Just got back from a weekend getaway. We stayed at Yoli Bear Hideaway. Very clean! A beautiful cabin fully loaded with a jacuzzi on the backside porch right outside the master bedroom. We really enjoyed the fire pit and having my coffee in the morning on the wrap around porch. Publix about 5 minutes away was a plus-plus. Had a blast. We held our ten (10) year Family reunion at the Little Valley Mountain Resort in late July 2025. We picked this particular Resort because I had stayed there late in 2008 and our Daughter & Her Family had stayed there early in 2020. Both stays were nothing short of AWESOME! So now our whole Family was going to stay & enjoy the Resort. All I can say is that things sure have changed over the years and not for the better. We had quite a few minor things affect us with our stay, but we were willing to overlook them. Like water off a duck's back. Then the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back occurred. We had a big bottle of Jack fall from the refrigerator and hit squarely on the glass top stove, cracking the stove top. I went down to the office and informed them of the accident. I also claimed responsibility for the damage and was prepared to reimburse them for replacing the stove top. The lady at the front desk asked for my name & phone number. She assured me that they would research getting the part replaced and would inform me as to how much I owed them. She also informed me that she thought the stove in that particular unit had recently been replaced in the last few years. DAMN the luck!!! On advice from my Brother we took pictures of the model / serial numbers. Turns out the stove was actually manufactured in May of 2012. So, thirteen (13) years old, not a few years old, as originally thought. Definitely at the end of it's useful life. Along with the age. The LED clock on the control panel had several lights burned out. Soo it was really difficult to tell what time it was. Thank God the clock on the microwave was just above it and functioning correctly. The bottom storage drawer on the stove was also broken. It looked all cattywampus and when I pulled it out to see why. I realized that the left drawer guide was all busted to hell. All indications of a stove near the end of it's useful life. We researched the cost of replacing the stove top. The top would be ~$200.00 - $250.00. A whole new stove would be ~$650.00 - $1,000.00. Depending on where you purchased them. Imagine our surprise when my Mother called me and informed me that the Resort had charged Her credit card for ~$770.00 for a brand-new stove. No phone calls, to Her or me. No communication once so ever. Akin to getting into a car accident, with a thirteen (13) year old, damaged car. You accept the responsibility for the accident and they demand, they want a brand-new car. We are at our wits end. Now all those minor inconveniences came to a head. The Cabin - The water had a very sulfury stench to it. So much so, nobody wanted to use the cabin water. We went through three (3) cases of water, for cooking and personal hygiene. No hair dryer. We had three (3) females in our cabin. All with long hair. They had washed their hair and then the search for a hair dryer began, with no joy. Thru phone calls to other Family members, in other cabins. We found out that they all had hair dryers, but we did not. The knife set in the kitchen was so dull. My Wife had to purchase Her own knife(s) to prepare meals. The spa, what a waste. My Wife went to use it and the foul stench that hit Her when She lifted the cover caused Her to reel back and closed it up as quickly as possible. Also the spa was running pretty much 24-7 and very, very, very LOUD. So much so, that it was very difficult for us to sleep. Our room was right next to it and for some reason every morning at ~0300 it would shut-off for about five (5) minutes and then restart. Waking us up every morning at ~0300. The Grandkids bunk beds had no sheets on them. Everyone is getting ready to retire for the evening and we find ourselves trying to put sheets on bunk beds that are walled in on three (3) sides. Which added another 1/2 hour to our day. Not to mention, not an easy task for us old disabled farts. The hand-held shower in our room did not work. Very hard for a disabled person to take a shower with just a fixed shower head. Then of course the stove issue (Read Above). The Amenities - The miniature golf course was a joke. The greens were covered with rocks, tree debris, & leaves. I weigh ~250 Lbs. and I was afraid I was going to collapse through parts of the elevated course, that were sagging under my weight. The pool had a pale green hue to it the whole time we were there. the sign of an, unhealthy and improbably balanced pool water. We did not want to risk the chance of getting a skin rash, red eye or urinary tract / ear infections. Compared to our stay in 2008. The beautiful mountain views are all but gone. Everything has been allowed to overgrow and take away these magnificent Smoky Mountain views. Instead of the beautiful mountain views, now all you can see are trees, trees and more trees. All said we will NEVER stay here again. Y'all's focus seems to have changed from a customer relationship base to a transactional model. read more

