Fun local breakfast spot over in Dr. Phillips restaurant row area. Went on a weekend sand despite the place being packed, we were sat very quickly. Don't turn away just because you see a crowd at the door, they move fast! Breakfast options were plentiful and not just your typical breakfast fare. My Chikichanga was delicious and was large enough to share. My husbands Farmhouse Hash was also enjoyed and we loved how everything tasted and looked super fresh (I mean look at that avocado!). One star off for the sheer volume in this place. It was loud and chaotic and the booth we sat in had crayon scribbles on the table and wall. Disappointed, this was our go-to place to dine in for breakfast when in town, now I don't think we'll bother. This is our second bad dining experience at a First Watch this year. Our server was very slow, I don't think it's because she was weeded but just a bad server unfortunately. I waited over 15 minutes for water, I didn't even have a drink in front of me - first priority is too make sure all the guests on the table have a drink in front of them. Her initial greet wasn't for over 5 minutes. When our food came out, the order was incomplete - the kitchen were still cooking the bacon - but how does a breakfast place run out of bacon!!! My eating companion had finished their breakfast before the bacon even came out! They had to send their poached eggs back as well as they were over cooked and they took over 10 minutes to come out. When ordering a traditional breakfast, the bacon and eggs are the main components and they couldn't get them right! While we were eating our breakfasts she was eating toast and potatoes!!! I always get the Chickichanga, it was ok, the flour tortilla was a little over cooked and not a flavoursome as I remember. The other member of our group had biscuits and gravy which was alright but where was the chunks of sausage in the gravy!! He also got bacon on the side which I don't get why they didn't put on the traditional breakfast and make him wait for just his side! But the bacon was way over cooked and just burnt crisps. We had to complain to our server as we weren't happy, the amount of time to recook our bacon and eggs, it should take 5 mins or so! The manager did come out to talk to us but took around 5-10 mins, she should be on the floor checking in with guests. She did apologise and provide us with some gift cards we used to pay for the poor breakfast but unfortunately that's it for me and First Watch, I won't be spending my money their anymore. My husband was not thrilled with the one back.home, but I convinced him to try this as we were limited on time and it was only a couple of miles from the hotel. Service is impeccable. Everyone was super professional and friendly and did a wonderful job providing a great experience. For my meal, I got their kale juice which was really amazing and also I created like a vegan skillet off of veggie items I saw on their menu and their potatoes. It was really good and the presentation was lovely. They do have gluten free toast available and some other gluten free items as subs. I don't really eat a lot of carbs so this was not my thing but it's on there for folks that need or want it. Masks are required to enter. And they do have tables spaced out still. read more

We chose to sit outside and the weather was amazing, the patio had hanging lights and was so cute for brunch with friends. We got sat almost immediately even on a Sunday with the church rush. We had our morning breakfast from First Watch two days out of 4 days in Orlando and I loved the harvest bowl at this place. There is always a wait here no matter you come on a weekday or weekend. We arrived at 8:30 on a Friday and it was packed and we had to wait for 40 mins to be seated. You can also reserve a table online or order for pickup which I felt was pretty convenient. We ordered the morning harvest bowl which had chia seed pudding with coconut milk and almond butter toast on the sides, Italian omelette and chocolate chip pancakes. I also ordered freshly squeezed juice and one coffee. They have a huge pot of coffee for the table and it's unlimited refills which is quite good. I loved the harvest bowl but didn't like the almond butter toast as it seemed too dry and it didn't seem a good combo with chia pudding. The omlette was ok not the greatest but definitely diff and a lil sour due to Italian herbs. The most disappointing thing for me was the pancakes as I could smell the egg yolk in it even when the plate was far away from me. I have an aversion towards egg yolks and the smell which messed up my dine in experience here. The juice ordered came half filled with ice which seemed weird when you call something an immunity booster. They should have asked me if I wanted ice on my juice or not. Cute place to get some healthy (or healthier) breakfast meals. Although arriving, the place to pay and the place to request a table was the same, it does create a little congestion right at the door, but once we were seated, it was a great experience. The menu mostly looks like good, filling options, but I went with the power up wrap on the "healthier side" menu, which was a good egg white/turkey/veggie wrap with fresh fruit. I actually felt really food but in a good way (instead of feeling heavy, lethargic after some breakfast meals). Coffee was also good, served in a small pot for the table but we were able to get a refill on this. The place definitely seems to cater to the hipster/granola crowd, but for a change of pace from a sugary pancake breakfast, it was reasonably priced for good food for calories. read more

