We came in on Saturday for a late lunch, there were 4 of us. One lady friend got a Johnnys special sub which was good, my other lady friend got a slice of pizza and a salad and her food was good. He and I got Italian food, he got spaghetti and meatballs (Bronx Bomber) and a meatball sub, the meatballs have absolutely no seasoning, the spaghetti is water spaghetti with no seasoning, the lasagna that I got only had flavor because it had ricotta cheese in it. We also ordered the garlic knots which were great and the tomato and mozzarella appetizer which was fabulous. The dinners were just not good. We brought his home so I could add Raos sauce and seasonings to the dinner he had. We paid $80 for the two meals, 2 drinks and 3 appetizers. The waitress was great, timely and very attentive. We did let her know about the food as well in which she apologized. Restaurant is very clean and nice but due to the food I can't say we will return. read more

It's usually always pretty chill and the staff is nice, the food is decent to pretty darn yummy. Locations good. Restaurant is clean and inviting with a good downtown Douglas atmosphere. Small bar area allows for small number of ppl to belly up and enjoy some choices of their draft beers and wines. They have at least 4 or 5 bar tables. Seating outside the bar is the usually table and chairs and some booths and they have a covered outside patio with several picnic tables, for those who want to sit and watch a train come by. read more

Let's start with the knots... garlic knots are amazing. Had the blackberry BBQ wings -sauce was delicious wings were small and a bit overcooked. Pizza was good could have been cooked a bit longer the cheese was barely melted no browning at all. Our server seemed as if she was in a hurry most of the time yet not super busy. I loved Johnny's while in Atlanta! But the one here leaves a lot to be desired. The staff is young and rude and look down their nose at you for simply inquiring about your order. I've been ignored while standing at the front trying to place an order. Even when ordering ahead, I have had to wait long periods of time just to get my food. I don't believe In being rude...just taking my money and my business else where, so that is what I did. read more

In the past, I've truly enjoyed Johnny's pizza. However the past three attempts for this establishment have proven to change my mind considerably. First incident came in the form of a lazy chef who chose not to honor a special request that had been assured would be correct. Second attempt was due to waitresses not wanting to seat a guest and myself, as they were closing in a short while. Tonight capped it all! I wanted to call in an order for a pizza. We had lunch at this restaurant today, and what a huge disappointment! I ordered a lunch special of a slice of white pizza and a salad. I specifically requested that they hold the onions on my salad. The server returned a few moments later and said that the lunch special pizza was a max of 2 toppings. Not a problem...the menu may have stated such, so I didn't mind picking something different. Instead, I asked for mushrooms and banana peppers on my pizza. Shortly thereafter, the server returned bearing a salad. She shrugged her shoulders as she placed it in front of me and said, "Dey put the onions on the salad so..." Then she turned around and walked off. Naturally, I'm dumbfounded. At no point did she offer to get another salad or have the cooks remove the onions. I was confused because if something isn't right, typically a restaurant will attempt to fix the issue. She did not attempt to fix anything. A few moments later, the server brought out my pizza slice with PEPPERONI and banana peppers, so I pointed it out and told her that I don't eat pepperoni. I added that I could take the onions off the salad, but I would like another slice of pizza without pepperoni. As the rest of my party ate their mediocre meals, I sat there watching. The server brought my "corrected" slice, do ya wanna know what they did?! They had simply picked the pepperonis off the pizza and added mushrooms! I could still see the remnants of pepperoni that had adhered to the sauce! I was appalled! I tried a bite, hoping I couldn't taste the pepperoni, however that was only wishful thinking because the flavor was overwhelming. Plus the crust was hard because it had been reheated. The only positive about this place is the decor has a neat industrial vibe. I like the design, but it's too loud to carry on a conversation. This was my first and last visit to Johnny's. read more

