We were a little nervous since it was our first time at a gun range, but Seth made everything so easy and welcoming from the moment we walked in. He took the time to explain everything, helped us get set up properly, and made sure we felt comfortable and confident. The range did not support zeroing my AR. I needed to test new .223 ammo but the range did not have a shelf wide enough to accommodate my rest so I made a long drive for nothing. The staff were courteous and the facility was clean and new but the shelf where you place your rifle to shoot from was too narrow (about 18"?) to accommodate my Scorpion rest. Of course, you can use sand bags or blocks to create a makeshift rest but I didn't come prepared for that. I didn't expect such a narrow shelf. I'll be going to an outdoor range to zero my AR. Upon entering, my son and I were met kindly and with a warm greeting. The building and inside were contemporarily modeled and everything was clean, organized, and had a well space layout. They had 3 bays that were exposed for viewing behind windows. Well stocked from ammo to rentals. I took advantage of the membership sale, which gave me unlimited lanes, free gun rentals, free gun cleaning, and discounts on ammo / purchases. My son and I had a wonderful time and saved a lot as we had a rental, ammo, and targets. Highly recommend this place. read more

I am not a member here but have spent $1000s in the past couple years. Today, my brother in law and I showed up about the same time (15 minutes before opening to establish our spot in line and check in.) We were the 4th & 5th people in line. We each have multiple fire arms and planned on shooting two boxes of ammo each for the purpose of testing out some new firearms so that proper sight adjustments could be made. We were told that because we were "a group" we had to be on the same lane!! Are you kidding me??? Apparently if you know each other and talk to each other while in line, you are automatically "a group" and cannot get your own lane. Nonetheless, the associate also said that once the initial rush of people were checked in, if there was a lane available, we could use it. After the initial group of patrons were checked in, and seeing that there was still lanes not in use. My brother-in-law moved his gear to that lane. He fired two rounds before someone came back and insisted that we had to share a single lane. After trying to reason with this individual for a few minutes, we decided that only one of is would shoot today. I spent about 25 minutes in the lane before I packed up and was finished. As I walked out to the show room to meet my brother in law, there was a group of two individuals talking to the same associate who insisted that it is their "policy" that groups could not have their own lane. We then witnessed these two individuals get their own lane, right next to each other. It seemed very obvious to me that the two individuals were friends with the associate who had just explained to us the "company policy." If you're going to say it's company policy then it seems you shouldn't allow your associates to be discretionary on when or if they enforce the "company policy." The associate did attempt to answer our questions when we asked about the logic but when he had no answers, he would simply state that it is "the policy that he was trained to follow." Interesting. I guess when Orlando Gun Club trains associates on the company policies, they must also tell their associates that they can be discretionary and only follow those policies that they feel like following that day. My business alone is certainly not going to make or break this place, but I can guarantee you that neither myself, my brother-in-law, family members, friends, or visitors to my home, will ever set foot in this place again. The "owner" Ray has clearly never operated a business before. They are a terrible selection for any type of gun service you can think of. They have a FFL license but make up there own processing times. 6 days after delivery and 8 after the date of purchase are you allowed to pick up the guns this is in no way told you before you sign up, after you sign up, or before the service is processed. They told me to F*čk off over the phone when I made it apparent how wrong they were. I have a recording of him cursing at me but no way of showing that on here! They could not prove that they informed me of their own processing time. Ray was so emotional that he couldn't contain himself from cutting me off, yelling and eventually threatening me with sending the gun away. No one threatens me so I told him do it, I rather wait a year as long as it means these people do not see a penny from me. The value isn't even there for the awful shooting range they provide. This is the worst gun range/gun store I've been to. Majority of the customer service is awkward conversation from the employees. It made me feel uncomfortable and unwanted as a customer. The separate gun range is a safety issue and a hassle. You shouldn't have separate ranges rated for pistols/rifles, you should have specific lanes rated for both Rifles/pistols. That way the customer does not have to shoot her/his gun, pack it back up, walk all the way to the next range just to shoot a pistol calibered weapon. Plus the gun inventory sucks. read more

