I have known Ben for 4-5 years. After he helped me the first time, I never looked for another locksmith. Ben helped me several times - with unlocking my car, with re-keying the locks, changing locks or installing new locks in my house. Whenever I call him with my problems he always finds the time slot in his very busy schedule. If he says "will be at your place in 1 hr", but something prevents him from being in time, he calls, notifies about the delay, even if he would be late only for 10-15 minutes. Usually he comes exactly at the scheduled time. His punctuality is excellent; he values his customers' time and his own time. His knowledge and professional skills are perfect, he works very fast and the quality of the work is beyond excellent. It is just pleasure to watch him working - so skillful and efficient he is; it even seems that he has more than 2 hands; hard to believe that one person can do so much within so short time interval. At the same time he answers his phone calls, schedules appointments, talks with the customer he is working for right now. His sense of humor is delightful. While Ben is working in my house, I feel as if a close friend is visiting me - so warm-hearted and friendly he always is. Ben is very precise in his quotes (and never overcharges). He momentarily explains all alternative solutions of the problem, usually includes some ideas you never heard about, and you make your choice. Ben was fantastic! We could no longer insert our key in the deadbolt in our front door. Ben not only fixed that but also re-keyed the second deadbolt which we'd not be using and realigned the plates for both deadbolts. He also re-keyed the 2nd deadbolt to have the same key as the first and created fresh 1st generation key for the deadbolt so we could make copies without any issues. He did all this in about 15 min. We all want every customer experience to be this great. I called First Bay Locksmith on a Friday afternoon after 5 o'clock, expecting to get voicemail, but Ben picked up the phone. We needed to re-key our home, and Ben came over the next morning, sending a courtesy text message letting me know he was on his way, and then showing up precisely on time. Ben was fabulous, on time and fast. He answered the phone personally on the second ring and came out as soon as I was available. Our front door lock was completely broken and he had it out and replaced with a great new keypad lock in a little over an hour. Great service! I called him this morning to replace a mailbox lock for my bosses rental property. He quoted me the price and met me shortly after.