We spent four nights at The Little Valley Mountain Resort in the Snowshoe Lodge cabin in May of 2023! First of all; There is nothing little about this resort. The grounds are expansive. The views are panoramic. The cabins are situated on generous 1 acre lots. This place is Mega Great! Our stay was above and beyond anything we ever imagined. We could not have loved it MORE. We drove up to our cabin on spectacular winding roads surrounded by mother natures most majestic landscapes. The word cabin is a misnomer. This was a large, high ceiling home, designed with warm honey colored wood ceilings and floors with huge windows everywhere! Breathtaking vistas of the glorious Great Smoky Mountains are visible from both inside and outside the cabin. We were thrilled as we walked into this gorgeous appointed cabin with high end leather sofas, dining table, stone fireplace, comfy chairs, sofa pillows, rocking chairs and artwork everywhere. There was a huge hot tub on the main balcony, bubbling away, waiting for us too. Before we moved our luggage in, we sank into the leather couch and gazed out the amazing windows in the cathedral ceiling! Then we stepped outside to the breezy, shaded deck and breathed in the Smoky Mountains air and marveled at the view.  We were in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and we could see all the ridges and mountaintops for miles from our two beautiful decks on both floors. The views just knocked our socks off. My husband's first look out our balcony delighted him as he saw 3 beautiful black bears roaming 40 feet beneath us on the forest floor. People drive many miles and hours just to view these majestic animals in the Smoky Mountain National Park! Don't worry...We never encountered them face to face. The birds-eye view of the Tennessee hills from the Snowshoe Lodge was the best. The kitchen is complete with every thing you would ever need. The furniture is beautiful & perfectly arranged too. The inside of our cabin smelled like a breath of fresh mountain air, not the scent from a can of Glade. Every room was immaculately clean & fresh. The 3 bedrooms and bathrooms were large with generous amounts of space for luggage and clothing. Little Valley Mountain Resort grounds are meticulously kept. It is a secluded jewel with 300 plus acres of grassy knolls, hiking trails, waterfall streams, a beautiful pool and so many amenities I cannot list them all. The entire resort was a feast for our eyes amongst these verdant woodland hills. Little Valley Mountain Resort is nestled away from the crowds & bustle of town so you can enjoy the serenity of the Smoky mountains. It's only a short drive to The Smoky Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I cannot leave out there is a Par 3 golf course, Putt Putt courses, tennis & pickle ball courts, a lodge and quaint chapel in this gem called Little Valley Mountain Resort. I am highly recommending this business! First of all, the land is great. It is so serene and inviting. I was literally just jumping for joy as we were driving through and were able to see all that it has to offer. From the tennis courts, pool, mini-golf, fishing lakes, and fire pits. It's on the side of a mountain so there's plenty of hills and pull plenty of trees in between the cabins to provide with maximum privacy. Our cabin, the Little Bear Lodge, was just spectacular. They put in so many good touches! It was definitely a bear themed cabin and there were all sorts of things all around it pointing to that from things on the wall to the shower curtains. It was so awesome and the hot tub was wonderful. Everything worked just fine and we really had everything we needed. There was a wasp nest above the hot tub but we called that evening and someone came out the next morning and took care of it right away. Definitely top notch service! I really can't recommend this place enough. Definitely another place I would stay next time I come to Seviere County! read more

I checked into Shellie's Chateau on 10/11/25, reserved for 2 nights, and found it to be worse than a $60/night motel, certainly nowhere near the $425/night I paid for it. The hot tub outside, which was the biggest selling point for me, REEKS OF MOLD!!! It is completely unusable. Unacceptable. The basement level smells musty, like a punch in the face, once you are about 3 steps down the staircase. The dishwasher was running when I got there. When the cycle was finished, I opened it and was again punched in the face with the smell of mildew. Really did not want to make me use any dishes there! The water that comes out of every single faucet smells like rotten eggs. I know that can be a thing with ground water sometimes, or it can indicate bacteria in the plumbing. But that should probably be noted in the cabin description, "bring your own water because you will NOT want to drink or cook or bathe with what comes out of the faucets." P.S. that smell can be fixed if the owner cared enough. And even if I was so desperate for a shower that smelling like rotten eggs was worth it, the shower head is not adjustable, and it is positioned to where the spray hits the opposite wall about 3 feet up. So, unless you are super tall, there is no way water would even hit your legs to rinse them off. And the shower curtain is about 2 feet short of hitting the ground, ends about knee height. So be prepared to use the towels to mop up the floor. Also, the mattress is as firm as bricks. I know some people like that, but again, maybe it should be noted in the cabin description. I didn't sleep more than an hour at a time, tossing all night trying to find a comfortable position which proved impossible. So, at 7 am after my first night there, I emailed the office with these complaints. Went into town for the day and got back around 4:30. Asked to speak to the manager. She "hadn't gotten my email yet." Well, I emailed it like 9 hours ago, so....not sure how that's possible. But fine, you haven't seen it yet. She asks what's the problem. "Literally EVERYTHING smells like mold!" She says, "Is that it?" I'm sorry, that's not enough?! She asks, "So what? Do you want to leave?" Well, I don't want to stay in that cabin another night so yeah, I guess I want to leave. She says, "Okay, I can refund you for the 2nd night." But....I'm still paying full price for the night I stayed in a cabin that is like 20% usable? "Yes." And I did not get a refund for the amenity fees for the 2nd day (not sure why not, but I didn't argue since why bother to argue with someone who obviously doesn't care). So, 1 week later I received $360 back of the $850 I paid. Do yourself a favor and stay at a Motel 6 instead. read more

