One of 2 par 3's on the back 9.

Had the chance to play this course while visiting Charlotte for a couple days. The greens were still recovering from annual maintenance a few weeks prior but overall the course was scenic and fun to play.

Thought it was too pricey for what was served. Was there for lunch had chicken salad and had fresher salad elsewhere. Not going back

I love this place, it's super good for fitness and the pool is amazing! This is my favorite place…read moreto do exercise plus not only the gym and the pool they have games like tennis etc and it's so fun, my favorite for sundays

As you read this...Keep the fact that this facility is the most expensive gym membership…read moreanywhere...and especially Charlotte. Also this is meant to provide constructive feedback in hopes that management/area director and leadership at Lifetime read this- finally these are constant grievances of mine, others on this feed and I have been a member for more than 3 years. Additionally, I've experienced the brand new top shelf Lifetime in Cary NC...world of difference in service, equipment (of course new) , AND true spa like feel in the men's locker room...down to lockers have 'bumpers' on them so when they are shut they are quiet. 1. NOISE! Men's spa area is so loud I have to wear airbuds to escape the constant yammering of others in the steam and sauna. 2. Tired Equipment and in consistent amenities- I joined for the quality of equipment and mainly access to steam and dry sauna- Equipment is worn out...bikes, cable machines, benches, accessories for gym equipment in general need replacement. Machines sit dormant waiting for repair often...and Steam room is constantly inconsistent and temperatures in dry sauna are below recommended temps. Did I also mention how LOUD it is in the 'Quiet Area.' 3. Towel service is 1 STAR....and unacceptable. Last night and many days/nights the shelves in the locker area are bare with NO TOWELS....I literally had to walk the locker room to find a clean towel to dry off with. 4. Family Friendly. YES! It should be...but now that school/college is on summer break the gym experience is fraught with kids being kids.. from locker room to gym floors...absolute chaos... 5. Showers- The entire shower area is a mess a lot of the time, but especially last night....walk into a shower and someone left towels inside stall....No attendants cleaning up or restocking towels...counters full of water, etc. NOT A PREMIUM EXPERIENCE! I truly enjoy investing in my health and consider Lifetime a splurge in my budget....BUT I continually leave shaking my head at the level of service...quality...and inconsistency....even the 'simple things' from a staff person, like Have a good night...hope you had a nice workout. It would be nice to have persons on the floor assisting 'newbies' with workout tips or offering assistance in using the equipment.

Not required to re/rack your weights here. So that sucks when you need the rack that someone didn't clean up!

Nice lake front, hence the name, general meeting and activity center for Sun City Carolina Lakes,…read moreseven miles south of the NC border on Hwy 521. The office and front desk people are superb. They are "up" on all the activities coming up and through them you can purchase tickets for them. Very helpful and friendly to residents and visitors alike. Great folks. There is an indoor pool, kept at a nice 84F, so no cold shock. Large lounge area, computers for internet access, a ball room that can be segmented into three areas, a full pottery studio with six wheels and two kilns, beautiful outdoor porch and meeting rooms. The three story gym includes an indoor eighth mile track, weight machines, treadmills and ellipticals and lots of free weights. At one end of the ball room is a full kitchen for demos and the "Cooking Fingers" club uses it for their meetings and guest chefs. There is also a large outdoor pool open from May through September. When the outdoor pool is operating, children (yes, there are lots of grandchildren visiting residents) are restricted from the indoor pool. In the winter months, the indoor pool is open for child use and weekend days from 1pm - 4pm. There are six tennis courts, two pickle ball courts, two horseshoe pits and indoor there is a coffee and snack cafe open from early morning until just after lunch. In all, the Lake House is the hub of activities for Sun City. An additional amenity center, as it is correctly called, is planned for completion around 2015, which will include outdoor courts and a pool.

It's been four years since my last review & the 'first' review for this retailer…read more I've been playing a lot of golf the last 5 years since I retired and it takes some $ to replenish balls, tees, towels, shoes, belts etc, etc and it ain't cheap! You go here for the variety and selection of gear. If you check their website before driving in you'll find they have a good one with up to date info and prices. All the walking and I've lost about 35 pounds the last two years so I needed some new belts. They have a brand called Laze which I like. Lot's of variety, decent prices and the seem to last. I also like that you can 'join their frequent purchase' program and save some cash. They really don't put much of their clothing on sale during the season but that's to be expected. You will find they will be stocking the latest and greatest in most all the golf gear you're looking for, especially golf balls, you will pay a bit more because the won't be available at a discount on Amazon yet. I like to get there "EARLY' because it gets very crowded on the weekends. It was well staffed at check-out and I was able to get in/out real quick without a wait in line. Everyone was nice and helpful. As I suspected in my first post, the other Golf gear store in the same shopping center went out of business.

I found two very nice polo shirts for half off. Also, they offered a Veteran's discount on top of the sale price!! Staff was very friendly.
