    Basic

I recently visited this salon for a basic pedicure, which was listed at $35. However, I ended up paying $96 in total. The additional charges were not communicated upfront, and I was surprised by the cost. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. For reference they up charged an additional $20 for the gel pedi color and charged 41 for a basic mani with gel. I've never heard of a basic mani for 41.

Loved my pedicure...its felt so refreshing and the atmosphere was very relaxing with great music playing in the background. The only reason why it didn't get a 5-stars is bc I asked them about their nail kits for newbies (in case I want to get a full-set)I was basically told that they're not accepting new people bc they don't have space to hold the nail kits... I'd have to bring my own! not a good first impression!

This place was so great! Covid measures were taken into account - my nail tech was speedy and gave me the best fill in i've ever had - shaping was perfect, my nails turned out thin and dainty, 0 bubbles in my gel polish. always reluctant to try nail shops when visiting from out of town but this place was fabulous. i wish i could take it home with me :) cute interior as well with comfortable sitting lounge

My mom, sister, and I all love coming to Pink Nail 88 and have been getting our nails done here for the last few years. Yoki is amazing for dip powder manicures, pedicures, and nail art. I always book my appointments with her and am always so happy with how my nails turn out. The photo is my nails after almost three weeks and they still looked great!

First time going to get a dip manicure and it was fantastic! Yuki took such great detail and time on my nails and lot of other nail salons don't take the time to cut the cuticles, clean the nails when doing a dip or acrylics but she did! My nails took amazing! Scheduled a follow up right away.

I always love coming to pink 88! Everyone here is professional and friendly, and it's always very clean. And I always love the way my nails look walking out! Yoki is a true artist. She did my nails for July 4th and they came out awesome! This is now my usual place for gel nails and pedicures because I always love their work and it is very reasonably priced. Awesome spot!

This is what they called oval, matte black with rainbow dot detail. In order to fix it, they attempted to slap me with more fees.

This is by far without a doubt the worst salon I've ever visited. I went in asking for a simple mani. My first impression was it was dark, oddly silent, dreary. No light. No windows. No music. It was like a chamber. But there was a chair and a tech available so I gave it a try. I asked for her to file my nails to an oval shape. I asked for matte black polish with a small design consisting of a few dots. I showed my tech the photo of the design and she remarked it was super easy, no trouble. 30 minutes later my nails were short and square. So square they looked unnatural, like Chicklets were glued to my fingertips. They were painted a glossy black and there was no accent color nor were there any dot designs. The tech declared my done and informed me the bill was $41. What?! First off the sign said fills and paint are $25. That's a long way from $41. Plus, she didn't do what I asked and I was extremely unhappy within my nails. In fact it is the worst mani I have ever had. I asked why $41, what were they charging me for when they didn't even do what I wanted. They spoke to each other in some Asian language I don't know and told me filing was a fee, cutting was a fee, moisturizing my hands was a fee. I refused to pay for services I never asked for. In fact I told them I'd pay half the bill since they did half a job. They then offered, without one single apology, to fox my nails. To add the colors. To maybe shape some to oval even though they filed them so short it was hopeless. But guess what?!!?? It would be a few more fees for polish removal and another fee for changing polish and then an additional fee for design. So all in all, this dark, humid cellar of a nail salon does a awful job, mocks and laughs at its patrons and then demands more money to fix their mistakes. Williamsburg, are you listening? If they tried to scale me, a vibrant and healthy 40iah woman, what are they doing to the bus loads of elderly? How many old ladies have been ripped off by PinkNail88? They should be investigated. They're truly scammers. Really. Someone should let the authorities know to keep an eye on them. They are CLEARLY in the game of scamming clients. And this town is a feeding frenzy for that. PinkNail88 is a shame and a blight on this town.

Three weeks later. Still looks awesome.

20 minute pedicures, nail polish chipped the next day. The dip with tips took forever and looked horrible. Be weary of going here

We both had the Laurel type of treatments which is as free of chemicals as possible. One hour each preceded by fact questioning which was pertinent to the treatments. The Laurel line smells so wonderful, a combo of herbs that makes you feel so relaxed but not sleepy. Afterwards I was given a card to use since I live locally for future treatments so I could get a chance to receive a surprise after a certain number of treatments. I also received samples of the Laurel skin cleanser and the sunscreen. I did have the chance to use both and am so impressed by both. Just a smidgen of each applied has improved my complexion. Definitely going to set up regular follow up treatments. Also right after my facial, my complexion felt so calm and not inflamed though I had been following all the correct ways to keep a clearer complexion such as drinking plenty of water, not touching my face, sleeping with my hair pulled away from my face, using cleanser free of perfume, etc. The spa is so very clean and I was quite impressed.

We called ahead to make sure they had openings for pedicures, and they said yes. When we arrived, there was a bit of a wait for my husband's pedicure, but the steady flow of customers made it clear this place is popular for a reason. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, especially the owner, who made us feel right at home. The prices were very reasonable, and the service was excellent once we were seated. We both chose the Bamboo Massage Pedicure, which includes a foot soak, nail shaping, exfoliating scrub, callus treatment, a paraffin mask, hot towel wrap, moisturizing lotion, and polish. The bamboo massage itself was relaxing and unique. The only downside was that my husband's pedicure ended at the same time as mine, even though he started later, so he may have been shorted a bit on his massage time. It wasn't enough to ruin the experience, but it's worth mentioning for accuracy. Overall, Bamboo Nail Spa delivered great service, fair pricing, and a friendly environment. We'd definitely return on our next Williamsburg trip.

A few other spots in the area couldn't take us, but Bamboo Nails was able to seat both of us as walk-ins with no problem, which I really appreciated. Everyone there was super friendly, and they were efficient without making us feel rushed. We both got the signature pedicure, and they did exactly what needed to be done. My feet were left soft and blemish-free, and the massage chairs were extremely relaxing. For some reason, no one asked whether we wanted clear polish, and I didn't think about it until we were already gone, but that's on me as much as anything. The biggest win was my little brother absolutely loving his first pedicure experience. He said he'd definitely be back, so mission accomplished. Overall, a great stop and a solid 4-star experience.