Cabin was very spacious for the 4 bedrooms they fit 8 people very comfortably! Even when it rained we did not feel trapped! My favorite spot was the hot tub on the back deck so I could relax a safe distance from nature! read more

BED BUGS AT CABIN "ABOVE THE FALLS" I'd advise everyone to read the good and bad reviews and make your own personal decision but definitely don't believe the company's responses! All the bad reviews we read were true. My mother who was with us got the cabin for our family vacation and we had other family coming up with us late that weekend. We checked in around 5:30pm got situated and started to enjoy our long weekend. First we saw a cockroach then found other critters crawling around wasn't to worried but it gets worse. Luckily we are locals and live a little of a hour away otherwise we would have been sleeping in our cars because it's was 12 at night. One of my relatives that were with the 6 of us was going to bed around 11pm when she noticed 2 dead and one alive BED BUG in the upstairs bed. Called the on call number told them the issue, we put them in a plastic bad and he questioned us if we were for sure it was a bed bug. NOTE that the relative with us is qualified to confirm what it was do to dealing with cases like these at her job. It has been reported to the Tennessee health department for investigation. The guy on the phone asked us if we wanted to continue to stay the night knowing we found bed bugs with picture proof. Then after he told us there was no other available cabins he could transfer us too, he continued to tell us to go stay at a Marriot hotel. Worst experience ever. Nothing was cleaned except the bathroom everything was dusty, floors were dusty it look like they cleaned it a month prior and it's been sitting ever since. Will never be back hopefully they resolve the issue but after reading responses to other reviews about bed bug and people getting bit they deny it all and say they didn't find anything and continue to explain it's a cabin in the woods and there is random bugs that bite in all of there cabins. Would hate to be an out of town person or someone that flew in for vacation. Wasted our time and ruined our long weekend. So much for everyone taking that's Friday off. read more

We had rented a cabin there when we got there the weather was -8 degrees. We'll they wasn't any power so we left and rescheduled for 9 months later. So my daughter in law is pregnant by this time and very high risk . Bed rest and they scheduled a c- section to be happen soon. Dr said she couldn't be riding that far its a 5 hrs trip. Due to a risk of a miscarriage. So the resort wouldn't let me reschedule again and they kept my 1350.00 that we paid. Really sad they need my money that bad. read more

