The design incorporated changes that really improved the look and "feel" of the access, and improved drainage away from my house. No Sprinkler Service for you!…read more I see their trucks around town all the time, so I decided to give Sam's a try. We had a minor sprinkler repair situation. My husband decided to work from home on the day, three days after we made the appointment. They scheduled for 8am. At 9am, the guy texted to say he was running late. He showed up at 10:15 and took a look. Very quickly said some PVC is broken. It would be $500 to repair and take 3-4 hours. We agreed (at first) and he said someone would start at 11:30. After considering, $500 seemed high. They would have to dig an 18" by 18" hole (which my unskilled husband later did in an hour) and replace or glue a $25 pipe. We asked about the timing and price, offering $300. He said he can't do that and had already booked another job anyhow. I suspect Sam's might be more responsive and professional for bigger jobs. It's too bad. We plan to redo the landscaping, hardscaping, and replace the sidewalks and patio this year. Sam's seemed like a good outfit for the bigger job, so we tried this test run. Because of this subpar experience, we'll be hiring someone else.

I tried to schedule with him multiple times, but I just get crickets. NO communication. Meanwhile, the mowers keep tearing up my lawn. I ended up doing a lot of work myself and clearing, leveling, seeding, watering, etc to get any patches filled in. I then inform Sang about that and tell him I've put up stakes and line portioning off the yard for grass seeding. Nothing. No communication. I tell him again before the next couple of mowing sessions. Crickets, again. The grass is finally starting to grow and the mowers come. WTF... they mow OVER my stakes, lines, etc, tear up a bunch of spots I had planted new grass so that I have to do it all over again. VERY unprofessional. I informed Sang and he admitted it was their fault, but still, I wanted to see if he could fix what they had done to my grass, especially since I put a bunch of money and work into the yard at this point. He offered NO resolution other than to pay for something rather than work with me. It always felt like I was just annoying him and wasting his time. Eventually he gave me a refund for my contract, but I am out so much more money with my yard that his team really messed up. Just so you know, if you aren't spending a bunch of money with Sam's Landscaping, you'll get ignored and it seems like you're not even worth their time. And then YOU end up fixing THEIR mistakes! Sad.

The work was done quickly and efficiently even in this summer's blistering heat. In just three days, the yard went from dirt to beautiful, tiered flagstone walls. The quality of this team's work is excellent. Sergio, the owner, provided a complete written quote that outlined the pertinent details and was supported with AI generated images of the "after" look, which confirmed that we were on the same page regarding the design. Once underway, the job progressed quickly and smoothly. (We're doing the planting, which is in progress.) Would we turn the SRG Hardscaping again should we need stone or brick work in the future? Absolutely.

SRG removed and replaced our garage slab (smooth finish), as well as our entire front porch, patio…read moreand a sidewalk in front of the driveway (all stamped concrete). Both had been damaged by long term soil settlement and an unfortunately aggressive tree root. The interior garage slab process went extremely well with no issues. They were able to remove the tree root, re-prep the substrate and pour a new slab that slopes to the door so water from wet vehicles will drain. The exterior porch was a bit more of a challenge. We had experienced significant settlement of the soil against the house due to improper backfill and compaction during the original construction. SRG excavation down approx. 6' and removed all of the bad soil and backfilled with road base and recycled concrete while compacting in lifts. Once this was complete, they prepped and poured and new front porch, patio and sidewalk in front of the garage/driveway. Unfortunately the concrete pour did not go according to plan. The concrete material was not per specification (we think it had flyash in it from the plant). This made the concrete material sticky and difficult to place and stamp. After 24 hours of cure time, we noticed that the surface of the concrete was starting to develop many small hairline cracks (plastic shrinkage cracks) throughout the surface of the concrete. After multiple discussions with SRG, and Sergio's subsequent discussions with the concrete supplier, I made the decision to have all of the stamped patio removed and re-poured. Sergio at SRG displayed his business integrity by agreeing to perform this re-work at no additional cost to me, while also being told by the concrete supplier that they took no responsibility for the issue. SRG returned approx. 3 weeks after the initial pour, removed all of the stamped concrete, and re-poured the entire porch, patio and sidewalk in a weekend. Again, at no additional cost to me for the issue. Although our project didn't go exactly as planned, I would still recommend SRG for your project as they acted with a high level of business integrity and did what was necessary to provide the client with a great finished product.
