My daughter's annuals are super easy because they get right to the point and focus on my daughter. They are always happy to answer and concerns I have but it is so nice to run through the appointments smoothly. I have been to other offices where the NP just had a generally slow pace about them and it drove me crazy! It is evident that staff cares for each other and I have seen this extended towards my daughter several times even in the MA's interactions with her. While signing in there was no greetings, my children were new patience and I didn't receive any paper work until I returned to the window to inform the rude receptionist that we were new patience. She has no social graces. Once taken back the M.A. was wonderful and I thought, maybe the receptionist was having a bad day. But once the Nurse Practitioner came into the room and started judging me for being a single parent and telling me how I should and should not raise my children, I quickly realized this was not a good office for my children or myself. After all the rude remarks from the N.P. I opted to give my children the Hep A vac. and the nurse who injected my children wouldn't even converse with them in any way, shape or form, She didn't answer any of my questions and then barked at me to hold my children down or she will have a nurse do it for me. Needless to say, it was the most outrageous Dr. visit my children or I have ever experienced. Upon leaving I wanted to discuss my disappointments and concerns, but there wasn't anyone to be found to talk to. I called and left messages for the office manager, but there was and still is no response. Except for a call back from a nurse who wanted to argue with me and who didn't want to hear any of my concerns. Her theory was the "it's a business" and nothing was done incorrectly. Save yourself some time and just avoid them altogether.

Unfortunately, my most recent experience proved that this office clearly has no idea what is going on. I arrived 30 minutes early for my scheduled appointment at the Ormond Beach location, only to be told after checking in that my appointment was actually in Orange City. This was after three days of trying to reach someone to confirm the location -- and being told by their voicemail not to leave more than one message. No one ever called me back. When I finally reached someone after leaving the Ormond office, she said she would contact Orange City and call me right back. That call never came either. I drove to the second location on my own, only to be told I could not be seen and would need to make yet another appointment. By then, I had wasted half my day, two unnecessary trips, and my own gas because of their complete lack of communication and coordination. No patient should have to deal with this level of disorganization. My time has value, and I fully expect the doctor to pay the invoice I submitted for the time, mileage, and inconvenience caused by their repeated mistakes. We got to see Dr. Seifert and she was great. Gave us some amoxicillon for an ear infection and gave me some saline for the nebulizer saying that would dry up his congestion if I could get him to breathe it in. Maybe 5 hrs after leaving he was so much better and now a day after and hes doing great. I recommend her above anyone else. She helped me get some sleep finally and I can't thank her enough!! I called multiple times 4days in a row being told I didn't need an apt and the doctor could send over a new antibiotic. Each time being hung up on or told they'll send a script in an hour or so. On the fourth day I demanded I speak to a nurse and had to argue with her to get the doctor to get my son the antibiotic he needed as I was then being told he now needed an apt. A week later my son woke up with a swollen face, I thought it could possibly be a tooth infection. The PA said it wasn't and to just keep an eye on it and come back. I decided to take him to his dentist who confirmed the tooth infection. I then AGAIN had to go back to the doctor to get an antibiotic shot because he was already on antibiotics at the time, and the call center told me there was no antibiotic shot and my dentist can give me an antibiotic script, so once again I had to argue my way to get my son the medical treatment he needed. The dentist needs a consent physical form filled out by the doctor to approve the dental surgery and the doctor refused to fill out the form without a doctors apt. So my son has been to the doctor FOUR times this month and I have to leave work take him out of school again so the doctor can make her $$$ with the apt, the PA offered to filled it out... yes.. without the apt. But when they asked the doctor she refused and said we need an apt!!! I would NOT recommend this office or any first choice office, the one in Sanford is equally as terrible. We are hoping our insurance will find us a new pediatrician because this place is terrible. UPDATE. I went into the office at 8am the other day to get a surgery clearance form completed for my sons emergency dental surgery and the PA offered to sign, but the paperwork clearly states a Doctor MD has to sign and the doctor was there and REFUSED to sign and told me to schedule an appointment, I did. Waited for my apt and the office calls 10mins prior to the appointment to CANCEL his apt because my son has been Dropped as a patient due to my refusal of care by the doctor. I had to contact the supervisor to make this doctor do her job so my son 19months old could have his emergency dental surgery because of the incident listed above over the FOUR days of phone calls trying to get my son an antibiotic or an apt for his ear infection. The supervisor made the doctor keep the apt and sign the paperwork. Absolutely negligent of a child and shouldn't be practicing medicine, the doctor he told my 19 month old not to kick her as he sat on my lap and she listened to his heart beat, he was wiggling not even kicking. I threatened to contact the news and get a lawyer and that was how I got the doctors boss to make this doctor sign a clearance piece of paper. Do not recommend. This doctor does not care about your children only $$ and if you question her treatment or ask for another option she'll drop you as a patient. She could have told us that morning that she was refusing to treat my son we could have went to a different doctor, but she had us get an apt and tell us at 3pm she wasn't going to sign the paperwork for our 19month old to have emergency dental surgery, it's completely negligent.

