Shane, Geno, Renee and the crew w Denver Landscapes are my 'go to' landscapers moving forward. Tore out the backyard and it was a complete redo. Geno, the architect, did a great job w the plan. His communication through the process was outstanding. The crew was on site for 3 straight weeks and it was as smooth of a process w a contractor that I've ever had. Shane, the owner, was on site routinely ensuring the work was being done correctly and was hands on- which I appreciate. I also felt that there was great value in what we paid and what we got. This is our first ever review on Yelp. We thought it was necessary to share our horrible experience. We tried to use Shane to help us design and execute our patio and landscaping. The process was fine in the beginning. We were clear about what we wanted and our budget. It seemed everyone was on the same page. We filled out their landscape questionnaire in detail and again, noted our budget. We are always weary of signing design contracts. Knowing numbers of rounds, estimates and being warned when we are close to going over the estimated amount is crucial to us. We made this clear to DL and had multiple conversations discussing our fear. Somehow, it still happened... Then Denver Landscapes came back to us with a plan that was almost 3X our original budget. What?!? They wasted their time building out such a plan and our money by charging us for those wasted design hours. All in all, it was a worthless exercise that left us very frustrated and feeling taken advantage of. It was a horrible experience and I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. We have since found an amazing company to work with. They came in within budget and have been such a pleasure to work with! We are super excited to put this behind us and enjoy our new patio! read more

We used Shane and Denver Landscaping to completely re-vamp our yard and are very glad we chose them. When we initially found water in our basement and in efforts to improve our drainage / grading, we got bids from multiple landscaping companies. Denver Landscaping wasn't the cheapest and wasn't the most expensive. We decided to go with Shane as he had great design ideas, was cognizant of balancing between our budget and our priorities, shared his expertise on what would work given our situation, and was interested in building a lasting relationship with us. We had Shane complete a design and install / implement the following items: - Re-grading the yard - Extending downspouts underground and installing a French drain - Irrigation system installation - Turf, mulch/rocks and a Flagstone walkway Although our yard was a relatively small project for Shane's company, he was able to fit us in almost as soon as we decided to go forward with the plan and still exceeded our expectations in terms of the attention we received throughout. Vince, the foreman, and his crew showed up on time every morning, were friendly and professional, and did great work! Vince explained everything with the irrigation system to us as this was the first time we had an irrigation system. He also brought to light any issues that could arise from our 100+ year old house (i.e. old water lines/pipes, low pressure/water flow to the irrigation system, etc) and him and Shane came up with viable solutions for every issue that arose. Both Vince and Shane were open to minor changes that we wanted while the crew was already working at the house and outlined the pros/cons of these changes, and ultimately supported what we wanted for our house. The project was completed in approx. one week and Vince returned a couple days later to change out the irrigation heads as Shane came up with a better layout given our low water pressure/flow issues. Shane and Renee followed up with us after the project was completed to ensure we were happy and understood everything with our irrigation and drainage systems. We absolutely love our new yard and will definitely use Shane and Denver Landscaping for our future projects. We would highly recommend this company for any of your landscaping needs! read more

From start to finish working with you has been a pleasure. We found you to be detail oriented throughout our landscaping project. You insisted on good foundation work, such as having a professional survey of the property completed. This was very important to us as we had existing drainage issues. Next, you matched us with a licensed landscape architect to design a plan. Lisa Cleary really listened to us, the client, and did her best to incorporate all desired elements into the design. You and Lisa also provided a far more creative and structurally sound design than any of the other companies we considered. We were further impressed with the construction and implementation phase. Again you were very thorough and made sure your employees exhibited the same qualities in their workmanship. Your time and schedule estimates were also realistic. We had a few snags along the way, as all projects do, and you handled every matter with the utmost concern and courtesy. We have worked with many contractors on home remodeling projects and your professionalism and level-headedness is far above the rest. After the plants were installed, you and your employees continued to monitor our yard to insure each tree, shrub and plant was established. If they were stressed you did what it took to make things right. We have been very pleased with the maintenance plan as well. Lastly, the work of Cascade Design is a great value. We were impressed with the materials and workmanship for the price. Another area in which we appreciate your attention to detail was in the project cost proposal. You detailed all costs in the initial contract. There were no surprise costs as the project progressed. It was so refreshing to have a project actually stay on budget. They do not offer a planting guarantee. We complained that many of the plants / shrubs even when installed looked pretty sad and sure enough, about half the plants didn't make it through the winter. They told us that without a "Plant Maintenence Plan" they would not replace the dead plants / trees. What a waste of money and now we need to pay to have the dead plants removed. Frustrating! What landscaper doesn't offer a guarantee? read more
