The most beautiful trees! We come here every year as a sort of a family tradition. The selection of…read moretrees is incredible! Every type, shape and size. And the prices can't be beat! Our granddaughter loves picking it out and helping to cut it down. They even shake it, wrap it and load it for you. Everyone that works there are so friendly. They have such a warm friendly make you feel like family atmosphere. It's definitely THE place to get your tree! Also, they have a "gift" shop that offers beautiful fresh wreaths in different sizes. You can get one already decorated or plain to diy. They also have amazing cider and apple butter along with other tree necessities. Make sure you wear comfy shoes!

Went out for the experience of looking for and cutting down a fresh Christmas tree, and was rather…read moredisappointed. The property is huge, and we did find a decent tree, but the selection of Fraser Firs was very meager. Most of what they had growing in the field were scraggly or very small. Not what you would expect, for the No. 1 most popular Christmas tree variety in the country. Also, the Fraser's have very sharp needles, not like the ones you get pre-cut from most big box stores. I'm talking sharp, as in, they hurt when you touch them. So, not sure what's going on there. They had plenty of Douglas Firs, and other less popular types. The other negative is that this farm is located far away from any commerical areas, and they had NO bathroom facilities. No port-a-jons, nothing. Not good. It's a family business, so the employees live on the property, and can use there own homes. But customers are on their own. :( On the positive side, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and they had plenty of pre-cut Fraser Firs, which looked very nice, and lots of wreaths, and other Christmas decorations. So, if you are local, and not seeking the u-choose/u-cut experience, this is a good option.

We've been getting our tree here for 10 years and they've all been magnificent. One tip - tell the…read moreboys what you're looking for and let them show you what they have. They've always picked out a winner!

Every year for more years than I can now recall, it's been our annual tradition to purchase our…read moretree from the Warrenton Boy Scouts tree lot, which is set up every year the day after Thanksgiving in the parking lot right next to Rankin's Hardware (the same shopping center that houses PetCo & Staples, etc.). They also have a smaller satellite location at Clevenger's Corner (Route 211 and Route 229, Amissville, VA 20106), right next to the Shell Station), although this location doesn't have the same height range or variety as the main Warrenton location. Absolutely beautiful, full, fresh-cut trees of several different varieties ranging in size from around 5 feet up to around 13 feet. We've never failed to find a fabulous specimen to grace our cathedral-ceilinged living room (usually between 8-9 feet or so). To start with, you don't even have to soil your lily-white hands with sap or any tree flotsam/jetsam, as a Scout cheerfully walks around with you to pull out & twirl any & all trees you want to examine. Last Sunday we purchased a gorgeous 8-1/2 footer for $65 (cash or check only, so come prepared). We were offered to have some of the lower branches & the trunk end trimmed on the lot, but we prefer to do this ourselves right before setup at home (which you should do as well - helps the tree suck up more water if you trim that trunk right before you stick it in the tree stand which you immediately fill with warm water). Then our tree was net-bagged & several helpful Scouts helped load it into the back of our SUV (well, it "almost" fit - lol!!). And the few times in the past when we've had a tree that simply wouldn't fit inside the vehicle, many helping hands assisted in carefully tying it to the roof - even in bone-chilling cold. Bottom line: Everyone always smiling, friendly, & willing to help - even in the most unpleasant of weather; reasonable prices for this day & age; quality, fresh, trees in several varieties & heights, & helping out a worthy cause. I can't even remember the last time we've bought a Xmas tree anywhere else.
