My oldest has been attending MKU since he was a little over 1, and he is displaying enough knowledge and skills to skip kindergarten at 5.5 years. My 1 year old comes home and tries to sweep and clean up spills himself. I can tell that the curriculum taught is helping my little ones grow as individuals. They do their best to mitigate and prevent the spread of illnesses as best as possible in a daycare with lots of young children. Their Compass app is a bit spotty and I wish they would either improve it or move to the Procare app only. However, overall, I highly recommend MKU Weatherford for the safety, learning, and affordability!

The Guides love my child, they are so kind with their positive reinforcements, they speak to the kids in an age appropriate way, giving them more credit to reason and understand than I feel many adults do. They taught her academics but also personal responsibility and conflict resolution. Bethany will be that teacher that my child remembers fondly for the rest of her life. They do so much one on one teaching so each kid gets taught the way that best helps them. My daughter was so far ahead when starting kindergarten. We have been part of the Montessori at the Courtyard community for a long time, but we are deeply…read moreconcerned by the current direction of the school. While the school has seen several administrative changes, including a very difficult period under a previous director, we stayed because of the incredible teaching staff. Unfortunately, the school recently lost Ms. Shelina, an 11-year veteran and the only fully Montessori-certified teacher on staff. To see a teacher of her caliber and dedication pushed out--seemingly due to administrative interference with her classroom expertise--is heartbreaking. Furthermore, the physical environment has declined; classrooms have become overcrowded with furniture, making it difficult for children to work independently as the Montessori method intends. Until there is stability in staffing and a return to true Montessori standards, I find it difficult to recommend this school to new families.
