FFB continues to be my bank of choice. They have banks and ATM's all over Abilene. You are never more than a couple of minutes from a location. They have also expanded east towards DFW, and a little to the south. Friendly and knowledgeable staff have helped me numerous times with my banking needs. Bad phone service, calls drop, then you get directed to a phone center , get asked a dozen questions before you get redirected to a back

The people are nice . It's a small bank with a regional presence. However, dealing with it is a pain in the ass. If you own a business, don't bother banking here. You cannot transfer money from your business account to your personal account--that is not allowed I was told that I could write myself a check from the business to me, or come to the branch. We are not in the 1900's. That is absolutely stupid. On its two-factor authentication, it gives you a choice of a phone call or text. Why? Who the hell wants to hear a number on the phone? I did that once. The second time, I rejected or ended the call early. Guess what? That must block your number from the two-factor authentication process, so I cannot log in now! The reason for the login? I wanted to check the account just in case, because 2 of the 3 stores I tried to use the card at declined the card. WHY? Who the hell knows. It was not for a lack of money. My wife had the same problem--an inexplicable decline. I honestly don't know what these clowns are doing. read more

I have banked with this Bank for over 30 years not had a problem! Until all of a sudden I do! I have just about cleared out my accounts with this bank and I will continue to clear out my accounts with this bank! They continue to send credit cards in first financial name, wanting my husband to sign up for their credit card! He passed away in January, I told them then he passed away. I got a letter wanting him to get a credit card through first financial bank right after he passed away I called again and told them he was deceased same for the second letter wanting him to take a credit card out in first financials name! Today I have received a third letter, wanting him to sign up for a credit card in first financials name! Called again to tell them he was deceased! I am done, I will be retaining an attorney if I receive another one of these letters! Either these people don't pay attention or they're sick in their head read more

Although I currently reside in California and will do so for the next three years, I opened a FFIN account several years ago when I thought for certain I would be returning to my home state of Texas. I opened my checking account in Mineral Wells, Texas, and I will Yelp them separately, even though that branch has earned five stars from me as well. I have dealt primarily with Abilene and have been impressed with their mail deposit operations. One of their account reps even sends me deposit verification receipts with a personalized "Thank you" on the slip. I can assure you that no such courtesy exists here in the Golden State. Used to be the bomb for a bank, lately it has become another giant without customer service. Been borrowing money and loans for years from other banks in Abilene but cannot touch one at ffin which i have had my account for years and years. ONe branch refused to cash a $100 check one time when i run thousands thru the bank in a month. Forget about above and beyond, loan officers are information takers only. Worst customer service on the planet. Called for almost 3 months now still unable to speak with the loan officer. Called well before becoming delinquent on the loan to inform them of a financial hardship still no response. Called requesting the loan officer to please call us so we can discuss my financial hardship. Received 0 calls. Then received a letter in the mail that reads due to the "lack of response and the lack of communication on your part this account is being sent to collections and we will be moving forward with legals actions". Worst financial institution ever. Called for 3 months informing every person that we would be late until basically 21 days from today an the count down has followed as I have told them to the T. Promised when I started contacting them that all past due payments would be made in full and advance payments would be made as well still no response only threats. So here is your warning First Financial you will get nothing since you have gone the route of reporting the delinquent payments I warned you about an promised to pay in full and even gave you a timeline. You will get nothing period an you will now receive no responses since that is the story you are pushing. Take me to court I have phone logs of every attempt to make contact so lie as you must.
