I gave them my insurance and credit card. After about an hour, I was sent to the exam room and the technician came in. She got everything ready and then said oh wait a minute let me check something. She went away and came back and said oh this isn't covered under your insurance Do the cost $50. I said of course it's covered. I've had it numerous times here. She said well your insurance company is considered under the global definition so it's not covered we could flag your chart that you said it is I said no I wouldn't have it done. I was there for two hours! I came home and called my insurance company and they indicated of course it's covered they pay for it all the time. I called the technician back and said I just wanted to let you the procedure is covered and she indicated she would let Helix know. Apparently Helix took over this location a few months ago and things have changed. My co-pay is $10. yesterday, I received a bill from them for $13.99. They apparently did not put my co-pay through and are doing it now, which is fine. My problem is they are charging a $3.99 surcharge for the use of the credit card. This is an outrage for a medical facility. I will never go there again. The employees are very nice but our choices in this area are endless.

The first time, I…read morewas told I just had a small irritation in my ear, given some cream and sent on my way. 2 days later in Phoenix I saw a different urgent care and I had a severe ear infection as well as a sinus infection. Ok, everybody can miss something once. I went there again with the same types of symptoms and again was told it was a minor item and given some ear drops. I told the doctor what happened the last time I was there and that I could have a sinus infection. He didn't even look up my nose to see if it was infected. Later that night, I could not hear out of my ear. The next morning I went to a different urgent care and again was told I had an ear infection and sinus infection and was put on high dosage antibiotics. The people are very nice, and it is a clean and very good environment, but they obviously do not listen to their patients.

We explained the issues and he left. They pulled a blood sample and later Amanda stated it came back ok. Long story short Dr. Taylor never came back in the room during the entire 3 hr visit. We left and went home. I made my wife some chicken soup and slowly felt better. Today 7-2 my wife went to her Kidney Doctor. He reviewed her blood work from the ER and stated that her sodium had bottomed out and they should have gave her two bags of IV. I get it, he said / she said, but what REALLY pissed me off was Dr. Taylor's comment that he had a short attention span and give him the short version, like we were bothering him. Maybe his lack of "attention" missed the issue on the blood test?? How does someone with a short attention span become a MD in school? .......we will not go back to this location.

The doctor diagnosed my problem very quickly, and they treated me within 15 minutes once I was in the exam room. I specifically chose this facility because it's ER doctors without the ER wait/price. It is a walk-in facility, so depending on demand, you may have to wait a while. But it's much better than, say, going to Quest and waiting without an appointment. And if you think about it, you wouldn't want them to cut your appointment time short and not give you the care that you deserve. So you might have to wait a little while.

When her surgery was done they called me, even though I was in the waiting room, and said to bring the car around they would wheel her out. Within seconds of checking in, we were called back by NP Eve Wittlin-Young. She was professional, thorough, and did a great job of putting my daughter at ease. We got our tests done, and had a diagnosis in a short period of time. She sent the prescription over to the CVS pharmacy, and we were out the door, medication in hand in less than five minutes. I don't think we were even in the building for 45 minutes. When our primary care physician isn't available, we will definitely be going back!