We had a little mother/daughter getaway this past weekend and it was wonderful! The cabin was clean, and spacious. It does mention 4 bedroom but one bed is a bunk bed in an open area- this suited our party perfect but other groups may prefer more privacy. We had a wheelchair dependent guest and the main floor was well accommodated, although the shower was kinda small for her needs. The hottub was amazing and our kids loved "swimming" each day. The water pressure was low and had a sulfur smell, but it was not too bad. The air hockey table and arcade game did not work, but wifi seemed fine for the kids. All tv's are smart, and we connected to those too. All in All, it was an absolute blast, we will be returning to Little Valley for sure! Contact free check-in is also available! Just OK !!! This cabin Morning Mist is in need of some serious updating. We were able to make do since it was a short visit and thankfully our friends were staying at another cabin. It never would have cut it for 4 people, barely accommodated 2. The kitchen is a Mirco Kitchen. I've actually seen bigger ones in hotels and RV's no joke. The staff is very friendly and the cabin was very peaceful. Definitely a plus. We were happy about the hot tub and were thankful for the relief it gave our aching backs after a long drive but this too was only fair as the the pulsating jet wasn't working, but again very much appreciated it. The living room furniture is very comfortable and the wood burning fireplace was wonderful and added to the cozy environment and the internet actually worked. But that's about all the positives I could muster up and I really tried. Now the negatives which are more than the positives sadly. There is not one closet or dresser to organize your clothes. They have coat racks with hangers in each bedroom- seriously !!!! what !!!!! I was floored. I guess you're supposed to live out your suitcase ??? For almost 1200.00 for 3 nights I would at least expect a proper place to keep my clothes. We are really easygoing and I don't think that is much to ask for. They really cheaped out on many aspects of this cabin and charge way too much for what they offer. The downstairs carpet is not only old but also dirty, smelly and torn. Who has shag carpet anymore anyway - come on !!! The toilet is gross looking with rust stains and has constant water around the bottom. The utensils all needed rewashing prior to use. This place needs a major renovation. The pictures are very deceiving with their mini appliances. I guess next time I will need to ask if the appliances are a standard size and if there are any clothes closets or dressers lol. Who would think this would not be part of a home - go figure !!! We went during October to see the foliage and it was amazing. The log cabin we rented was for my family and I (6 people total) but it could honestly fit more! Each bed could fit 3 adults max. There were 3 rooms. One of which had a bunk bed and a couch. It looked like an area that was appropriate for kids to stay in. The hot tub was clean, there were toiletries provided (toilet paper, soap, some detergent, etc.). The kitchen had utensils, plates, pots, and pans. The only thing we ever needed to buy was our own food which we did in a Publix about 10-15 mins away. Gatlinburg is about 45-50 mins out. The service was great because my dad actually left something in the cabin and the cabin owner helped find it for us and mailed it right to our billing address! We paid for the mailing fee of course but it was nice of them to find it for us. I'm also glad the place is pet friendly because our little dog could stay with us and enjoy the nature. This was our first time staying in a log cabin and would definitely go to this place again. It was simple and quiet. read more

Let me say up front that we are pet owners and love traveling with our pets. So we choose pet friendly places to stay. I am very tolerant of the types of furniture and rugs used to furnish such places. Little Valley Mountain Resort provides you with the rules and regulations you and your pet must follow. They also let you know if they find pet hair on the bed or couches you will be responsible for an additional cleaning charge up to $250. You pay an up front charge of $69 per pet. My problem is this: the area rug in this unit smells terrible of pet urine and we already have pet hairs on the bed covers and couch. Our pets are trained to use pee pads or go outside. We also have a small leak around the bottom our toilet. The kitchen is clean and sufficient. The bedroom and bathroom lack adequate shelving and storage. read more

We loved our cabin at this resort. We stayed in Simply Irresistible and it was the most wheelchair accessible lodging we had ever had. The cabin was clean and well appointed. We appreciated the Roku stick as we could access our Netflix and have more viewing options while there. Loved the privacy we had at our cabin even though we had neighbors. The bathroom and closet could use some more hooks/hangers/etc but we managed. There are no wheelchair accessible trails and only one pond has a ramp part of the way around it. So don't expect much in outdoor activiites while at this resort. Staff was kind and helpful. read more

We stayed in Smoky Mountain Majesty. Everything was fine for our stay, except the beds were the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on. The kitchen was tiny, but was fine for a quick 3 night stay. The living areas were nice. There was very little room to put your stuff in the bathrooms. No counter space. The kids loved the place and we enjoyed it too... just wish we could have slept better. read more

This cabin allowed dogs, but they are very strict on allowing your dogs on the bed and furniture. As soon as we walked in, we noticed that the cabin smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking cabin and the floors, rugs, kitchen & microwave were filthy and dusty. They didn't supply any extra towels, linens or cleaning products. They had a washer and dryer that works well which we found by accident. The cabin was very beautiful, spacious and very quiet. If you stay here I would defiantly make sure it's clean before you go. The area is very commercialized with lots of traffic which you cannot avoid going to and from the cabin. Please be aware of the tap water in the cabin. We drank bottled water, but gave our dogs the tap water and made coffee with the tap water not knowing that it smelled foul and tasted funny. One of my dogs actually got a rash on his lips from drinking the water. Please make sure to bring bottled water for all of your guest. read more

