I literally cannot stand this nail salon now. I accidentally went back- I had forgotten about a bad experience from years ago, but I walked in because it was convenient that day. Some of my nails started lifting after just 3 days! He also positioned the line of my pink and whites wrong- you can see the white of my natural nail below the white. I will never go back...except to personally tell him how displeased I am with the poor quality of my service. read more

This salon may do ok for others but I was use to getting gel polish and when I went to this salon and said I wanted a gel manicure (which usually most places use all gel polish (base, color and top coat), I thought that's what I got...fast forward 5 days later when 3 of my nails broke...my nails weren't hard like my normal, it was like putting regular nail polish on...(I have very soft nails and need the gel). I went back and the owner explained to me I only got gel color. Very difficult to get her to understand what I wanted. She didn't even offer to redo them. I'm sure it's fine for manicure/pedicure but I won't be back. They were very nice but not what I need. read more

First Nail is not fancy but they are friendly, competent and most importantly, sanitary. I have been to a few other nail spots since moving back to the burg a this is the winner so far. The technicians don't spend their time talking to each other disruptively, the music is soft and the place is tastefully decorated. It's not very big, just 6 pedi chairs so call first for an appointment, they will easily fit you in but if you don't call and its Sat you'll have to wait. My pedi here has lasted at least a week and once a couple weeks. They have a good selection of OPI and CND polishes. read more

Gone twice and confirmed that I don't like this place. Sadly I ended up getting the same person, Kim - tall and thin - each visit and she wasn't good either time. Lackluster massage and poor paint job. The first time my Opi paint from my stash chipped pretty quickly which was odd. Realized during the second pedi she added heavy coats of paint without letting one coat dry first. This is what I get for working and not paying close attention. Needless to say I won't be back. read more

After trying and patronizing MANY salons in Williamsburg I find that First Nail is the best. Wonderful color selection as well as lotion selection for hand/foot massage. The sanitation is so important here and all of the staff are friendly, accommodating and most of all GENTLE. The atmosphere is relaxing and calm and their orchids( not plastic either ) are just beautiful. Will be a frequent customer. read more

Had a great gel/shellac manicure and great pedicure here. They were a bit busy (which is actually a good sign in my opinion) so could not fit me in when I "walked in" on a Monday morning. They made an appointment for me later the same day. The salon is basic, (no wine or drinks served during the pedi), but the massage chairs work, it was clean and a pleasant environment. My technician Mei was terrific. She did a great job and I will definitely be back! read more

I have been to this salon 4 or 5 times now, and am very pleased with it. It's very clean and quiet--no loud music playing or loud gabbing. A very restful environment. I have had manicures and pedicures by several different women, and they've all been excellent. This salon costs a little bit more than the one I was going to before, but it's totally worth it. They seem to prefer that you make an appointment, which is not always as convenient as walking in, but on the other hand, it does ensure that I am taken care of as soon as I get there. Another plus: nearly all of the women who've done my nails speak very good English, which is a huge help when I'm trying to ask for something very specific. I've had bad experiences with language problems at other salons, and First Nails is a pleasant change. read more

This place has the BEST PEDICURES EVER. I live in Miami and New York and I can't find any place in either city that can match the relaxation and quality of the pedicures here. The customer service is just amazing as well. I always look forward to visiting my family in Williamsburg and getting pedicures here with my sisters. I also had an emergency where I had to get a full set of acrylic nails and they found a way to squeeze me in even though they were fully booked. They have an amazing selection of colors in both gel and regular polish. Definitely try this place for the best nails in Williamsburg! read more

This is the third nail salon I have been to since moving here from Georgia. The first two were just okay. First Nail was a lot better. I'm still getting used to the higher prices but the service was great and pedicure was outstanding. Linh did a great job and she is very sweet and thorough. I will be back to this salon. read more

I love this nail salon! It is my favorite one in Williamsburg. The prices are the same as all of the other salons, but the nail people do a much better job. Maybe I've just had bad luck at most of the salons in town, but my nails always chip really quick/the nail technicians are incredibly painful. This salon is very professional, has a great choice of colors, and great technicians. I also like how you get to pick out your own hand lotion along with your nail color... sometimes I hate the scent of the lotion they put on during a manicure, so it's really neat getting to pick out any scent you want! Crooked nails, they charged you an extra $5 for removing old gel nail polish! Really?!?!? Not a lot of options of colors. Distracted technician... I don't recommend this place. They take for ever to do your nails, almost 1 and half hour. read more
