Social distancing is in practice here! Was having some brunch with the ladies. Our service was good. Could have been a bit better. Our server was training another person. The one thing with the service is they brought over the coffee pot where you can refill your own cup however didn't bring enough cream or sugar. They only provided 2 creams for two cups of coffee and just 2 sugars. When we asked for more on the cream and sugar, we were forgotten and had to ask again with the coffee getting cold in the cup. Moving on. Let's talk about the food. My breakfast was the Lemon Ricotta pancakes, ohhhh! They were delicious. I could of used a bit more on the syrup however overall the taste was great. My other companions had no qualms over their choices of entrees. One had the traditional breakfast with a Belgian waffle on the side. The other had a veggie omelette with a side of bacon. We've been to First Watch before but never this location. On a Sunday we know the wait would be long so we opted for first available seating which included outside. We were sat right away because we were willing to sit on the patio. They have great big umbrellas that cut down on the direct sunlight. My husband had the Crab Omelette from the summer special menu. He enjoyed every bit! It was full of crab meat and came with greens and oat grain toast. I choose the Bacado omelette off their regular menu. Large chunks of avocado and bacon rolled into an omelette that was topped with a dollop of sour cream. Great spot for breakfast/brunch. Located in a large mall, there's plenty of parking, especially if you stop by before any of the other shops open. Some items are a bit pricier than others, but the food was solid and I really enjoyed my meal. They have a good selection of items, including healthy options that aren't as heavy. Portion size isn't as big as some other places, but I still had some leftover. There wasn't a wait when I stopped by, but according to other reviews, they are usually quite busy, so plan ahead and grab a spot in line with a seating app before dropping in. The we ordered food such as two million dollar bacon avocado toast and eggs benedict with smoked salmon. The million-dollar bacon comes with three Bacon's we asked for it to be extra crispy which they did absolutely fine. the downside is that I do not believe it is worth $5 for those three slices of bacon. Within a few minutes we were called and seated. Our waitress showed up and took our drink order and disappeared. She wasn't very friendly and it looked like her tables were all over the place. We ordered our food, no suggestions from waitress even we asked; the kids didn't care much for their food because it was way too much rugula. The food was ok, lots of rugula to fill up the plates. Came here for breakfast with the family on a Tuesday. Wait time was about 30 minutes. The waitress started out good but then disappeared. Everyone got their food except me. When she reappeared, everyone was done eating & I still had not received my food. I told her to cancel my meal. She didn't apologize just seemed shocked that my food had not come out. We came here for brunch at 11am. It took quite a few minutes to get sat. There were empty tables. The host/server was busy cashing out tickets. The cafe has it set up that you walk your bill to the front register and pay. When we arrived, we had to wait for 3 people to cash out before we were sat. We were sat in a sofa like bench that sunk in when seated that the table became too high. We asked to be switched and the host said "everyone complains about that spot." She quickly moved us. We were greeted by our server 5 minutes later. She was friendly and cheerful. We ordered the avocado toast with eggs, million dollar bacon and the 1/2 roast beef and pecan salad. As we were waiting for our food, we saw a couple get seated where we previously were. We predicted they would ask to be moved. Sure enough they moved to another location. Food came out quick. About 12 minutes. Avocado toast was amazing. First Watch did not slump out on the avocado spread. It was piled high on they bread and tasted so fresh. It came with 2 eggs cooked perfectly. The million dollar bacon was my favorite. It was thick, crisp and had a maple glaze to it!! On the other hand the salad was ok. I felt the warm honey Dijon dressing and sweet pecans was poured on to heavy on the salad. It probably added 400 cal alone. I asked them for a bowl of lettuce and scooped the amount of dressing that was to my liking. Next time ask for dressing on the side. The roast beef sandwich was great. We only had waters. So, I hadn't been to a first watch in forever. We wanted to try something new this morning. My husband never drinks coffee, but this morning he wanted a cup. He said it was pitiful, but he suffered through. We had to ask for water. The lemons we asked for I cannot tell you about because we are still waiting on them. She kept my drink refilled which was nice. They were out of blue cheese crumbles. I get it no worries, but when I asked for the