I had been trying for the past 5 or 6 years to refinance my 1988 Florida triple wide manufactured home that is on a deeded lot in a 55 or older community of 297 homes. In the past, I refinanced many times on both of my homes. The process was always a major hassle, and that was with using local mortgage companies. I found First Guaranty online because they had some of the lowest interest rates available on Bankrate.com. I spoke with Louis Esa and expressed my concerns about working with a lender for whom I would never come face to face with due to our distant proximity. I worked with Chris Holwill, a mortgage advisor with first guarantee mortgage corp. on a refinance of my existing mortgage. Chris was able lock me in at very low rate, lower than anyone else I looked at. He worked with me to get rid of PMI and because of the low rate and eliminating PMI, my payment wasn't much higher going to a 15 year loan vs. my previous 30 year loan. Chris, and FGMC, were great to work with and responded quickly to all my questions and concerns. And I was able to close right around 30days.
