The tile work done is absolutely beautiful, and the whole room is just so perfect. It's like a little spa attached to our bedroom. We have ultra protective dogs here and they were all mindful of them and polite when the dogs were being obnoxious. That was also much appreciated. Ed, the owner of Set In Stone, responded first phone call, arrived on time for our appointment, and looked at our project with confidence and professionalism. Throughout the project we could call and ask questions or change things, he never got angry or impatient with us. Our project was his project. He made us feel like he really cared that we were going to be happy. Now no renovation is going to be without its problems, but patience with each other and pulling together made it all come out beautiful in the end. You have to be your own advocate, checking that things are done the way you like, but if you stay involved daily and are a reasonable person you should have a good experience. We hired Justin to do a large 4-stage project in our front and backyard. He tapped off the main…read morewater line and created a brand new irrigation system that feeds over 30 palms and a ton of grass. He put in a decomposed granite driveway back to our shop. He then put in a large patio made of pavers. Lastly he prepared the ground and laid sod in our front and back yard. Plus he moved a mature palm and planted 3 king palms, multiple sego palms, and some Japanese box hedge plants near my front door. He is very professional and communicative. By the end he become a friend of ours. He continues to check in and make sure the grass is doing well, adjusts the sprinklers as needed, and gives us advice on lawn care. If I could rate less, I would. When Jon showed up it was about 3 hours at a time, if that. Weeks…read morebehind schedule. We had two contracts with him. 1 for each bathroom.. He did not finish the first one completely and we opted not to pursue the second. He kept our deposit and actually feels we owe him money! He put our bathroom vanity in but did not secure to the wall or floor and it was not even remotely level. He doesn't know how to install LVP flooring correctly and left us with a cracked floor. He did not seal the bathtub/shower. I'm admittedly stupid for not seeing the red flags. Do not hire him!
