is reading this, the GPS directions you gave me DOES work. YAY! (I think y'all used Google maps). Overall, we had a really fun experience here. You can't beat the view. It's nice to have an SUV 'cuz the road to get up there is steep! read more

My wife and I have stayed in Auntie Belham's cabins for several years and have recommended them to friends, family and coworkers. Over the past couple years we have watched the service and cabins go down hill quickly. Recently we reserved a cabin called Smokey Mountain Way. When we arrived at the cabin it smelled of dog fesses. They relocated us to another cabin called Gotta Get Away. Secluded with mountain views.... NO! Apartment buildings right off the front porch. Our romantic mountain getaway views were worse than what we tried to get away from. So sad and sorry to everyone I recommended! Never again! I wish this sight would let me post pics! read more

We stayed in the Gervinwold Creekside cabin. It was nothin like how the picture was painted to us. I'm not even sure where to begin. The house was not "up to date" at all, the inside looked like a house from a horror movie. The only thing that was updated was the kitchen. Furniture- very old, had stains on the couches and chairs. The couches were sunk in, and the bed was also sunk in. Blankets- the comforter had stains all over it. Shower- was tiny, and the water pressure was weak. Hot tub- wasn't hot, it only got luke warm, and had black trash in the bottom of it. The Porch- had a lot of debris, looked like it hadn't been swept in a while. There was a basement and the house had a garage car door that was locked and the door leading to the basement in the house was locked also and had a sign on it saying please do not disturb like someone was down there. The only plus side was it was right between Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. And on one side of the house was a pretty creek. I would never recommend this cabin to anyone. The money we paid to stay there for 2 nights (the 3rd was free, but we didn't stay) was not worth it. The hotel we stayed in before we got to the cabin was a lot nicer than the whole house. Oh and the TV glitches when you're watching cable. I would not even give it 1 star. read more

We stayed at Kozy Korner for 3 days and 2 nights. Despite all of the not so good reviews and me being little miss picky, I actually enjoyed our stay. The office and cabin were fairly easy to find. Note: do not use GPS because it'll get you lost. I didn't interact with the staff Auntie Belham's but my spouse did say they were friendly. Ok so the cabin was just as they described, a "kozy korner". Perfect for 2 people and a very romantic setting. We had a kitchen area, living room, king size bed and 2 hot tubs....1 inside next to the bed and the other outside on the porch. And a bathroom of course. Everything was clean...and to my standards of clean! That was a shock because I know alot of people half a$$ clean and management doesn't really follow up. The bed was kinda uncomfortable for me. Not sure if it's because I'm used to sleeping on a higher quality bed or if it was just because it sucked or maybe a little bit of both. We didn't use anything in the kitchen besides the fridge to put pops and bottled water in. The bathroom was small but it was acceptable. The shower didn't work or maybe I just didn't know how to use it lol. So I opted for a bath. The TV was small but being on vacation we didn't use it much. We also didn't use the hot tubs. Oh and we didn't get the opportunity to use the buy one get one free passes for attractions which I was kinda bummed about. Free WiFi! Overall it was a nice cabin. Easy to find and literally smack dab in the middle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I wish we could have stayed longer! read more

The cabin was nice, but there were two problems: water dripping in the tub and kitchen sink, and an eighty gallon jet tub with a fifty gallon hot water heater, making it impossible to fill and enjoy. Not what we expected for our wedding/honeymoon. Arrived out our cabin, Bear Creek Haven in Gatlinburg, in a very questionable location. It is located behind what was formally a motel and is now under construction. Loud noises and chain saws all day. Questionable people walking around and staring at us and our belongings as we unloaded. Walk up to the cabin and unlock the door and immediately noticed dead spiders and bugs on the floor as well as a ln abundance of spider/cob webs on the walls & ceiling. Cabin smelled awful. Walk by fire place and the pilot gas light is lit, which led to a massive 8 hr headache from smelling propane. Turned off the line ourselves. Carpets and rugs are DISGUSTING. had to wear shoes in the house to avoid having dirty feet. Dead bugs and spider webs in the shower. Our groomsmen are staying as well, so we pull out the couch cushions for the pull out bed and it is COVERED in mildew!!! Called office because their policy states that we have two hours to let them know that if we are dissatisfied they would relocate us, both parties come to an agreement or issue a refund. They tell us they have nothing else available and FOR THE ENTIRE TWO WEEKS that we are here. Every where else is booked and we have no choice but to stay. They offer to send maintenance for the fire place... that solves one of MANY MANY MANY ISSUES. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! thanks for the wonderful wedding present.... not read more

Folks in the office were nice, polite, and welcoming. Stayed in the Hollywood in the Hills cabin in early March with relatives. Very nice cabin. Beautiful living room area with connecting kitchen. Every room had tvs. Had huge deck with jacuzzi and grill, perfect for a large group. Nice view off the deck. Cool theatre room on lower level, only problem the chairs were a bit worn and one of the tvs was not working. Good location, Kroger and the Parkway 5 minutes away. We enjoyed our stay in Pigeon Forge AGAIN (3rd straight Christmas) but when we left (2 days early), I left a few items behind in a drawer in the bedroom dresser. We contacted AB to ask them to be shipped back to us; at what couldn't possibly be $10?? Their reservations folks just "plain ole" argued against us with "company policy says were not responsible...." language and worse, their cleaning crew never even check the drawer? And now, someone else is in the unit so they cant "disturb them"??? Well, when they find my underwear, gym clothes and tee shirts in the bottom drawer, that ought to please them!!! I spent $3300 for two weeks and the way they handled this was so bad that I will never use them again. read more

