They are now in the strip mall to the left of fresh market, in a sparkling clean, cozy space with all new equipment. Jenny Was my technician and she is an absolute perfectionist! I got an American French dip manicure and a callus pedicure, and she was terrific! I got exactly what I asked for. I was particularly impressed with how clean and quiet it was. All the girls who work there seem to speak English well enough to be able to communicate without a hitch. The service was cheerful and considerate of the clients comfort. I highly recommend and will be back. My bill was $106, but there is a slight discount if you pay in cash. I tipped in cash as requested, but you could also use Venmo. read more

The people there are awful and try to take advantage of mentally disabled people; making them pay way more than what a "normal" person would have to pay. This is by far without a doubt the worst salon I've ever visited. I went in asking for a simple mani. My first impression was it was dark, oddly silent, dreary. No light. No windows. No music. It was like a chamber. But there was a chair and a tech available so I gave it a try. I asked for her to file my nails to an oval shape. I asked for matte black polish with a small design consisting of a few dots. I showed my tech the photo of the design and she remarked it was super easy, no trouble. 30 minutes later my nails were short and square. So square they looked unnatural, like Chicklets were glued to my fingertips. They were painted a glossy black and there was no accent color nor were there any dot designs. The tech declared my done and informed me the bill was $41. What?! First off the sign said fills and paint are $25. That's a long way from $41. Plus, she didn't do what I asked and I was extremely unhappy within my nails. In fact it is the worst mani I have ever had. I asked why $41, what were they charging me for when they didn't even do what I wanted. They spoke to each other in some Asian language I don't know and told me filing was a fee, cutting was a fee, moisturizing my hands was a fee. I refused to pay for services I never asked for. In fact I told them I'd pay half the bill since they did half a job. They then offered, without one single apology, to fox my nails. To add the colors. To maybe shape some to oval even though they filed them so short it was hopeless. But guess what?!!?? It would be a few more fees for polish removal and another fee for changing polish and then an additional fee for design. So all in all, this dark, humid cellar of a nail salon does a awful job, mocks and laughs at its patrons and then demands more money to fix their mistakes. Williamsburg, are you listening? If they tried to scale me, a vibrant and healthy 40iah woman, what are they doing to the bus loads of elderly? How many old ladies have been ripped off by PinkNail88? They should be investigated. They're truly scammers. Really. Someone should let the authorities know to keep an eye on them. They are CLEARLY in the game of scamming clients. And this town is a feeding frenzy for that. I've been a regular here for years. They're very clean. The staff is lovely and they stay on top of their appointments so you're not waiting. Your fingers and toes will look great when you leave. I deducted a star for the poor massages. That's a big part of getting a manicure or pedicure; I can paint my own nails for free at home, but I like this little bit of pampering in my month. But every staff member I've had here gives rushed, unsatisfying massages. If they'd up their game in this regard, they'd be perfect. read more

I am upset about how they manage their appointment schedule. I come to the store on time, but the lady tells me that I have to wait for another 30 minutes. They want to have as much as customers they can, and takes drop in customers, but they lose track of time. The lady with glass is manager or boss, she assigns whoever available. I have appointment but I have to wait until someone finish they current customer. Appointment is unnecessary, it is first come first served. It is my fourth time here and 20% tips every time. Came all the way to Williamsburg from Newport News to try this salon and I'm so glad I did! I'm making this my go to salon. I got a spa mani-pedi (they do bundles which is nice). I was hesitant about getting a design so I had two pictures to show, one that was detailed and the other was just very simple. I was surprised when she said she could do the harder looking one. Let's start with the fact that I got a gel manicure on Saturday evening and it was chipped by Monday. Now let me take you through my experience from start to finish. The decor is beautiful and quite peaceful. They accommodated me and 2 other friends simultaneously. However, we all felt as though the pedicure was RUSHED, mind you, we were the only customers in the salon during the time of our services from start to finished. First off I want to say I love this place and will go back but STAY AWAY FROM ALICE. She pushed up the cuticles on my hands way too far and even cut me on my left hand. She then proceeded to dig into the sides of my nails leaving deep wells. To follow she buffed my nails and CUTICLE which set them on fire. My toes also looked terrible after she was done and yes my cuticles suffered on those as well. This isn't my first time here, but it's probably my last. When Pink Nails opened I was excited, clean, friendly, great selection of polish, good pedicures. The last few times the service has declined. This time I made an appointment for pedicures for my teen daughter and I. We arrived on time, were seated in the pedi chairs and the nail techs went to work immediately. They didn't show us a menu or ask which pedi we wanted. The service was done in less than 10 minutes, no massage at all, no cuticle trim, nothing. The only good thing was the application of polish. I could have filed and changed polish at home. read more

I recently came to Williamsburg for school and have tried out a couple nail spas. 88 is by far the best. They are kind and welcoming, and very attentive to detail. Their spa is beautiful and clean, and my nails have quite honestly never looked so pristine and beautiful. They helped me pick a color, made sure it was what I wanted, and helped me decide between dip, gel, and acrylic. I broke my nail the next day and came back in, expecting to pay $10 to fix it, and they did it at no cost. Not only was it free, but they took the damage dip off painlessly with remover instead of prying it off like other places would. You will definitely get your moneys worth. Come here!!!!!! read more

To their credit, they did redo my nails free of charge after I showed them pictures. Still...I would not recommend this place. I got dip when I went. It wore fine and lasted as expected. My issues with this place is the amount they charged. I got dip, and they charged an additional 5 dollars for every color I wanted. Without! I repeat without them cleaning up my cuticles and prepping my nail bed. I walked out of there with a bill of $60! Which is nuts! My coworker also went there for the same thing and was charged 50 dollars for the dip! Crazy prices! For what you get, aka nothing noteworthy, it is not worth that price. I have been a customer of Pink Nails 88 for a few years now. I haven't been there in approx 4 months, and when I went today for a pedicure, I found it changed. It changed in that it was not as clean as it used to be, they repainted it awful colors, and the service I received was sub par. The technician forgot numerous things with my service, requiring me to remind her. When I got home, I found some nails had not been filed, and the paint job was very sloppy. I always felt this business was a step above all other salons in the area, but today I was disappointed that it had lowered it standards to being level with the others. read more