I live in Douglas and finally decided to take the family to Johnny's Pizza tonight. It is expensive, but it is really good. We had the garlic parmigian wings, the garlic knots with cheese and three kinds of pizza and everything was superb. The only thing is it is higher in price than any other pizza alternative in Douglas but I've ate at them all and this definitely had the best flavor and quality hands down. The place stays busy and now I can see why. I will return and can recommend Johnny's without a second thought if you want good Pizza and Wings. read more

This little gem in Douglas is a wonderful alternative to the "fast food" restaurants that surround the other end of town. Nestled in the heart of downtown, this place has a glass porch on the side to enjoy a bright day while downing a few slices and pints. Their pizza dough is made fresh daily and they take pride in making sure that each bite is satisfactory. We ordered a large pepperoni, sausage and green pepper pizza. The sausage had a perfect seasoning of fennel and was crumbled to perfection. The pizza was not greasy and make in true NY pizza fashion. I will definitely be back to this place when I stop over in Douglas. read more

Stopped in for a quick dinner on a Saturday night in July. It was busy but we were seated right away in a booth in the glass enclosed addition. Our orders were taken right away. First, we ordered drinks. I got a local lager beer and my wife got a glass of Cabernet. Both were very good. The beer was nice and cold. I kept my food order simple, being somewhat unsure of the quality of the food here. I'm from NY, and grew up on the authentic NY pizza. We ordered garlic knots, a Stromboli and a chicken parm hero. All were very good! I ate all the garlic knots and finished my hero. The marinara sauce was as good as any I've had in the pizza shops in NYC. My wife ate most of the Stromboli, which was rather large and she couldn't finish it. If I'm ever back in town, I will definitely visit again. read more

Not bad NYC style foldable pizza while down in GA! I frequent the Douglas, GA area when picking up or dropping off freight at PCC and with very few places in this little town it is nice to have a NY style pizza joint nearby! They can expect to see me each trip down here and it's not exactly my favorite but, it is truly worth the 14.00+tax for a 16" Cheese pizza. They also have a nice patio area to eat. read more

2 strike outs in one week. Strike One was a call-in order. I ordered the pizza and got to the wings......"what are your dry rubs?" The waitress starts explaining to me what a dry rub is........ "I KNOW what a dry rub is. I am asking WHICH of your flavors are dry rub." She says "Well, I don't know." I said, "Um, okay. Can you ask?" She says, "Well I think the lemon pepper." I say to her, "That's all??" Her reply is "Well maybe the garlic ones." At this point I told her to FORGET it all (about 80 dollars worth of food) and hang up. First of all, how do you NOT know the menu, and secondly why wouldn't you ASK someone?? Second strike that same week we go IN to have dinner. We are finally seated and sit there.......no one ever comes......no one says hello.....no one says "give us a minute". We finally got up and walked out! The guy that seated us looked at us as we are going out the door, and we told him we never saw a waitress and he apologized as we left. Yes they were busy but we saw 3 waitresses hanging out and talking in the back. The food has always been great here. The new building is beautiful. The service not so much because they are mainly teenagers, and I think most of them just do not care. What good is great food with such POOR service? The buffalo chicken dip was phenomenal! I went in one night being new to the area and order the buffalo chicken dip for an appetizer and two slices of pizza. That was wayyyy too much food for one person so I learned pizza was good--the couple of bites I took but the dip was the star for me! I'll be back!! read more

Food was good but horrible service on takeout. Order was wrong even though it was repeated back to me on the phone correctly. People were standing in line to pay of food for up to 10 minutes while others were waiting for carry out, and all, were crowed around the door way blocking those trying to come in and go out of the building. The cashier had to go to the back 3 times trying to get my complete order. Ordered food at 11:25 and was told that it would be 30 minutes . Walked out at 12:40 and order was still wrong. I just ate the salad that they gave me since I only had 15 minutes left for my lunch break. Food was not bagged up and drink holders or eating utensils were not provided. I have eaten inside the restaurant before and had a good experience. I will never order takeout here again read more