First time coming here with some family who are members of this club. The place is very clean and organized, though there is very limited stock on ammo, guns, and accessories. The staff are quick and short when talking with them. There are 10 pistol lanes and 5 rifle lanes for customers. Overall not a bad place but it does get warm in the ranges. read more

I've been a member of the Orlando Gun Club, Ocoee location, for over a year... and love the place! Both the firearm beginner's and concealed weapons course were detailed and professional. All the complaints I've read about the lack of "air conditioning" I find petty. In addition, all the complaints about supposed "racism," sounds like a joke. As a minority myself, the staff here have been courteous and they have a Haitian and Vietnamese-American as employees who are a pleasure to talk with. Most importantly... This gun range isn't full of Fudds... Overbearing range safety officers who stand over your shoulder just to nit-pick and find any reason to kick you out. As long as you practice the 4 rules of firearm safety, you will be left alone to enjoy your range time. If you want a range full of Fudds, there's Shooters World. read more

It was a gun range and improvements can be made. Number 1 -- if you're going to promote Air conditioning then actually add air conditioning in the firing range not just in the show room. It was uncomfortable in the firing range and it is pretty hard to shoot when you are hot and your eyes need to be wiped. Number 2 -- stepping all over your cartridges once you're done is not a good thing. Maybe have an employee come and randomly sweep to keep the room free of shell casings so you don't trip or twist and ankle, just saying. Not sure if I will return due to the heat in the firing range. read more

My father and i purchased a yearly couples membership online so we can both shoot. Went there for our first shooting session, and had nothing but issues with one of their employees constantly coming into the range nit picking at their rules. We were being constantly hounded that our unloaded, safetied, weapons had to remain in the booth, while putting it away in our bags... our bags were literally right behind us, so all we did was take a step back to put them away. Then, i was also reminded that "you can only fire one round per second", while i was shooting my definitely unmoded little semi-auto .22LR.... We were the only shooters in the rifle range the whole time we were there, and when we took our hand guns out to shoot down that same range, they took issue to it because they wanted us to switch over to the hand gun range and wait in line to shoot. Honestly, we thought it was ok, because we were the only ones there. Mind you, we aren't beginners by any means, both prior military servicemembers and operator. We know how to handle our weapons professionally and correctly. We went for a father/son outting to have a good time, and that was not it. Then, when going to check out at the counter after our shooting session, the same employee started to give us issues about us having a couples membership, versus individual memberships. When we told him we had the couples membership, he looked at us like if we were crazy. We explained we were father and son, but then he seemed to not believe that with the other look he gave us, and the only reason i could think that would be, is because my dad is black and im not. Then he started question whether our addresses were the same or not. After several minutes of going back and forth, we decided we were going to immediately cancel that membership after leaving that day. Not going to deal with that headache again. I was needing to scratch the itch while on vacation with my wife. I occasionally suffer from withdrawals if not able to put a hundred rounds down range every week or two. I found these gents from a duck duck go search and Uber'd my way over. From the first phone call to arriving and seeing my options as far as rentals I found this business to be very accommodating as well as decidedly un Fudd like they were knowledgeable and current on trends and information.I was lucky to be able to rent a suppressed Mk18 which answered a question experientially and I also played with a SCAR17s that actually caused more questions like where and when can I get one In closing this review I just want to say thanks for a fun afternoon read more

Been here last weekend with my son for his first time shooting a hand gun at a range. Personnel was courteous, place was clean, felt safe and well organized. Trainer seemed knowledgeable and put passion in his work, which my son liked. Unfortunately , due to shortage of ammo, one cannot practice shooting as they don't have anything for sale. read more

The Orlando Gun Club is awesome!! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They are open to the public and offer rates that are fair enough for the occasional visitor. Needless to say membership has its perks and advantages. One being the members lounge. There are a few different memberships to meet each persons need. This facility is fairly new. It's air conditioned and spacious. They sell ammo and rent many different types of firearms. This means pistols, rifles, shotguns and others. The ammo is fairly priced but you can buy it online for a lower price. You can also take one of the many classes offered. This is pretty important if you are not completely comfortable with your firearm or want to learn about a new one. They offer a concealed weapons class but keep in mind that it is not for beginners. It's a pretty good idea to be very familiar with your hand gun before carrying it in public. read more

