PSA for anyone who uses Bulwark Exterminating -- I had a really frustrating (and honestly, pretty sketchy) experience with them. One of their technicians claimed a dog bite happened at the house I rent. Instead of contacting me -- the person who lives there and owns the dogs -- their insurance company went straight to my landlord and arranged a workers' comp payment (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't think a third party could pay out a workers' comp claim without involving the allegedly 'responsible' party or determining fault through any kind of due proces). I wasn't included at all, even though I was supposedly the one "responsible." For context: The tech was supposed to call or text before entering (as noted on the account) so I could be home to manage the dogs. He didn't. Just entered the yard without notice. My dogs are friendly, but this time I had no chance to introduce them. My landlord and I both asked Bulwark for basic documentation -- a report, statement, anything -- and were repeatedly denied. We didn't want to pay before receiving documentation, but they were really insistent so she negotiated down the price and paid over the phone (super informal) just to avoid the hassle. She made it very clear she wasn't admitting fault. I later reimbursed her because it involved my dog. Fast forward -- I receive a letter from Bulwark's attorney saying the matter is "closed" and that my reimbursement counts as an admission of liability. Still no report. No photos. No explanation. Just a legal letter blaming me and calling it done. The whole thing was handled behind closed doors and completely misrepresented. If this is how they deal with incidents, I'd be really cautious trusting them around your home or your pets. ** In response to Thomas: Hi there -- I appreciate the polite tone, but let's be honest: Bulwark is not working towards a resolution. You had your attorney send me a letter stating the matter was closed and claiming I admitted liability by reimbursing my landlord -- even though I was never included in the original discussion, was denied documentation multiple times, and explicitly told my landlord not to pay. She only did so after your insurer pressured her and refused to provide any formal report. That payment was informal, over the phone, and made solely to get the issue off her plate -- not as a concession of fault. I reimbursed her in good faith because my dog was involved, not because I agreed with how the situation was handled. If your company were committed to resolving things "properly," I would have received documentation, transparency, and a conversation -- not a legal letter closing the door. I'm now moving forward with formal complaints to the Arizona Department of Insurance and Attorney General's Office, as well as obtaining legal counsel. Had the initial service a few weeks ago. It was supposed to include interior treatment. The guy that came out, didn't bother to go inside, and barely "phoned in" the exterior. Had to have someone come out to re-do the exterior and do the interior for the first time the very next day. Fast forward to last night. There's a dead animal under my porch. I text the after hours number. Didn't hear back. I texted again this morning. Finally heard back, more than 12 hours after my initial after hours request, only to be told, quite unceremoniously, that the earliest they could come out is 3 days from now. And when I said that that won't work, was told, "well you enjoy your long holiday weekend." *Click* What exactly is the point of offering an "after hours" service if it takes more than 12 hours to get a response and the soonest they will come out is in 3 days... We had a very frustrating experience with Bulwark Exterminating. First, they wouldn't accommodate our request to provide all of the pest control services we needed, which forced me to hire another company. The second company I hired was much better and went above and beyond to provide us with satisfactory service and results, so I decided to cancel our contract with Bulwark. Unbeknownst to me, their system went down and after they were able to fix it, they never reestablished our preference for receiving emailed invoices. Instead, they started mailing invoices to a property that is used for vacation purposes and isn't routinely visited. Since they didn't call or email us, we had no idea that we owed them $120 for a service that had been completed months ago. Rather than make attempts to contact us, they sent our debt to a collections agency and made the entire ordeal very frustrating. After multiple conversations with Bulwark and false claims that we owed $0, an account manager finally confirmed that we still owed $120, but it had been turned over to an agency. Long story short, I'm still receiving letters from Bukwark and the collection agency even though the debt has been settled, which makes me waste more time because I have to call them again just to verify that we no longer owe any money. Unless you want to deal with one of the worst companies ever, I would stay far away from Bulwark Exterminating. read more

I called this company because of high customer reviews and an apparent good reputation. At first, it seemed that they had a successful strategy. NO MORE! I pay $36/month (that's $436 per year!), and I seem to have more mice in my house than when I first called them! Is there no company that actually knows how to get rid of mice? I don't care about the outdoor bait stations; I just want the mice out of my home! As it is, I catch a mouse almost on a daily basis! So much for $36/month!!!! read more

