If I could give 0 stars I would. I was taken late for my appointment and on top of that I was rushed out of the chair.. This is the worst haircut I have ever had in my life. Pieces are uneven and it's extremely sloppy. My hair looked better before I sat in the chair. Save your money!! read more

After going here for appx 4 years, I've got to go somewhere else. The last 2 haircuts Tony the owner gave me were seriously not good. Actually, I'm being kind, they were downright bad. Pieces longer, uneven and a style not at all what I wanted. I had to go back, each of these 2 times, on a Sunday (a day when he isn't in) to have the cut corrected by others there. Paying for the correction each time, mind you. The first time I went to get my cut corrected, the woman knew I was Tony's customer and after seeing my hair she said, "Who cut your hair? Not Tony?" Uh yeah he did. While I like Tony very much as a person, my observation is that he is all over the place "monitoring" what everyone else is doing, seeing whose coming in, placing a lunch order, thinking about a lunch order (at 10:00am), just randomly asking an employee out of the blue for no apparent reason "what are you doing?" when clearly that employee is doing something (i.e., shampooing hair, cutting hair, sweeping the floor, etc.). Something obvious. While this is good and pretty much what a shop owner should be doing, it should NOT be done while you are cutting someone's hair. Focus on the hair. And obviously, not focusing on the customer and the cut has had bad results. For me. I LOVE when I find a "vendor" (hair, nail, doctor, mechanic, etc.) that I like, is competent and does a good job. I'll go back again and again. I'm very loyal. I'm with my mechanic 20+ years. Nail lady 10+ years. But 2 bad haircuts that I had to pay to correct? Just can't do it anymore. Sorry. I've thought about leaving this review since April, but kept putting it off. I hope this feedback is taken to heart. I honestly do. It's a cute shop with nice people that I enjoyed going to for years. I'm sorry I have to leave. But it is what it is. read more

Excellent!!! Zana was the stylist that styled my hair. She was very professional, personable, pleasant, and polite. She understood the style that I was going for and made suggestions based on my curly hair. She had a warm, bubbly personality, and I would recommend her to anyone based on my experience. I wanted color, cut, and blow dry and Zana slam dunked it!!! Awesome Job! This was my first time here but I can say Zana will be my new hair stylist going forward for sure. read more

Not only was the blow out phenomenal, but the staff were super welcoming and accommodating. $18 bucks for a wash & blowout that lasted for days? I came in outgrown straw-like blonde dyed hair and left with soft and luscious brown locks. Horrible experience. Color did not come out right then had the nerve to charge another fee to fix it. Beware owner is a shister. Spent a fortune and my hair looks the same. Never again. I came here for the first time to get my hair done for my wedding. I just had a photo to share of what I envisioned and Lydia did her magic. She made me look like a princess and exceeded my expectations! She definitely knows the science behind hair and has amazing taste and a creative eye. I get my hair cut by Vanessa, but sometimes she's not working the only day I can come in so I've gotten my hair cut by others as well. Just left First Impressions Salon for the first time and I am very pleased! I'm very particular about my hair and only usually let my mom ( a licensed cosmetologist) cut my hair. Well its been a few months since I've been able to get a trim and layers cut and my hair has been driving me crazy especially in the heat. Dori gave me a trim and cut short layers into my hair and I absolutely love it..along with the blowout style she did, it matched the photo I showed her perfectly. I will definitely be coming back! Came here to get an asymmetrical long bob with pictures of specifics on how I wanted it just in case I wasn't able to verbally explain what I wanted clearly. The girl made it seem like she understood exactly what I wanted. She then insists on leaving it longer than how I wanted it. I had to keep telling her I wanted it shorter. After many attempts, I just got tired of explaining myself and left it the way she had cut it. I went home and was really unhappy with how my hair came out. The following day I called and came back to have it cut shorter in the back. Tony, the owner then decided he was going to do my hair. He was able to understand my instructions. He did a good job, I won't lie. Unfortunately, for the extra trim that he did, I had to pay full price again for the second visit. I was in shock. I've been coming here since I was 15 years old. The service is excellent and tony loves to get to know his customers on a personal level so when you come in you feel recognize and at home. I used to go to Brittany but she ventured off to jersey and opened her own salon. I've gone to Vanessa and Dory and they are both great. I am looking forward to a cut from Tony himself as well. I never left disappointed. The service is cheap. Probably the cheapest with the great quality. The hair cut for a woman is about $30-$35. Which is excellent compared to all the $50 over priced salons. You will be happy here. read more
