The day we were there they had 4 varieties to choose from and they had an expert to help you understand the difference between them. We were with a group of 12 and they hayride and hot chocolate made it a fun day for the youngest members, while the selection and prices made it a great day for everyone else! On the recommendation of a friend, we went to Holly Berry. It was a fair drive for us, about 30 miles each way. But it was well worth it. Thanksgiving weekend, we made the trip and found a great selection of trees at reasonable prices. "Reasonable" is of course relative but it was not more than I expected to pay for a nice fraser fir, anyway. The tree stayed fresh through the entire holiday season. We didn't even notice a lot of "branch droop" which is common with these trees, so we concluded it was really freshly cut. Friendly and helpful staff. We will go back in 2022, without hesitation.

They have a machine that shakes all the dead pines out and they wrap it and tie it on top of your vehicle for transport.

They also have saws, so you don't have to bring your own. My son loved the wagon ride to the field... he is obsessed with tractors. Once you cut your tree, they will load it up on to the wagon and take you back to the cottage where they will shake it clean and bale it up. They will even load it and secure it onto your car. I tried to give them a tip, but they don't accept tips. The people were very courteous. This is the start to a long family tradition. The tree was $45, but the memories will be priceless.

I like having room to obsess about different planter combinations without feeling rushed. The Gregson family has such a wonderful set up of fields to pick from, pony's and goats for the kids and a country farm store with hot homemade apple cider to sip on. While I wanted to cut down my tree the better ones for our family were pre-cut. They had about four-five different tree type of varying heights. I ended up w an 8 ft tree which was almost double the amount you pay at Lowe's but the experience was worth it and when we got our tree home we didn't have to wait for the branches to fall. Parking was plentiful and we went the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. They also serve hot chocolate, food, and hot apple cider and have good for kids. We will do this again.