We had issues with the sales person sending the tech without us signing any contract or agreement which was not ok. The tech showed up unexpected and we felt backed into a corner as far as paying to have service started that day. The tech was awesome, and he's been doing repeat work every few months. I hate that we see so many more ants after the spray though. It has helped keep spiders away about 90% from before spraying. I just wish they wouldn't be so pushy for you to get services in the office. The tech side is 5 star service! read more

These guys really don't know what they are doing. I take care of an Airbnb in Kachina and the owner hired this Flagstaff company. Horrible job. The first guy who came out had just one spray can and walked around the 4 bedroom, 3 story house with decks and was haphazard in his spraying. Literally was done in 15 minutes. ???? Did not even go in every room. I told him specifically where the problems were and did not address those rooms. Spiders and mice. This guy REEKED like cologne. I had to spray Odoban throughout the house after he left to get rid of the smell. Owner complained and they sent out guy #2. This time he tried using a hose from the truck. Did not even reach most of the house outside. He sprayed the areas he could reach and left. Still no traps, glue boards left for mice. Got spray up all over windows instead of down around inside perimeter. Had to reclean all windows. Owner called back about mice still not addressed. Third time they came out and put one mouse trap outside next to the end of the driveway. ???? The mice are inside and come in because it's cold now. Mice are smarter than the exterminators. Not one trap or glue board left inside and the mice problem is worse. WASTE OF MONEY. CHEAPER IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER. read more

I was completely satisfied with my service however recently they changed the type of mouse bait they use and it doesn't work very well at all. I rarely saw mice in my garage until the bait was changed, now I am seeing mice all the time. I am asking them to switch back to the other bait and if they refuse I will be canceling my service. read more

Being new to Prescott Valley I randomly was searching the internet for a pest control company that could do a scheduled routine service on our new home. I happen to call Bulwark Exterminating to spay for pest and to set up a scheduled service. They promptly scheduled our first service for the next day. The office actually called prior to the Technician Toinia to inform us when we could be expecting her arrival. When Toinia arrived at our home she was very professional and really took the time to listen to our concerns. She was also very friendly and personable. My wife and I both knew that Toinia at Bulwark Exterminating was the correct call to make. She did the initial inspection and immediately followed up with our first service and did an extremely thorough job. Toinia was better than any exterminator we have ever had that has serviced our prior homes in the past 20 years. She really took the time to inspect and treat our home as if it was her own. As a retired large business owner that prided ourselves with good old fashion quality customer service we knew that Bulwark Exterminating is fortunate to have a technician that takes such pride in her work. I had the service back to September and the guy was really not patient and kept telling me that my mom kept telling him where to do the job. I asked if he did charcoal white ant issues and he said yes but I don't see any equipment. All he had was a small bottle (looks like I can buy from Walmart). I used the other company before for pest control, but I have to say this one is really unprofessional. Anyways, only a month later the ant shows up again as what my mom said but she is too old to mention to me until I asked. When I call them it was barely pass the day he can do the warranty. I scheduled a time and received the bill at same time and realized the price is different then I signed. I called back to question it and change time but they said cannot find my appointment. I was very upset and told them stop my account. I didn't use the second service and they shouldn't charge me for that. And now I kept receiving the bill and even after the credit company. So ridiculous! I spent money and didn't get any issue resolve and I even bought stuff at Walmart did myself since they don't care about their service but money! read more

Completely "Dropped the ball." Tried to use them for new service, then after they sprayed, 2 days later I have more spiderwebs and bugs outside. I called them to reschedule for the following week For a respray. They called me less than 16 hours before the schedule appointment asking to change my appointment for eight hours earlier which I confirmed and I change my entire schedule to be home and waited for their three hour window and no one showed up only for them to tell me that my initial appointment was in effect. I called them and canceled their service for poor customer service and no show. I do not like my time being wasted as a new client do not recommend. read more

I've been a client of Bulwark for at least two maybe three years and before they came on board I was having problems inside the house with the crickets and roaches and outside with a couple of mice that would run around and a few bugs and when Bulwark started coming all that went away.
