No Sprinkler Service for you! I see their trucks around town all the time, so I decided to give Sam's a try. We had a minor sprinkler repair situation. My husband decided to work from home on the day, three days after we made the appointment. They scheduled for 8am. At 9am, the guy texted to say he was running late. He showed up at 10:15 and took a look. Very quickly said some PVC is broken. It would be $500 to repair and take 3-4 hours. We agreed (at first) and he said someone would start at 11:30. After considering, $500 seemed high. They would have to dig an 18" by 18" hole (which my unskilled husband later did in an hour) and replace or glue a $25 pipe. We asked about the timing and price, offering $300. He said he can't do that and had already booked another job anyhow. I suspect Sam's might be more responsive and professional for bigger jobs. It's too bad. We plan to redo the landscaping, hardscaping, and replace the sidewalks and patio this year. Sam's seemed like a good outfit for the bigger job, so we tried this test run. Because of this subpar experience, we'll be hiring someone else. read more

Sang and his crew mowed my lawn last summer, which seemed fine at first, but the summer ended with my yard shorter and more spotty, with dirt patches. It was obvious none of the mowers noticed this was going on and my pleas were un This year, I wanted to give him another shot, so I brought up my concerns before signing a summer contract for mowing. I was very clear that I was concerned about my yard and that it was getting worse. He assured me he'd come out and we could figure out a solution. Nope! I tried to schedule with him multiple times, but I just get crickets. NO communication. Meanwhile, the mowers keep tearing up my lawn. I ended up doing a lot of work myself and clearing, leveling, seeding, watering, etc to get any patches filled in. I then inform Sang about that and tell him I've put up stakes and line portioning off the yard for grass seeding. Nothing. No communication. I tell him again before the next couple of mowing sessions. Crickets, again. The grass is finally starting to grow and the mowers come. WTF... they mow OVER my stakes, lines, etc, tear up a bunch of spots I had planted new grass so that I have to do it all over again. VERY unprofessional. I informed Sang and he admitted it was their fault, but still, I wanted to see if he could fix what they had done to my grass, especially since I put a bunch of money and work into the yard at this point. He offered NO resolution other than to pay for something rather than work with me. It always felt like I was just annoying him and wasting his time. Eventually he gave me a refund for my contract, but I am out so much more money with my yard that his team really messed up. Just so you know, if you aren't spending a bunch of money with Sam's Landscaping, you'll get ignored and it seems like you're not even worth their time. And then YOU end up fixing THEIR mistakes! After reading a number of great reviews, I was hoping to get an estimate on some hardscaping and landscaping. I realize this is Sang's busy time of the year, so I gave him some leeway. The first scheduled appointment Sang canceled due to heavy rain. We changed the meeting to the following Wednesday. Sang sent a message to say he was going to be late. An hour and a half later, I offered to reschedule and Sang messaged that Monday would work for him. Sang never showed up. I responded with a message proposing a date the week later because I really appreciate the quality of Sam's Landscaping work. He never responded. Unplease experience with the two rough and overly charged lawn services. I am newly moved here, Sam is charging overly for new people like me. I was too busy moving in so did not investigaty and bargain for the price. First time charged $300 for mowing and cutting couple tree branches that is touching the house. After the service, branches still touching and mowing was rough and grass was unevenly, no edge is done. Second time of mowing, maintained low quality. Third time showed up after disppearing to 20 days. So I have hired others to do the job for me the day before. And asked $30 for trip fee??? Do not hire those who do business by taking advantage of the newly moved in people, and treating customers differently. read more

Sang and his guys were amazing. No other way to put it. I asked them to tear out my old fence and clear the yard of old sod and trees. They did it fast and it looks amazing. I also had them tear out my old deck and replace it with a new one. They made it look even more amazing than I could've hoped and my wife cried when she saw the finished product. Next, I had them put in two stone patios for the backyard and they also anchored my pergola into the stone to secure it. They showed up early and stayed late each day. They were courteous and always cleaned up at the end of each day. I can't say enough great things about them, just friendly, hard-working guys who do a great job at a fair price. Finding someone to do our backyard was painful until we found Sang and his team! After asking Sang to come out and give us a quote he was there within a day or two and had a quote for me within the week with everything line-itemed just as I had asked. He answered all my questions quickly and fully while we were trying to make our decision! A couple weeks later when we finally made up our mind on the items we wanted him to do, he was responsive and realistic with his schedule. His price was the best so waiting a couple months was totally worth it! Sang and his team did a 60ft long retaining wall with steps for us, as well as leveled out the terrace on either side of the wall! The team came early, worked hard and got everything done when they said for the price they said. They left the yard and driveway clean! They were very nice and worked with us to help us get the sprinkler in to both levels behind the wall. They gave great recommendations for what to do with the yard and the wall during the process! I wanted to update my review. I originally gave a 5-star review for the aeration but after utilizing other services, I can't stand by it. We liked them so much we hired them to plant several privacy bushes. While they were here for that, we got a quote for a bunch of work in our backyard. When we received it a couple days later, it was 18k, so we politely declined. A week or two later, I reached out and sent pictures because one of the bushes they planted was obviously dead and needed replaced. He said he would come back and replace it. That was over a year ago and guess which dead bush is still there and who still hasn't heard back from Sang? The pictures are over a year apart, but as you can see in both, one is clearly dead. It's super frustrating to think we didn't get a response because we didn't move forward with the 18k job, but I'm not sure what other explanation could be given. read more

Called Sam's to have some rock added to a bare patch on the side of my house. Sang was responsive and professional. He provided a bid very quickly and the price was fair. I told him that we wanted the work done as soon as possible because we were listing our house for sale and needed it to look good. He went out of his way to get the work done fast. Creative, fast, and extremely reliable! Sam, and everyone that worked with him were great. Our yard was a complete disaster with old construction debris, drainage issues, poorly maintained trees, and a lot of irregular ground. We were not sure what we wanted done exactly, but we knew we hated our yard. Sam worked with us to help us design a yard we would really enjoy and then, in about a week, he removed all of the debris and old construction materials, leveled the entire yard, removed the unhealthy trees, sculpted the yard into a beautiful combination of grass, mulch, and stone and then installed a custom fence. He also helped us place and install a french drain through an associate that he works with! We assumed the project would take all summer, and Sam and his crew basically transformed our entire yard in one week. At the end of the job he personally walked the yard with us and made a few tweaks to make sure it was perfect. We just put in a pool and he helped us rock scape it, build a paver walkway, plant many new flowers, add mulch, and get our sprinkler system up and running again (a line was cut with the pool installation). We purchased this home in July of last year and needed several random projects done around the exterior of the house.
