The trap range is nice, sounds like they have a trap shoot every Tuesday night that is open to the public. The 25 yard range is covered which keeps you out of the sun. They have a nice grill & picnic area where burgers and hot dogs were for sale for cash. Probably not there during normal operation but still pretty cool. Definitely worth a look if you need a shooting range with some friendly people this might be the club for you.

I booked myself and my wife on the HQL Course with Annapolis Defense & Security. My wife has very little handgun experience. I served for 22 years as a Sapper, former Commando and Military Diver with extensive handgun experience, including concealed carry; I wondered what I was going to learn. The course was outstanding, Joe is a phenomenally experienced Instructor; I learned a lot and even though a small part of the course, Joe helped me iron out a few habits! Joe easily catered to the different experience levels in the class and no-one was lost throughout the course, as the content was explained and different experience levels were catered for. I will definitely be using ADS again, so my wife and I can progress our handgun experience in a safe and healthy environment, which I trust. I recommend ADS to anyone, irrespective of experience level; they have my strongest recommendation.

It is a beautiful well equipped and well maintained range in the Annapolis area…read more Unfortunately, I am going to have to dock it a star due to the tight restrictions that they have on the types of guns that you can shoot and at what time of day. It makes my head hurt when trying to figure out when and what I can shoot every time I go there! Some history: AAF&G is under a court order for noise control placed upon them from the surrounding properties. The resulting court order is making it very difficult for this range to be used, unless you happen to be available at 1000-1300 which most of us are not. The neighboring homes are doing everything they can to shut down this range. I don't understand why you would move to a home that is so close to a range and THEN complain about the sound of gun shots....but apparently there are some stupid people out there...and once again, the courts have ruled in favor of said stupid people. You must be a member of the range of this range to use it. If you are not a member, then you need to be sponsored into the range by a current member and go through an extensive application and orientation process. This is a great range, and it is unfortunate that they have neighbors that don't appreciate what a great facility it is.

They have a lot of members from all walks of life, from hunters to law enforcement, casual target shooters to dedicated competitors. Despite recent pressures from Maryland legislation, Berwyn's membership remains strong and may even be growing larger as one of the few venues people can use for their hobby or career. The range itself is set in the woods of rural Bowie. Admittedly, it looks more like a Boy Scouts camp than a major high-tech range, but that's part of its charm. They have three "no sky" ranges, meaning there are baffles set to block any stray bullets that do not head down the range. A 50 foot, a 50 yard, and a 100 yard allow people to use whatever they need for their chosen firearms. As an outdoor range, you can expect to deal with weather and climate as well as insect life. I always check the forecast before deciding to head out there. As a private range, this is not accessible to the general public. To gain access you must send an e-mail asking about membership. Within a month, you will know if you are approved to join (I've never known anyone to be turned down). After that, you have access to the range, but must remember to follow all range rules, including proper safety, avoiding damage to the range, and cleaning up after yourself. If you're into firearms, for anything from hunting to marksmanship, and looking for a good range in the Prince George's and Arundel area, then I recommend looking into this place.