We stayed in the Windsong cabin, which is a little more secluded than the other cabins but you can still hear your neighbors talking from the porches. Lots of stairs up to the cabin so carrying a lot of luggage and bags is painful. Cabin was neat and appeared to be clean but there was quite a bit of dust on the ceiling fans. Bedroom is upstairs inside the cabin just in case it isn't clear in the pics. The water had a sulfur odor to it every time we used any faucets. We were told this was due to the cabin being on well water but there shouldn't be sulfur in the well. Fireplace is gas powered and on a one-hour timer so you have to constantly reset it and it doesn't give off much heat anyway. We set the thermostat to 72 at night and woke up freezing cold to the temperature of the cabin being 62 so there's obviously some issue with the heating/air system. On our first day, we found a couple of live cockroaches in the kitchen, which is disturbing of course. Also seems like the foundation of the cabin has shifted to the left as balls on the pool table take a slant to the left and the water level in the hot tub on the porch is higher on the left side as well. We didn't quite have enough towels and washcloths for our stay and after calling the front desk to ask for more, we were told they didn't have enough and we needed to wash them. You only get two full size trash bags so you may have want to bring some of your own. No chalk available for pool sticks, which isn't a deal breaker but still sucks. Overall, it wasn't horrendous but we won't be back. read more

Awesome resort!! I thought it was funny to see so many people complain about seeing bugs.... you're literally staying in the middle of a forest!! If you want a cookie cutter room then there are plenty of hotels around. My family stayed in Mountain Destiny and it was perfect. quiet, best view in the world, and cute comfy rooms. My family even saw a bear cub and baby turkeys from our front porch!! Pros: -Great cabins -Outdoor pool (couldn't get my kids to leave) -Good outdoor trails -Mini golf -Great location from Smoky Mountain National Park, Dollywood, Gatlinburg, etc. -nice staff -hot tub overlooking the mountains (need I say more?) Cons: -cleaning could have been slightly better for my high standards but nothing to complain about. -yes you may encounter some bugs but that's not the hotels fault, it's called nature people. read more

Stayed 5 nights at this cabin rental. When we checked in the sheets on the bunk beds the kids were gonna sleep on hadn't been changed from the last people who stayed there. We found several items the last family left around the cabin. It seems they didn't clean much. We got clean sheets and went on with our vacation. Stayed 5 days and the night before we checked out my in law found bugs in her bed so we started googling and of course they looked just like bed bugs! I freaked out! There was 5 adults and 2 kids. We didn't sleep well that last night. We washed, dried, and trash bagged everything we owned. The front desk told my other in law they were wood roaches they looked nothing like wood roaches. We sent the bugs off to a lab that confirmed they were bed bugs. So if your gonna stay here check your cabin! They lied several times including when they told us they'd give a percentage back of our money for the hassle. Only thing we got was a 1 night stay at there resort... STAY ANYWHERE ELSE (there are many beautiful cabin rentals around the Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg area). My family & I stayed in these cabins over Christmas and I wanted to see the response of the business to the 24 hour power outage (8 pm Christmas Eve - 8 pm Christmas) before posting my review. I wanted to give them an opportunity to do the right thing, management can not control power outages but they can control their response to it. The roads were not salted which made travel up and down the mountain impossible, the company did not have back up generators, and nobody stopped in to check in on us to see if there was anything we needed. The resort also runs on well water, so with the power also went the water. Our cabin got down to 47 degrees, we could not leave the resort because they did not plow the roads or even salt them until our final day on the resort. When you spend close to 3K for a 4 day stay in cabins you would think 24 hours in unlivable conditions (no power or water) the company may have a little bit better of a response than a $200 certificate for your next stay. Talk about adding insult to injury, they want you to come back and spend even more money with them after being treated like this. I sincerely hope this review helps families to be a little more selective when choosing where to stay when visiting the beautiful mountains in Tennessee. read more

After reviewing the wonderful cabins and surroundings we decided to make reservations for the 4 bedroom cabin. Our biggest problems have been finding truly handicapped accessible and pet friendly. Well they are falsely advertising pet friendly when all the pages regarding the cabins say pet friendly the only page I found to clarify was the pet friendly page that stated "Cats (and other pets) are not allowed in cabins, only well behaved dogs!". If you want ONLY dogs then say DOG FRIENDLY! Why mislead customers? Their response via phone was allergies. My son-in-law is allergic to cats and has stayed with us and my sister with no problem. With ADEQUATE cleaning and bare floors, allergies should not be a problem. After reading the reviews I can understand that they can't maintain a clean and allergy free environment. Thankfully we did not book a cabin. read more

