I loved my bank and was with them for over 15 years. Unfortunately I did not look at the next town over to discover this PNC and I changed banks to one close to my new home. One year later, I needed to research and get information from a previous bank statement that was 18 months old. When I tried to do it on-line, I could not access my records. So I got on line and found that there was this PNC in Edwardsville. I made the short drive and explained my situation to one of the customer service reps. He treated me as if I were still a customer and helped my find the information I needed. It took us a good 30-40 minutes. I may not still be a customer of PNC, but this branch gave excellent customer service. If you live in the area of this branch, I highly recommend them. I wish I lived closer.

Parking is open and right in front of the bank. The have an ATM built in for after-hours transactions. Last time I was in, the teller was 'bank facing' the bills she was counting out to me and I lamented the fact that this isn't done anywhere anymore it seems, even tellers spit out the money all william nilliam. Makes me crazy! She tells me their ATM should deliver bills the correct way, I will have to pay attention next time I use it.

The banks are all clean and well stocked with working pens (something I never find at my other bank, Bank of America), and I have never had big issues. BIG PLUS - the ATM gives out cash in $5 increments. I love this. Minus one star because, well, they don't have ATMs everywhere. That is sort of a bummer.

I regret my decision to open an account with First Community more than any other business-related decision I can think of, with the possible exception of that time I signed up for Vodafone internet service while in Germany. Their services have made my life miserable. I am constantly in a position where I go to use my card and suddenly it doesn't work. Often the reason will be that a couple of subscriptions removed their monthly ten-dollar fee, and that was flagged as suspicious. It then falls on me to investigate and fix everything. After recently purchasing a plane ticket to Vietnam as well as travel insurance, I filled out a lengthy visa application and tried to pay the amount of $50. From where I live in Missouri. Not $500, and not inside of Vietnam. $50. From the visa website of the Vietnamese government. Naturally, the payment was rejected by the bank, just like my monthly subscriptions are, just like my digital purchases of movies and books are. They act like it's not a big deal, but it is an enormous imposition. I plan on terminating my relationship with this outfit as soon as I can. In the case of my visa, after that one rejection, the website kept auto-rejecting my card. I wasted close to five hours and ultimately had to hire a visa agent to take care of it for me. Now I am set to travel to Asia, and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that First Community will leave me stranded there. Not once, but repeatedly. I am sure of it. There will be a time in the near future when I desperately need my money, they will deny me access, and I will have no way of getting in touch with them. My only hope is that I will not be sleeping under a bridge with the rats. This financial institution is the absolute worst. Maybe if you're a kid who needs a place to deposit your money from your part-time grocery store job, or you need a mortgage for a small home in Ellisville and never plan to set foot outside of Missouri. But as soon as I am able, I am going to a for-profit commercial bank rather than this credit union, because experience has taught me that it is preferable to this level of incompetence.

I had accounts at a big national bank for years and when we moved to Stl that bank no longer had branches here and did nothing to help us out when we needed OUR money for closing on a house. We would have to drive 4 hours to the nearest branch to get a certified check. We looked into transferring our accounts to a new bank and found these guys through a recommendation from a family friend. Timing was tight and they were terrific, making sure everything was done right and on time. One of the bankers also actually called personally just to make sure we received our debit cards. Totally unheard of at big banks. Highly recommend.