We stayed in the Alpine View cabin. It was run down, smelly, trash surrounded the cabin. The driveway is not accessible from both directions and it is located on treacherous mountain roads. Although it was pet friendly, there is no grass anywhere near the cabin and when you walk the dog you are terrified it is going to fall down very steep embankments. Hot tub was also dated and smelly. The laundry room smells like a dead animal is behind the walls. Internet not functional for beginning of our stay. We were out and about for most of our vacation thank God we only had to sleep at this place I paid $2000 for to rent for 5 nights. Would not recommend. Wish I had read the reviews here. Their website has only good reviews and there is no place for me to leave one as a paying guest. Sound fishy? read more

We stayed in the unforgettable cabin for 5 days. The cabin for the most part was enjoyable, but pretty dirty. Old, Mildew shower curtain, stained carpet, dirty tubes and kitchen cabinets. You also have to check in at the office versus being sent a code to access the cabin, which is very inconvenient. The hot tub also had no chlorine, which was a bummer after snowboarding all day and looking forward to a soak. We come twice a year and won't rent here again. read more

The cabin we rented (cove creek lodge) was so clean and so nice! The hot tub was very refreshing to come back too! We love how secluded it was! The cabin was easy to navigate and It was just far enough out of town to not have any city noise. The rooms were a great size and the mattresses were comfy. I would recommend 4wd to get up the hills. We will definitely be back next year! read more

We stayed in Lofty Bear Lodge. It was very clean, and looked brand new. We had 5 children that are 10 and younger. This building is 3 stories high, so the steps are an issue for small children. Each bedroom has a king sized bed and their own bath, which is great. The only thing they could do to improve the cabin is to install room darkening window treatments for the bedrooms. The media room was wonderful, too. The location is good. The Alamo restaurant is at the bottom of the hill, and a good pancake restaurant. This cabin is not within walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg, but is very close. Auntie Belham was nice to work with, but it would be nice if you didn't have to go to their office to check in. All you get there is a key code, and finalize your bill. You should be able to do this without going to their office. Overall, this was a great place to stay. read more

ROACHES....When I went to put our food in the fridge on the side of the fridge was this sticky box that catches roaches. It was full of them. All on top of each other. It was disgusting. We grabbed our things so fast to put them back in the car. My spouse went back in to take pics to show to the office. It didn't matter they didn't give us our money back b/c my spouse didn't get the insurance. She didn't even seem embarrassed about the roaches. She didn't even apologize. She offered another place that looked worse than the one we rented. Also the pictures online are not the same cabins. We were supposed to have a river view that river was deep in a gutter closed in by a gate. There is a sky lift above the condo they put us in and you can hear people screaming and talking as we was walking our luggage up. The parking for your car is in this old dirt road. It was a disaster. They even had an old white refrigerator in there. Don't go off the pictures online. These cabins are not luxurious and the staff wasn't helpful. I'm not posting the pictures of the roaches. They saw the pictures. Find another place to stay. This was the Pigeon Forge location. read more

We just returned from our first time stay with Auntie Belham's. I filled out their survey, giving them four stars, but that is truly based on their service, not the cabin we stayed in. We rented Winter Haven for 4 nights over Christmas. We came in the 23rd, so their office closed early on Christmas Eve and was understandably closed on Christmas Day. That left one more day before we left. So, we come in the first day and everything seems fine. It had been a long drive, so we just wanted to rest. We find that the queen bed advertised is really a queen frame wih full size mattresses. Then we realize that the sofa and loveseat springs are very lumpy and in need of replacing. The let-out bed under the sofa was covered with a mattress cover that looked as though it hadn't been cleaned at all. Hair, trash, and some unidentifiable smears were on that. I reported it the next day, but was told that it couldn't be seen to because I hadn't called earlier in the day. (We had gotten out to get groceries, etc, and I just didn't call early). That was understood because it was Christmas Eve. That night we tried to grill and found that the gas tank valve was broken. This was called in, and we never heard back from that. It was fixed, however, after I called a second time about the kitchen lights blowing. Maintenance got both issues resolved the day after Christmas. The hot tub was not level and the chlorine level seeemd really high, but it was good otherwise. We really enjoyed that. The cabin was clean other than the pull out bed and it was very cozy feeling. We did find underwear near the front steps - who knows how they got there? Also, the lower driveway was rutted out, so if you have a low car, be careful. After looking up more reviews, I am convinced that the owners of this cabin either don't care or just don't read their reviews. They have a great potential that a little TLC could fix. We gave the staff a list of the things we had trouble with, but it seems as though other reviewers have done the same and nothing gets done. That is very sad. The toilets don't flush well, and I would bet they have some plumbing issues that may cause some serioous future problems. Now, for positives, the staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. I can understand that it was the holiday that delayed the response time. We were given plenty of towels for everyone. The kitchen was well-furnished with most basic items. If you plan on cutting anything, bring your own knife, though, as the ones here were dull. Not a problem, just a heads up. The icemaker worked well. That was definitely a plus. Be aware that the bathrooms are tiny, but manageable. The shower curtain didn't have a liner, so taking a shower was a challenge, but hot water was plentiful and again, manageable, I am not sure we will rent through A.B. Again, but we will definitely not stay at this cabin again. I think the owners are just not interested and letting it run down. I just think for the price, it could be much better. read more
