Great family business. Very honest and reliable. Have had many services done at multiple locations. Wouldn't use any one else.

My home refrigerator stopped working. Only frost crystals! Moved everything into coolers with ice…read more Went to YELP, found Keitz, called and spoke with Arlene. She fit me into schedule quickly. Shane showed up on time and in 15 minutes found the issue. Took an hour to unclog the defrost line, a common problem. Shane was awesome, highly recommended. They are now my "go to" for appliance repair. He even suggested brands and models in case I need to buy new. For now my 25 year old GE is running great. Thank you. Jay P, Highland, MI

I heard long ago that an old trick is to gain your trust by pointing at rust at the bottom of the…read moreheat exchanger and frighten you into believing that it's leaking carbon monoxide and that your family will die tonight. Kreitz played that game right to the letter. What's actually occurring is (according to three trusted sources) that your A/C got low on freon, this causes water to condense and freeze. When the freon is fixed, the ice melts, which causes a little rust, and it's all perfectly harmless. He also needed a week to replace my furnace (it was 40 years old). I looked up his business address on Google Maps/Street View (try it). I tried repeatedly for four days to speak to someone about cancelling my appointment but could never get anyone to answer the phone. Worst of all, the old man's son was tagging along, so he's being taught this scheme. If we hadn't had to wait so long, or if he would have just loaned us a small space heater to get us through the cold nights, we might have had Kreitz do the job. Instead, I went to Home Depot to buy a heater. While I was there, a contractor happened to ask me as I was walking by, "Would you like a quote on a furnace?" Instead of a one-man home-based operation, I dealt with a large professional state-wide organization. The whole thing was over in less than 48 hours and on a Saturday. I paid more there. But the fact is I need reliable, long-term support and satisfaction for decades to come, not a lowball price. And a reliable furnace. And they gave me a very nice Nest thermostat.

However, the service was never rendered. It was fine because he said he that he would reach out to someone the could provide the service that was needed (and this didn't materialized either because I never heard from this so-called different repairman.) I can't fault "Americare Appliance Reair" for that (I don't think?) What I can fault is him for allowing me to pay him to simply reverse my dryer door (while he was already at my place.) A task that seemed quite simple to do, it although also seemed to stumped is personal abilities. After awhile he said that he needed to get a different bracket from his shop and that he would be by my place early in the morning to finish the job. He answered one phone call from me in the morning but never showed up to finish reversing the door (while he left all of the parts scattered about.) He would not answer or returned any more calls (not even before I submitted the review.) I sent several (friendly) courteous messages (during this time) but to no avail. I waited numerous weeks before submitting my review of this small business owner (to give him the "benefit of the doubt" to make himself whole.) I finally realized the he didn't know what he was doing when I googled my dryer's model number (and watched the video on YouTube. Everything that he needed to do for the job was actually provided on the dryer. He didn't need to get a different bracket at all. He just didn't he know what he was doing for all intents and purposes. I watched the video and troubleshooted the rest for myself. He really should feel bad and should mail my money back to me? I sure he that understands that is was wrong and that you all dailed into these reviews... good luck to you all.

We contacted this company because our appliance provided an error code. When we scheduled the…read moreservice call ,we told the person that answered the phone, what the error code number was assuming this was the problem and they would bring the part. The tech arrived saw the code displayed and said they needed to order the part. He did not look any further at the appliance to make sure this was the issue. Between the service call and the part it was around $300.00 for the first visit. The part was ordered. The company contacted us to let us know the part was in, but unlike what the tech told us (he could put the part in the following week), there was no time available, so we had to wait an additional week. On the day of the service call, (second visit), the part was put in only to be told, the appliance still wasn't working, and we needed an another part for an an additional $300.00. We did not go ahead with the additional part. To say we are disappointed, is an understatement. If the tech would have looked at our appliance at the first visit, perhaps, he might have better diagnosed our problem. I would not recommend this company. My advice is to look for another company. We are now stuck with an appliance that had a new part installed and doesn't work. We are out $300 dollars and without the appliance working. I wish we would have read the reviews, (Brian K and Arthur EW), prior to contacting this company. My advice is to look for another company.
