We love that they pick the 3rd because it opens an opportunity to see another show on the 4th, thanks for that! After last years celebration, we were very saddened to hear that 2023 was going to be their last year putting this event on. I guess the public outcry was so great that they decided Red Hot & Boom must go on, and we are so glad it did. In my opinion, it's the best fireworks display in the central Florida region, I can say that because I've been to all the big events several times over the course of my 24 years living in the area. Who else has two identical displays going off simultaneously, with and extended finale, one on the west side and the other on the east side of Cranes Roost Park. Nobody else does this but The City of Altamonte Springs, so Thank You for continuing this tradition!!! As always, there is plenty of food, beer, and merchant vendors on site. There was at least 65 Porto John's available with hand sanitizer stations. There was five bands who kept us entertained all the way up to the moment before the fireworks were launched. Great job City of Altamonte Springs and a big Thank You to all of the sponsors for keeping this show going, us little people truly appreciate it!

There is tons of space to sit all around Cranes Roost Park. Bring your chairs and blankets. I'd say bring those chairs so you are most comfortable. The sponsors really did a good job including the local radio station bringing some great entertainment and pop singers. It was very fun filled. The fireworks were in so many directions and they were huge and eye popping and had some energetic music with it. This was a blast and really made for a perfect independence celebration. This will definitely be a must do every year now. After seeing these fireworks, other fireworks are very difficult to beat.

This particular Fireworks display is shown during MIckey's Very Merry Christmas Party which is a separately ticketed event. You will need a ticket to the Party to be in the Park to see the fireworks. However, they are visible from outside the Park, from The Contemporary Resort, and from The Grand Floridian Resort. So unlike everything else associated with the Party, it's possible to watch this display without having a ticket. You just have to know where to be. =) For this show, I prefer not to be too close to the Castle because of all the side launchers they use. The sky really fills up, and you won't get a wide view if you are right in front of the Castle, so it's better to be farther down Main Street U.S.A. closer to The Emporium and The Confectionery. The only negative is you won't get a good view of Tinkerbell in flight, but who cares b/c she flies every other night of the year. =) The difference in the regular nightly Wishes show is the holiday themed music that is played during the show, all the red and green fireworks that fill the sky, different projections onto the castle such as snowflakes, and again, the extra side launchers that are going off. Don't miss this one. It's ah-mazing! =)

Best viewing area is on Main St. or in/around the hub. I normally weave my way through the post parade crowd(best view is by the entrance btw, so you get the castle in your shots!) and get a spot right where Main St ends so that I'm in the center for optimal photos. I saw them last year for the first time and was in awe. I do prefer the Halloween fireworks offered during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, mainly due to the soundtrack, but these fireworks are just as grand and breathtaking and overwhelming in the best way possible. The finale will leave you utterly speechless. Make sure to buy your Christmas party tickets so you don't miss out!

Initially, I thought that it would be a bust due to the rain, however, the rain only lasted about 20-30 minutes and then it was back to sunshine time. Once the sun was shining again, the streets began to quickly fill up with people out to enjoy the Holiday. The various vendors were lined up along Avalon Lake Drive and Avalon Park E. Blvd. The Avalon Town Park hosted live music in the amphitheater. In Founder's Square there was a split between a DJ and live music along with the excitement of the Gyro-x-treme ride. There was a decent number of food trucks and food stands to select from. Many of the prices ranged from $3-12. Also, there were plenty of samples and flyers being handed out. I tried a pineapple-mango smoothie, beef skirt steak with seasoned fried (Lahteeno), a cheese steak empanada, kettle corn and cake (Sweeter Than The Rest). All of it was pretty good, although if I ventured out for Lahteeno again, I would try something different. About 5 minutes to 9 pm. a short show of fireworks started at Avalon Lake and then promptly at 9 pm the main fireworks show began in the field (on Avalon Park W Blvd between Tanja King Blvd and Avalon Lake Dr). The show lasted about 20 minutes and ended with a great sparkling finale. Afterwards, all who were either not ready to go home or didn't want to be involved in the out-rushing traffic jam continued on with vendors that decided not to close up at 9 pm or headed over the the Mulberry Street Bar and Grill. Overall, it was a pretty cool experience and I would attend again.

Designed by The Walt Disney Company in the 1990s, the park serves as Celebration's main recreational hub. Amenities include a swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, and playgrounds. Many of these facilities require a resident key and are reserved for Celebration residents who pay community fees. Visitors, however, are welcome to enjoy the rocking chairs, picnic tables, umbrellas, and the scenic wooden boardwalk that circles the lake. Keep an eye out for the park's resident alligator, which is occasionally spotted along the shoreline. Just steps away, you'll find downtown Celebration's charming shops and a variety of restaurants. The park also hosts numerous festivals and community events throughout the year, including Independence Day celebrations, Founders Day, the Embrace of Celebration Music Festival, Battle of the Food Trucks, Once Upon a Magic Market, the Celebration Farmers Market, holiday parades, and seasonal runs. It also serves as the starting point for town-wide 5K races and the staging area for the community's Veterans Day Parade. During my visit, I enjoyed strolling along the lakeside boardwalk and taking in the peaceful scenery. Unfortunately, the lawn had been recently fertilized with what smelled like horse manure, and the odor was overwhelming. The strong smell made it impossible to linger and I cut my visit short, which was disappointing given the park's otherwise beautiful setting.
