Just not good. We ordered a sandwich and the 6pc wings. The sandwich was ok. Just a sandwich, nothing special. The wings were "2 for 1" as they were uncut sections. If you are using garmin or google to guide you to this spot. The GPS is a block off, or I was out of it. Pizza had flavor but was extremely thin, wished for a regular crust. Enjoyed the honey spice buffalo wings and ranch dressing. I didnt know the pizza thickness before ordering, which I forgot to ask. But all in all, it was worth the stop. read more

In my opinion, stone fired pizza is as good as it gets. Douglas recently replaced a Quiznos with the locally owned Fireside Pizza Shop. They have a stone oven and high quality ingredients. This establishment was opened by the same folks that brought you the locally owned Ranchero's Fresh Grill, and I dare say the quality here is even better than at Ranchero's. Dough (wheat and white) is prepared in house and pizzas and sandwiches are made with fresh dough when you order. I ordered the Turkey Pesto "sandwich" which is more like a calzone, in that it is made with fresh dough, assembled, and quick fired for a toasty hot treat. Locals need to make this part of their lunch rotation, and any travelers should eat at this local establishment for an excellent, hand made, specialty pizza. What a treat! read more

I don't like to complain much or leave reviews unless in cases like this. First I love in CT and I've lived in NY also and I know what pizza is. That said I found this place on here with a couple 5 star reviews and said let me try it being a truck driver rarely do you get to eat anything descent. Well I had the white out pizza here and it was absolutely horrible, too salty and way too greasy, I mean I could have easily use it on my 5th wheel on my truck and have extra left over. Don't waste your time I. That one, can't speak about anything else that's all I had, but never again! read more

I have to say this... For a small town in the country of southern georgia... This is one of my all time favorite places. The pizza is OUTSTANDING! and the best part is, you can customize them. I orderes a peperoni pizza with gorganzola cheese. At first sight it looks strange because of the gorganzola... But it was so good! They also have sandwiches... This place is definately better than some of the big names. You can get a while pizza with a discount from harveys for $5.00 and a drink and its cooked right there in front of you and prepared in front of you. If you are visiting looking for something, please visit this spot... You will not be sorry. Service was great, and the people are nice. Now I like fire stone pizza, and I've ate it at several different places. They are the only place that has too much char on the bottom. Its like soot on the bottom of my pizza and it gets all over me. Ive seen a little on other places pizza, but it's ridiculous here and its happened every time. read more

Great pizza! Good sauce and ingredients were very fresh! I just wish that they made a large (16") pizza.

My kids and I really enjoy Fireside Pizza. The stone fire pizza is different and refreshing to the typical other pizza selections in Douglas. I do think the pricing is a tad high and think they would get a lot more business if they included a drink with the current prices or lower the prices on the pizzas by about a dollar. We go about once a month and will continue to go but would go more if the prices were just a tad more affordable. read more

I live locally and often enjoyed the pizza and sandwiches at Fireside pizza. However, I think the owner is especially greedy. One evening I ordered a pizza and water to drink. I looked at my receipt and noticed I was charges 70 cents (plus tax)for the water. I questioned the server and was told that I had to pay for the paper cup for the water. While I used to patronize his restaurant once a week, I rarely go in now and only when I am with others who have wanted to dine there. If I am dining alone or if I am asked where I would like to dine, it will NEVER be Fireside. read more
