I was pleased when 702 was able to have someone come later in the afternoon, especially since I needed to get this done before having my very first houseguests in a couple days. But the interaction with Nick after showing him the showerhead in question was one of the strangest that I have ever had with a contractor in almost 25 years of homeownership. Nick: Well, I'll have to charge you for this. Me: (confused as I didn't call a charity) Uh yeah, I would expect that you would. Nick: That will be 550. Me: ...dollars? Nick: Just kidding, $150. It did end up being $150 thankfully but I am not sure if it was a poor sense of humor or an attempt to fleece me; either way I didn't care for it, despite the work being done quickly!

They do have polite people and do decent work but I did not have a good experience with their repair business. An annual inspection turned up a couple of small problems - low refrigerant in a system and a nearly failed condenser fan in another. No argument with that conclusion so I said go ahead with fixes. Got the invoice and should have paid more attention - a price gouge of epic proportions. Here's what I sent them that got rejected by their system: PS - registered professional engineer who should have paid more attention. 'I was not here when this work was finished, and I have no issue at all with the technician and work performed. He was professional. I agreed to all of the work. But I regret now not doing additional homework on the cost. A one pound 410a add should cost more like $100 at the high end all in. Easy to find on google or Yelp), given you can get a 25 lb Jug in the range of $250. And yes, there is labor and overhead in that , but for for a 30 minute job $325 seems excessive. I also was able to source the replacement fan motor with an identical Lennox model# from a number of sources- from around $200. Again, that doesn't include labor. So if I'm generous, you got $300 in parts, add 20% for miscellaneous. And yes, I get that there is 'Bob's guarantee' and you have overhead, but an 1800+ bill for less than two labor hours of work, make it 3 with travel time and even at 150 per hour - and maybe 450 in parts and material -the total markup at 2x is to me excessive. Plus your billing is deficient in the level of detail so it's even hard to understand how you could add it up to that much. My wife paid the bill of course, but with these prices even though the service is good I won't be using or recommending Bobs for repairs in the future. I'll do my homework.' PS - last postscript. On May…read more5th, I discovered water on my garage floor that had been coming from one of the Kinetico tanks that was installed in my home in 2021. That same day Patrick from their local office came out with 2 other colleagues and turned the red colored valves off to the horizontal position so that I continued to receive water into my home but that it just was no longer filtered. I have since been trying to schedule someone locally to come back out for filtration service but have been told twice that a service manager would call me back but to date...NO CALL.
