The teller claimed that without a checking or savings account, they had no way to ensure the cash count would be accurate. This explanation is entirely illogical for a major financial institution. Despite offering to provide multiple forms of identification and explaining the necessity of the exchange, I was denied assistance. As a current credit card holder who regularly receives solicitations from Wells Fargo for mortgages and checking accounts, I am deeply disappointed by this lack of basic customer courtesy. And the only score they're willing to work with is Experian. We could not open a joint account because my wife had no Experian score. They wouldn't accept Transunion or Equifax. So we wasted a good hour trying to apply before walking away. Their lack of trust is pretty sick. We took our money elsewhere.
