Joe has in 2 sessions helped me to understand how to best support her in changing and learning new behaviors. I have started to see massive changes in my dog! Before training with Joe she was lunging at family members, barking excessively, and lacking in confidence around new people and men. After our second session she is moving toward being off leash around new family members. She is doing a lot less barking. Responding to me when I correct her behavior. Not lunging at people. And she is growing in confidence daily as I work with her using Joe's techniques. Joe is always on time, and gives lots of information during each session. He's not pushy or salesy- trying to sell you more than you need. Joe gets to know you, your dog, your household, and your goals for your dog. He creates a plan specific to you and your goals for your dog and then gets you there in the fastest way possible. He's an excellent trainer!! Joe is very comfortable with dogs and their owners. He's confident and helps you to build confidence in yourself and your dog. I would recommend Joe to anyone looking to train their dog and I will certainly be using him again.

I paid for six sessions @ $1200 with the verbal assurance if all sessions were not used, remaining sessions would be refunded. Had some concerns about her skills after the first session and by the second session had stronger concerns about her capabilities and her lack of professionalism. Asked her to leave within ten minutes of the third session after she completely melted down and was personally attacking. Took getting an attorney involved to get refunded the remaining unused sessions after multiple requests. She was consistently late, appeared stressed when she arrived and made personal and political comments that were inappropriate. She was also extremely aggressive with our dog, yanking him without explanation. She made his behavior much worse. Disappointing and unnerving to have someone so clearly off balance come into your home to train your dog and you're wondering how to get them to leave without a meltdown. Would absolutely not recommend.

In addition, I wanted to get a Bahamian potcake. Every trainer said I was making a mistake. And,that at my age, I would not be able to control him. That potcakes were too exicitable, distractable and from wild stock; but I knew that they were also loving, with strong attachment to their owner. I chose a 10 week old potcake, Skipper, who was all of the above, with everyone telling me ,"he will never be a service dog." A client of Sofia's put me in contact with them and they immediately stepped in. Everyone knows that trainers don't really train the dog but they train the owner/handler. The important thing about Sofia's and Adolpho is his ability to go beyond the obvious and see where both dog and owner are at emotionally, physically, and psychologically and personalizes that training to match their abiity, atachment levels and needs. I now have the perfect service dog, the one they said couldn't be trained, the one who saved my life already, not once but twice. There is no one better than Sofia's dog training.

We have had 5 previous dogs most had been Golden Retrievers. We have also worked with several trainers over the years. I looked around at different trainers in West Palm Beach and I really liked the approach used by Adolfo and Sandra. Of all the trainers I have worked with, they really work to understand the dog and the owner. In just a couple of sessions Felix was demonstrating confidence and felt more secure. He likes Adolfo and Sandra. That is important! The dog should like and respect the trainer and feel comfortable in their presence. They introduced us to the Martingale collar which is clearly superior to either the choke or prong collars, we had used in the past. I not only highly recommend Sophia's Dog training, but strongly encourage all dog owners, to call Adolfo and Sandra. Your dog will thank you!

If i could give more then 5 stars I would…read more.. Babette is one of a kind. You will NOT find another trainer that is in the same league... After picking out our Goldendoodle, we had to find a trainer. Babette wowed me from the first phone call I made to her. I visited other classes and spoke to other trainers. I went to classes to scope out the techniques that these trainers used, but there was one main difference between Babette and the rest... She had a guarantee. If your pup didn't pass the test at the end of class you can come back and take it again. When I asked others if they did this, their response was, "It is your responsibility to keep up the training." Basically NO! Babette is confident, friendly, and our puppy gets so excited when he sees her. She really has a way with dogs and people. She came over the day after we got our new puppy to help us instill good behavior from day one. This has really been and enjoyable process. If we are in the vets office, in our elevator, at the park, or just walking down the street, people can't believe our 15 week old puppy is so well behaved! Our response, we owe it all to Babette Haggerty. We sent our puppy to Babette for boot camp. Babette would not settle for meritocracy. She wanted our puppy to be as good as he could be even it if took an extra day or two over her time! She is a family oriented person and can't say enough about how wonderful our experience has been with her. When we decide to get another addition to our family, Babette will be the first phone call we make.

She showed up and did leash walking on day 1 and 2 -- I asked for a list of what we were ot cover and was not provided one. When I asked about the 2 items I hired her for, she told me to 'diaper them; and 'get a bark collar'. Then on visit 3 she cancelled one hour prior with NO MAKE up. I asked for a refund and she only gave me a partial refund, she charged $2000 for 3 hours of her time and did not provide what I asked or hired her for. Overpriced for what I got... 3 hours of how to walk a dog on a leash. I could have googled what she taught me.