My husband and I booked a cabin this summer for October (this week). We booked it for very specific reasons and were so excited. While happening to be on the Little Valley Mountain Resort Cabin webpage, showing a friend our cabin, I noticed that it said "This cabin is no longer available" next to the one we booked. I called the company and asked about it and they proceeded to tell me that our cabin had been sold and that they reassigned us to another cabin of their choice, without saying a word to us about it, which was problem number one. The cabin THEY assigned us to without informing us had none of the characteristics that we wanted, and in fact had several that we specifically did NOT want for our once a year hard earned vacation. Not only that, but they were going to let us arrive in October and figure this out way too late. We told them that we just wanted to cancel our reservation and get our money back. Their response was to assign us to another cabin of their choice. When we said no thanks, an extremely rude female informed us that they would be keeping half of our money because we decided to cancel, even though THEY breached our reservation contract. They said "we will discuss it at our monthly meeting next month and get back with you". Guess who never got back with us. We disputed the charge with our credit card company and we did get our full refund. We ended up with a much nicer air bnb in a much better location and for the same price. We will NEVER consider using Little Valley Mountain Resort Cabin Rentals again and will spread the word like wildfire of what they tried to do. read more

We recently spent 4 nights in Windsong, the cabin was much nicer than the photos conveyed. The views were beautiful and the privacy was unbelievable! In the summer, with full foliage you literally can not see any other cabins! The cabin was just the right size for two. The front porch was nice but the best views are from the side deck. The water does have a sulfur odor. We kept plenty of bottled water on hand, problem solved. The kitchen was equipped nicely. The stove is a little powerhouse, mind your oven temps. Set it a bit lower than you actually need. Overall the cabin was great. Windsong is a pet friendly cabin and as such there are additional fees, for deep cleaning. I have no problem with this. It would behoove management to follow up more closely with their housekeeping crew as there were long dog hairs on the carpet around the couch legs, upon our arrival. Fortunately there was a vacuum. The resort grounds were well kept, offering lots to do and wonderful for walking our dogs. I would consider staying again. read more

Stayed in sundown mountain ridge cabin for four nights. It was clean and quiet. We loved the hot tub on the deck and sitting on the deck drinking coffee. The kitchen was nicely equipped. We chose to bring some food and make a few meals. Our kids were delighted to fish and play putt putt. They didn't catch a single fish, but they had fun trying. It was far enough from town to be quiet, but close enough to get to the attractions, most in less than 15 minutes. We had two cars and the parking space is a little small, but we were able to make it work. Overall, we enjoyed the place and would stay there again. read more

Stayed here for 4 days and it was great. The front desk lady was very nice and helpful. Our cabin was Shooting Stars and it was great. The kitchen was very stocked with everything we needed for cooking. There were great views from all the balconies, especially the bedroom upstairs. I would recommend this place and will be using them again myself. read more

DO NOT RENT "Gone Fishing" it's not what they advertise! The other cabins were beautiful! I was sooo jealous of the cabins that my family rented they were decorated so nice and clean as to where the cabin I chose to stay in (Gone Fishing) had a pipe burst over the winter they said. Well it was like they threw it together for us to stay there. Nothing was what showed in the brochure. No big bathtub with jets instead a huge shower with the curtains thrown up first shower we had water on the floor. No bathroom door or curtain on window. The beautiful wood beds were replaced with cheap looking frames. No rugs on the floors which were dirty had to have them clean them also the hot tub. Hot water has a real bad sulfur smell that never went away, most places with well water will have it some but this was bad! No outdoor grill or air hockey game as advertised. After letting the hot tub heat up after they cleaned it the water was so bad looked like a bucket of dirt was dumped into it. What curtains they did have on the Windows didn't match and some too big. The staff was great but was not able to give me an amount they would refund until the last day and I had to wait around before our 13 hour ride home to talk again to find what they would do. As of today I don't see the credit on my card we left Sunday and it is now Tuesday so I will be calling again when they open. This all could have been avoided if they would have informed us of what happened and ask us to move to another cabin before there was none available to move to as the case when we got there. read more

I have emailed my comments and feedback about my recent stay there and they will not respond. The cabin was dirty and had many issues. It is much older - I have stayed at other cabins there several times. The cabin we had this time was "Lodge Between the Streams". It is sad - not the owner's fault - think management is simply not keeping the place up. I sent them over 20 photos of our stay to ask them to help but they will not respond. I will not stay there again. Very hazardous stuff like outlets that were broken and missing half, etc. read more