dressing to be subbed, and then have to ask for it again when it comes out? Our waitress was just kinda almost annoyed to be waiting on us. My husbands omelette he said was rather lackluster when I pushed what was wrong he just said where do you want me to start? I ordered two salads both had chicken in them, but mine had hardly any on them. Then waiting to pay...bring a book. Seriously on a busy Sunday they should have a better system. We ordered a dish each and the awesome ABL waffle which had strawberries and their homemade granola - superb- to share (no picture for that as we hurriedly attacked it and realized we forgot to take a photo after we devoured every bit) we also ordered the Bacado omelette, the Chile Chorizo omelette and the Farmhouse Skillet Hash. All dishes were so satisfying! The service was great! Staff very friendly and so accommodating. I actually did plan to go back to try out their other dishes already! Okay before u get there, download the "No wait" app. I litterally had 32 ppl in front of me when I first got in line, Luckily I was 30mins away, but it worked pretty good. When I finally made it there it was 4 people left so it worked out GREAT! and my wait was short. 1st thing that caught my eye was the avocado toast when opening the menu, so that was a must. These eggs are amazing, super fresh! This was served with multigrain toast which tasted like they just pulled it out of the oven. I love "pan con mantequilla", anyway it is, and can appreciate a good butter. The butter here is whipped, whipped! I was in love! Wheat Germ blueberry pancakes- This isn't on the menu but I had it at the Tampa location. The blueberries are also an add on and what a great idea that was. Fluffy, crispy, flavorful l, I mean everything you can ask for in a pancake. Daily Glow- This is a new menu item and for you fruit lovers you definitely want to order one of these for the table and one to go. This juice included freshly pressed carrot, orange, ginger and one other thing I couldn't remember. It was Soooooo good and quite refreshing. Now that it's changed so much for the better! I love the remodel of this place! Rustic, but a more modern feel at the same time. Not the same old bright yellow walls and tacky framed photos that it used to have. The menu at this one has been updated as well, and isn't the old laminated one with the photos that it always had before. There's also so many great new items on the menu! I love the quinoa bowls, and the Market Veg Omelet. Coffee and service here is top notch as well! Oh, and that line out the door? Still there, but the NoWait app works great for First Watch! I've been to a couple of the First Watch restaurants around Orlando and all of them maintain the same quality and standards. The food always taste great, I very much enjoy the fresh juices, and always look forward to going for breakfast/ brunch. We decided to try the French toast for the first time today and even with no toppings the bread itself could be enjoyed because it's that good. We really loved the table side hot maple syrup and the berry jam that came with it. I highly recommend the Morning Meditation juice along side your breakfast because it was incredible. The power wrap I got wasn't bad and good if you want a healthier option but i probably would stick with something else if your diet permits. The fresh pica de Gallo it comes with is great and gave it some needed flavor in my opinion. Finally the biscuits and sausage gravy we good, perhaps next time I'll just ask for the biscuits to see what they are like on their own. Overall it's a great "chain" here in Orlando, I've heard some people say it's a little pricey but everything felt fair for the quality, service, and overall satisfaction I always leave with. Awesome breakfast place! So glad to find First Watch nearby while visiting Orlando, the menu options are so comtemporary and delicious. This location is located on West Sand Lake in Dr. Phillips area and had lots of indoor seating, and then smaller outdoor seating along the windows on the side. With a welcome we were seated and then checked out the menu. Coffee served hot, and carafe left for your next cup to be filled. We both went with omelet options, and then share the awesome Lemon Ricotta pancakes. Just look at the picture, you cannot finish it, even with 2 people. The pancakes were large, crispy off the griddle, but that subtle lemon taste is the kicker. Just right! Then add the lemon curd and fresh strawberries, it is a flavor bomb. The omelets are both beautiful (just look at the pic) and delicious, not sure how they make it look so good. I enjoyed the Bacado omelet filled with bacon, Monterey jack cheese and avocado, while Alan had a ham & gruyere. The side of thick multigrain toasted bread is just as good as everything else, and wish I could find it on the grocery shelf. With more food than even we could eat, we left First Watch satisfied and full. First Watch has a great menu, serves modern and delicious breakfast, and makes you want to come back. read more
