Ironically, we had Atomic Pest as our pest and termite warranty company, and they serviced our home annually for five years prior to 2026. We did have field mice in our garage and it needed to be sealed to prevent further issues. However, we never saw any evidence of mice in the house or attic. Jimmy, the buyers' sales/pest inspector, looked in the garage and the attic and said we had rodent infestation in the attic due to the "droppings" he said he saw, along with mice tunnels and urine on the attic floorboards. He offered the prospective buyers a "remediation" service that was priced at $10,000 to seal the garage, spray, remove attic insulation and replacing the insulation. Following Jimmy's inspection report, and during the ten day inspection period, my wife and I called in two other pest companies for verification and other quotes. We did this because we had never had any rodent issues in our attic in 12 years of living there. One pest company and the biohazard company both said the same thing: "you do not have a rodent issue, the black "droppings" were actually from interior roof shingles and there were no rodent tunnels in the insulation". We shared this information with the prospective buyers, but they were already spooked and instead of the full price cash offer they initially made, they reduced the offer by $10,000 to pay for the "pest service". Ultimately, these buyers walked away from the sale because we would not negotiate on this non-issue. We are angry with Jimmy and Atomic Pest Control and would advise no one to use them if this is how they try to get added sales. If we could give them zero stars, we would do that. I needed someone to come onsite and verify there is no active infestation. I was told they won't do that; they will only send someone to do an inspection if it's to get a quote for services. I had called the local 928 number, but was routed to a call center somewhere so I asked to speak with someone in the local office. They would not transfer me to the local office. I called my real estate agent who gave me a referral to a local pest control company who is sending someone out soon. Do not use Truly Nolen. Use a local company who cares.