Now they refuse to give us our child's physical form (who is still 2) because we won't bring him back for a 30 month check up with them... our new pediatrician does not do 30 month check ups so we can only get the physical form from them for school which they are refusing to do until we take him back. Our new pediatrician even stated that it's ridiculous and they aren't allowed to do that. I advise everyone to stay clear of this place and all associated with pediatric association. If you want a good peds that cares and you can ACTUALLY contact I HIGHLY recommend stages Pediatrics in Orange city.

Not sure what is worse, the office staff or the the attending physicians. They will waste your time, your deductible's, and energy. For simple things that can be diagnosed with a primary care physician FIRST VISIT, Smith came in read a list of medications i am on, then ordered blood test results and left the room, asked if I had any questions while half way out the door... waited two weeks for blood results, would of waited longer if I did not call and ask to have assess to the portal. When i messaged Smith and expressed concern she wrote me back with a "schedule an office visit or may try infectious disease no referral is needed for your plan" (this is taken right from the message in the portal) that sounds extreme since I am working with what I thought was going to be my primary??? I called the office to see another provider, I go in and the new provider "Darnell" did express interest in my concerns however to be safe ordered more blood test and gave a referral to a dermatologist. As I was checking out for that appointment I asked for print outs of the blood work orders and referral, however was told TWICE that it was sent electronically. I went home and made an apt for Quest the next day before work, I even emailed Darnell in the portal to confirm it was sent electronically... I go to the quest apt and they do not have the orders, well one of the quest do, the one I told the front desk THREE TIMES the day before was not the one I went to... they asked to confirm, I told them it was wrong, it was a different location *gave location* was told okay, and moved on. After wasting my time at quest, I call CH to get the orders EMAILED to me, and make another apt over a week later because of the hurricane. When I came in for this last appointment, I waited 40 mins past my appointment time before Darnell came in to the room to pull up my results and read them to me in real time, I already knew what they were when I requested my full visit records to my email , and that's where I finally saw my referral (two weeks later) because I am supposed to magically know where that referral was sent, I have nothing better to do but call around or wait on hold the upwards of 20+ mins the 5-6 times I had to call this location. When I asked what my PRIMARY was going to do for me, she stated "I'M not going to do anything". why do I have a primary ? why does my ins pay do much out for someone to look at blood test results and pass me off ? Maybe I would understand if the staff took the time to explain anything... or at least give the impression they care, and you are not just another number... SAD I read reviews and I was hopeful this would be a great location.

They try to work you in when nothing is "available", and having two locations (the other is in DeLand) helps with this. It I s true that sometimes there is a wait, but it is more than worth it for your health. The waiting is typically due to the fact that patients are listened to, and actually treated like meaningful human beings instead of cattle, like at other insurance-driven medical practices. Patience is a virtue, especially when it is for a great medical team.

The staff are so friendly and attentive across the board from reception to technicians and the facility is bright, clean and inviting. I was taken back well before my appointment, the IV contrast line was put in without any issue, and they must have advanced equipment because the whole test took half the time it has in the past. The MRI techs are calming, funny, and professional so if I were a nervous type they'd have put me completely at ease. My insurance tells at me to use non-hospital facilities to save myself money but it's well worth it for the service and comfort you get here!