Really solid range. Period. I have now been to several other ranges and I really enjoyed my experience at the Orlando Gun Club. The place is modern, clean and has a good vibe. I was looking for a convenient, safe, not intimidating place I could shoot at frequently - they delivered. In fact I became a member, which provides tremendous value if you shoot more than 1x a month - which I do. Chris, Charlie and Thomas are the 3 folks I interact with, as my range visits are always on the weekends. I am relatively new to pistols and have taken one of their intro classes and found it useful. I have been to the range 10 times and each time my experience has been solid. I soon want to try a few different guns and with my membership it's a "free" rental - no extra cost :) read more

I've never stepped foot in a shooting range in my life until tonight, when my girlfriends and I decided to sign up for the ladies intro to shooting class. From the moment we stepped in the door we all felt really welcome despite our nerves. The check in process was smooth and the class began promptly. Kristen, our instructor, was so nice and really took the time to make sure everyone was comfortable and understood all of the steps before bringing us in to the range. Once we entered the range she stood by each of us to watch and help when needed. I really enjoyed my time at the range and will definitely be back! read more

TALK ABOUT BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE!!! I bought 4 guns from them. The last one.. used. I asked the gentleman if it worked well. He said yes. No problems with it. It won't get through a magazine without jamming... so 2 days later I go to try and return it, get something else and just pay the difference... nope.. they will give me 35% of the price back!!?!?!?! Are you kidding me?? You sell me a faulty weapon and then have the nerve to tell me you won't replace it?? What is that?? Bad business. It seemed as if I was bothering the employees by being there. Was never greeted when entering or signing in. Went with my son who is 21, and was given only one range asked for a second range seeing we were paying for it. Shooting was fun ( of course) was told at one point can only shoot at target in my lane but there was no rule about it posted. You pay for range time after shooting, I thought my son paid and he thought I paid. Driving home realized we hadn't paid so we turned around. They never said thanks for coming back or even just a thank you in general. No conversation or info/upselling about becoming members. From the moment we entered the young gal behind the counter (who did not wait on us) provided an extremely rude comment to my neighbor. I was floored but said nothing thinking she was young and very inexperienced in customer service. We finished up and went out to pay and again, the gal behind the counter was rude and provided HORRIBLE service... in addition, she way overcharged us!!! My neighbor is cx'ing his membership and we are taking our business elsewhere. No need to be in a place with such horrible customer service when they have a competitor right up the rode which has a 5-star review!!! read more

