HORRIBLE! I've had awful experiences with this practice literally day one. They made us come in to the office every day for a week right after we brought my son home from the hospital due to they kept messing up his blood test for his bilirubin levels. Took 2 YEARS to get my son referred to speech therapy due to the pediatrician not taking my concerns seriously. And they've always had AWFUL customer service. They used to put you on hold IMMEDIATELY upon answering the phone - NOW they don't even bother to answer the phone or call you back. I literally have to drive down there every time I need to request his school physical immunization forms, then wait for them to receive the forms and drive back and pick them up a different day. Extremely inconvenient. I would stop going here except it's unfortunately the only practice covered by my insurance. Would not recommend this practice to anyone. read more

I recently had an insurance problem that was sending me in circles. Insurance company refused payment for lab tests because of a coding issue, the billing lab told me to talk to the Doctor and the insurance company which I did with each declaring they were correct. Totally frustrated I went to the Sanford office with my bill from the Lab and talked to Keyla, the Sanford office manager. Keyla took the information and started through the process of finding the problem. Long story short, she called this morning and told me the problem had been resolved and I was not being charged for the lab tests which were covered by a separate agreement between the lab and the insurance company. Update: Today the manager at first choice Pediactrics Sanford location by the name of Vivian reached out to address the previous review my husband and I made about her and my experience there. Immediately I knew this was a bad idea being that most places have a superior of the manager or someone else reach out to gather more information on what happened. Nevertheless, accountability is what I expected And FULL responsibility for her actions is what any patron or patient deserves. Instead I was told that I was a liar. As if I need to fabricate accusations against her for any reason. When the coin that was left in the lobby was brought to the first receptionist attention the "okay" I received should have been addressed by the manger Vivian. However, she came out with a pre conceived notion after I asked for her that My concerns wasn't worth her time. After she became stand off ish telling me that " another family dropped it" and " it wasn't my staff" in lieu of trying to step out from behind the front desk to visual examine the area to ensure no other coins or choking hazards were there. Once she brushed off my concerns I left it alone because it was evident she was not in the business of truly addressing my concern. Vivian decided to speak to her coworkers in Spanish, assuming I didn't know what she was saying... On the call back she wanted to deny that this occurred but I think she forgets I had a response in Spanish to her when she switch to Spanish to talk about me. She didn't think that my black husband or myself knew Spanish. Very disrespectful very unprofessional. As a manager Vivian has no idea how to take accountability for her actions or problem resolution. Pediactrics offices are held at a higher standard when it comes to floor debris, coins, etc. She showed no compassion and it's really a shame the only reason she wanted to fix it is after I made my first review. read more

For this to be a Pediactrics office cleanliness should be priority. Upon entering I immediately saw a coin on the ground. As I proceeding to pick it up and give to the staff because of the danger it presented. I was met with just an ok instead of a apology for that danger presented or even a staff never stepping out to ensure there were no remaining coins. I then ask for a manager.. Viviana the manager then comes out as I explain to her what happened and she doesn't do anything or even act like it was a dangerous coin left in the lobby. She instead took no responsibility, offered no apology, and pretty much brushed it off as it was someone's else's fault that there lobby isn't cleaned. Then proceeded to try to speak Spanish to the other receptionist as if I don't understand it. Obviously I do, but speaking about a patient to other staff in front of there face in a different language is unacceptable. Especially when I no you twitched to Spanish cause you thought I didn't know what you would be saying . The problem is that if your in healthcare in a pediatric office. The least you can do is make sure the lobby floor remains free of debris like dangerous choking hazards. And as a manager if a problem is presented you do your absolute best to resolve it. A shame that such a good Dr. Doctor Singer, will probably lose a few patients due to lack of caring shown by her front office staff. read more

I love it here my children's doctor is so caring and the staff are polite and very helpful. I have a wonderful experience every time I go there. I moved 30 minutes away and still drive to there location. I wouldn't trade there doctor for nobody. I really recommend everyone to visit this location, very clean place to bring the children too. read more

Absolutely ridiculous! Just signed my daughter up with First Choice Pediatrics. I did there new patient sign up online and I was supposed to get a call back from someone. They called me back early in the day but I couldn't answer because I work during the day all week long. So naturally I called them when I got off in the afternoon after 3. Spoke to a lady who told me that a care coordinator needs to call me back because we're new patients. I said that was fine and the next day somebody calls me again in the morning which I can't answer. So the next day I call them in the afternoon during a time when I can call them and the same exact situation happens again. This time I explained to the lady that me and the care coordinators quote on quote have been exchanging phone calls and I would like to make my daughter an appointment. Only answer I got from her was that she would let them know. So here we go again. This is absolutely ridiculous I'm already waiting over 5 minutes on hold so I can call and make an appointment and then I can't even make the appointment. I can't even imagine what the wait is going to be like when I actually get there with my daughter. What a joke! read more

All three of my kids go here and Dr. Chang is amazing with them, as well as all the nurses and staff. We never had any issues getting appointments even same day when we've needed them, and they make sure you don't have any questions or issues before you leave. read more

I had to wait for an appointment for almost a month to fit my schedule. This is pretty standard for most medical places I have been to. I got several calls from them a few days prior because they couldn't figure out the insurance. However, the terrible part is that they called me ONE HOUR before my appointment that I had waited weeks for, telling me that they were not able to see me. Nothing like waiting weeks and requesting time off work just to get cancelled on at the last second. No offer to see another doctor that day or anything. Just cancelled. read more

I have been taking my kids here since my oldest was born. We see Dr. Chang and couldn't be happier! You can tell he really cares about his patients. He listens to every concern and answers questions in detail. The nurses are excellent and so friendly. We love the office staff as well. I wouldn't take my kids anywhere else! read more

My family had recently moved to the area and found First Choice Pediatrics. I took my toddler daughter in for a check up. Her appointment was at 10:00 AM. After feeling terribly uncomfortable in the waiting room we went inside the examination room about 10:15. Finally after an hour of waiting I went outside and asked a nurse what was going on and they apologized and claimed it was just really busy and that "I was next". Finally, another half hour later, the doctor comes in. He had never examined my daughter plus it was a physical. All he did was look at her eyes and ears and feel her stomach and told me she was good to go. He didn't ask me anything about her eating, communicating, potty training.. nothing. Now that I think about it, he never washed his hands before or after he was done. I was very uneasy to try a new pediatrician for my young children and this place was a terrible experience. If I could rate it zero stars I would. Rude, unprofessional and a waste of time. Shame on you. read more