Our family stayed in the Stardust Mountain cabin the weekend of 8/18/14. The resort is in a beautiful, out-of-the-way area that is conveniently located close to Pigeon Forge and all the goings on there. However, it is poorly managed. We've always used VRBO in the past to find quality vacation homes, the best of which are managed by owners that really care about their guests. But not this time, unfortunately. This place is managed by, well, property managers. They tend to care far more about their bottom line than their guests. When we arrived we found an open can of soda in the living room, floors that had not been vacuumed and the bed in the master bedroom upstairs only had sheets on it and the pillows were in a heap on a bench in the room. There were also about a dozen wasps buzzing around in that master bathroom, all of which my husband killed only to have them replaced the next day by six more. We also later killed a VERY large spider running across the kitchen floor as well as two scorpions (one in the bathroom sink and the other at the bottom of the stairs). The huge centipede on the kitchen floor was caught and released into the yard outside. They claim Orkin sprays there twice a month. I informed them they need to fire Orkin and hire someone who can actually kill the bugs and keep them out of the cabin. The fireplace mantle was covered in dust, dried up dead bugs and bug poop. When my daughter moved a sofa to get a toy that had rolled under it she saw mouse poop. The decks and porches outside were absolutely filthy. My grandson's feet were black with dirt within a couple minutes of walking around on them. Appear to have never been washed down since the house was built. One of the chairs had dried bird poop on the arm. There are absolutely no cleaning supplies provided whatsoever except for a tiny bottle of dish washing liquid and a few dishwasher tablets. So if you spill cereal or coffee grounds on the floor you'll have to pick it up by hand because there is no broom or dustpan, much less a vacuum. If you spill something liquid, there is no mop. This large cabin with plenty of closets (but only a very few hangers) did not contain a full size ironing board anywhere. Just a tiny travel ironing board that's only fit for ironing small children's clothes. And the iron was a cheap-as-they-come, busted up, iron that leaked water when I used it. At least two of the four bathrooms had no shelves or anyplace convenient to store one's toiletries. No hair dryer in any of the bathrooms. My youngest daughter informed me that she ended up sleeping on the floor because the mattress in her room was so uncomfortable! Saturday morning while we all enjoyed coffee on the covered porch we were treated to the sounds of weed eaters and other noisy grounds keeping equipment. Really? The kitchen was not at all well equipped like other vacation homes we've stayed in. It's fine if you want to bring home take-out but don't expect to do much cooking here. Like I said, the area is beautiful, as are the cabins. The kids did enjoy the hot tub and the decor was nice, too. But it was so dirty and so ill-equipped that I felt they had absolutely no business charging a ridiculous $1200 for a weekend stay. Absolutely outrageous and a total rip-off! I will stick with VRBO in the future and will never rent a vacation home managed by realtors or property managers ever again. And I certainly won't ever stay in this resort again! read more

Little Valley Mountain is a beautiful, secluded resort in the mountains yet it's close to shopping and other amenities in the area. The resort itself is nice and the staff is very accommodating. I've stayed in their "Simply Irresistable" cabin many times and would highly recommend it for its location, cleanliness, handicapped accessibility, being pet friendly, and its overall comfort. Most recently my vacation plans were made askew by a natural disaster in my original destination so at the last minute I decided to book a few nights in Tennessee. I called Little Valley Mountain Resort the day I would be arriving looking for a pet friendly cabin because where I go, my shih-tzu goes. The only pet friendly cabin available was, "Misbeehavin". Upon arrival, the pros of the cabin include: clean (but dated), secluded (steep drive to get to it), cute, adequate kitchen supplies, charcoal grill on deck, and excellent wi-fi. The cons: the green algae stains in the hot tub will deter you from using it, the sofa is completely uncomfortable with the cushions by the arm rests extending upward for a constant feeling that you're falling over, the bed is just as uncomfortable as the sofa, much smaller than it appears online, when you flush the toilet it makes noises that sound like a space shuttle ready for take-off, the shower spits water at you (sounds like an extensive amount of air in the lines or something), and they desperately need to put a step in front of the shower/jacuzzi tub to help those of us with short legs to get in and out of. Overall, I would return to Little Valley Mountain Resort but I will not return to Misbeehavin'. read more