Here are the FACTS: I went in on a whim and signed up for a year membership. OGC is close to my house, has ample parking, and offers a clean, professional, air conditioned environment for shooters. They have a wide selection of firearms available to rent and some full-auto stuff if you're so inclined. They provide eye/ear protection if you're without. Restrooms are neat and clean. They offer FFL services and CCW classes. The shooting lanes utilize a digital keypad for target distance, a great feature. Can I mention again the air conditioning? They require you purchase their targets...not a big deal, just save yourself a headache and don't bring any. The ammo prices suck, so bring your own and make sure it isn't steel-core. I think OGC gets high marks for being a clean, tight ship for an indoor range. That said, if I were to take my g/f out for a day of shooting, I'd probably head to Shoot Straight. SS seems more customer service oriented, they offer more merchandise and accessories, have some female staff members for the ladies. Just my opinion. 8 months later... I really love the place and only shoot here. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Although the ammo is a little steep, it is at every range. Cons: Its a little pricey compared to other ranges especially with ammo restrictions. Pros: Every staff member I have spoken to there has been a professional and a gentleman. They have always been willing to help newbies and pros alike. Range is extremely clean as are all the facilities and displays at this location. The safety officers are on top of everything, the moment I saw someone do something unsafe a team member was already onsite correcting the behavior. Very disappointed. My husband, myself & our 3 teenage sons came to shoot together today. It's "small business Saturday" and this is the business we chose to support. Although we each had our own guns to shoot, they would only allow us to use 1 lane and only allow 4 shooters. They said I had to sit out and rotate in. Meanwhile, there are 5 empty lanes on 1 side & 1 empty lane on another side. The manager half heartedly apologized and said that 3 of them are reserved for members only and they are too busy today to allow us 2 lanes. We were told that maybe had we given them 72 hours' notice they may have been able to accommodate our group??? (My husband said that at the most recent trip a couple months ago they made my husband and three boys shoot from only ONE lane and they were much less BUSY!!!!!) Seriously, look at the pic, the place is literally less than 50% occupied and we were told that 3 of the empty lanes were reserved for members. For the record the three lanes on hold plus the other empty 3 + lanes have remained empty. My current situation is that I'm sitting in the lobby alone while my family shoots without me. I can see the many empty lanes while I sit. Apparently, had I walked in alone and pretended not to be part of their party, they would have allowed me a to use one of the empty lanes. Others have walked in since we've been here and received lanes! (BTW, My husband and I both have our Concealed Carry permits and it seems super irresponsible to have FOUR people in one lane tripping over each other; So Caveat Emptor: If you have 3 or 4 people in your party be prepared to be shoehorned into one lane!) To make matters worse, the manager's shift has ended while we're here and he is now setting up to shoot at one of the empty lanes with himself AND a co-worker!!! I feel very silly for previously buying gift certificates from this business. (I gave them as Easter gifts to my husband & sons this year.) I was actually considering purchasing a membership for my husband for Christmas. Not only will that not happen, my family will not be returning. I'm leaving tonight without shooting at all because I wanted my sons to enjoy their time. Turns out that they didn't because they were piled in one lane feeling guilty about leaving me in the lobby. My husband chose not to shoot either because they were being so rude. Four people per lane seems crazy especially if there is more than one firearm to shoot. He basically reloaded the boys ammo for them sitting on the ground and tried not to ruin their time. 5 people walk in ready to pay and shoot and they managed to end up with 3 people paying & shooting. There were FIVE people behind the counter to "greet" us and there were not enough customers there to support the cumulative employees' payroll. This doesn't sound like a good long term business plan to me. It is the equivalent of going into a restaurant with five people and being told that they only have a four-top available but your 5th person in your party can rotate in at your leisure; Then the manager sits at an empty table with a co-worker and proceeds to stuff his face! Clearly the owners are asleep at the wheel and have allowed the inmates to run the asylum. Don't take our word for it, out of the 18 reviews 8 are negative; You've been warned! Stay away from this place. Their employees are rude, misinformed, and arrogant. My husband completed the paperwork necessary to purchase a gun. He has done this hundreds of times. The form is exactly the same. The sales clerk insisted on being paid before submitting the form. Some stores ask for this, some don't. My husband didn't care. He paid. The forms were submitted but the salesman, not an accurate term for him, confronted my husband and insisted his place of birth and name were wrong and would not be accepted by Tallahassee. This would be the same name and place of birth that he puts on every form because IT IS HIS NAME AND PLACE OF BIRTH! He said Tallahassee would not accept his middle name or Brooklyn, NY as a place of birth. As he argued my husband noticed it had been approved. When he pointed it out to the kid he claimed he could deny the sale and keep the money. Sadly, my husband had to involve the owner who explained the kid was new and "stupid" but offered no apology. He just laughed it off. This is not the first bad interaction we have had with their staff. It will be the last. There are too many good, honest businesses in town to deal with this level of incompetence and rude behavior. Try going to OrlandoFFL in Ocoee off Silver Star near the post office. Those guys are professional, hard working young men. They go out of their way to help. There is no excuse for the experience we endured. NONE! Until today I've never had the opportunity to shoot a gun. Since it was my first time, my friends and I signed up for the Ladies Intro to Shooting class. The classroom portion of the training was very informative and gave us all the confidence we needed to actually enter the range. Our instructor Katie was SO nice! You could really tell she was passionate about teaching people how to shoot safely. Once we entered the range she spent time with us each individually to make sure we were comfortable. The entire experience made me feel so confident in what I was doing and much more comfortable shooting a gun. I would 100% recommend this class to anyone looking for an introductory class. read more