It just seemed business as usual. Health code violation for sure. Just felt something else could have been done not just for us but for future guest coming in. We decided to try First Watch, based on a recommendation from someone at our hotel. I always say that an experience, whether at a hotel, restaurant or anyplace else depends on different factors, such as what one orders, the hotel room assigned, and often, even the location, as some places have multiple sites. We ate the City Lake Pointe location. I will say that prices were pretty fair for a touristy location, not far from Sea World, and they had a great, diverse menu. First, I'll tell you about the good stuff. My husband was with me and we each ordered a beverage. He had the Tropical Sunrise, which had a blend of mango, pineapple, strawberry and lime. He loved it and couldn't stop talking about it. I had the Spiked Lavender Lemonade, described on the menu as New Amsterdam 5X Distilled Vodka, lemon, cane sugar, butterfly pea flower tea and a hint of lavender. I also loved my drink and kept remarking about it. I'd order that drink, time and time again and I'm sure my husband would get his again as well. For our main dishes, my husband had The Works omelet, which included ham, bacon, sausage, house-roasted cremini mushrooms, onions and tomatoes with cheddar and Monterey jack, topped with sour cream. First of all, he likes mushrooms but the ones in his omelet were whole, rather than appetizingly chopped, so he was disgusted. He also hates sour cream and said he should have asked them to withhold that. I had the Chile Chorizo omelet and felt let down since I couldn't really taste the chorizo, which is usually very flavorful, and there were too many chilies, and too spicy for me. The omelets come with whole grain artisan toast with all-natural house preserves (I loved this!) and lightly dressed organic mixed greens. We opted out of the greens in favor of the potatoes with onions, which were nicely seasoned but a bit too hard for our tastes. My husband also wanted to try the Million Dollar Bacon - Four slices of their signature hardwood smoked bacon baked with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne and a maple syrup drizzle. It was FAR too sweet for both of us and also lacked the crispness we were expecting. I detest floppy bacon. Overall, First Watch was a mixed bag for us, often too much of this or too little of that. I'm thinking we both should have selected different entrees. We went in with plans to get the crab avocado toast or one of the delicious-sounding Benedicts (me); or the more traditional plates, like the Trifecta of waffles, eggs and bacon (husband). We'd likely return for the drinks or with friends but would definitely order different entrees. read more

We arrived to find a 30 minute wait for breakfast on a Wednesday morning around 10am- the staff were nice about it when I checked back in on a table. We had one member in the party on a tight timeframe so we were able to order her meal on the quicker side as soon as we were seated. The servers were pleasant but way over worked. We did have a main server who was very pleasant, but so many others would come and go to drop off food or drinks and then never be seen again. So if we asked them for something small (like a to-go container or straw or napkins) they'd say ok and then just disappear into the ether, never to be seen again. They need to hire more staff! As for food. Really, really fresh and tasty. The fresh juice drinks were real juice and not cheap powder. My smoked salmon was the tops and reasonably priced. My handsome date had an avocado egg sandwich that he really liked. My daughter had the chia seed bowl and loved every bite. Great place for a fresh breakfast. read more

Our server was very nice and made a subsitution for me with no issues at all. The service was a bit slow so I don't recommend coming here if you're in a rush. Loved this place for a nice sit down breakfast. Came here for breakfast and was amazed at their breakfast choices. Good was very good and pretty big portions. I got the morning meditation juice and a iced coffee which I needed to get a takeaway cup for. The juice was delicious. I ordered the ricotta pancake and a side of eggs. I couldn't finish even half the pancake because they were pretty large. Hubby got an omelette with cheese and vegetables which looked delicious as well. The sandwiches and power bowls looked good too but I found this place near the end of our Orlando trip so wasn't able to try them. So I am going to give my most open opinion to the whole ordeal, not just the food, but the experience. First, there was a 40 min wait for a table, I normally don't wait 40 minutes for a table but the wife wanted to try this well recommended place. After we where showed to our table, the waitress seemed preoccupied with something else, she sat at the end of the table and literally had to repeat each order 2 or 3 times. Food arrived (took about 15-20 minutes) everything looked great! I am going to say, food for the most part, very good, can't really say excellent because for me, the price seemed expensive for breakfast. But I will say, I tried a little of everything and all of them where very good. Waitress never came back for drinks refill only to bring the bill, never telling me that I had to go pay at the counter, so I probably sat down waiting for her to take my cc for about 5 minutes..... In any case, the idea is a healthy diner breakfast place, that is why the high prices. Probably if they better the service and wait time they could have gotten a 4 or 5 stars. This restaurant shows how well things can be done when the focus is one one type of food instead of trying to have a huge expansive menu full of different ideas. I would recommend any of the egg scrambles, as each one has something specific that I enjoy. Pictured is the Farmhouse, which is my personal favorite since it includes avocado. All the stars are for the staff in the kitchen. Wow! Even though the place was packed the entire morning, the food coming out of the kitchen was not only beautifully presented but absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. I was even tempted to eat more when I kept on seeing the plates being served around me. The omelets, the bowls, the pancakes, the waffles, the french toasts, the frittatas.... everything looked so good. My veggie omelet ($10) with organic mixed greens and whole grain artisan toast was just delicious. It was filled with good vegetables and nicely presented on my plate. The artisan toast was phenomenal. The coffee (unlimited for $2.79) was smooth and hot. I also enjoyed the fresh juice made daily, kale tonic ($4) made with kale, Fuji apples, cucumber and lemon. Just a great start of my day! My only issue was with the front of the house. This is a very busy restaurant and they did not have enough staff to take care of the volume of people properly. The kitchen has it together but the front needs help. I sat by the communal table and for the entire meal the table was dirty. It had numerous plates with leftover food, dozens of empty glasses and cups, dirty silverware, and around 6 carafes of coffee just empty. It was not pleasant to eat on a dirty table. I sat here for at least 40 minutes and the table was not clean up until I went to pay for my bill. I looked around and they were many dirty tables throughout the restaurant. It not only looks terrible but it is not pleasant to eat in a dirty place. Hopefully, they hire more bussers since the restaurant is always busy and the waiters are not able to manage it properly. Regardless of this hiccup, the staff is very friendly. I truly enjoyed my food so a big round of applause for the kitchen staff and the chefs who prepared the menu and selected the products. First time here and the experience was pretty good. We were greeted immediately by a very friendly host and put on the waitlist. After a 15 minute wait we were seated. Our server brought me coffee and after a bit of a wait took our food order. We ordered the Tri-Fecta with the Carrot Cake & Pecan Pancakes, the Million Dollar bacon, and the Purple Haze!!! Everything was delicious! The Million Dollar bacon was a perfect combination of sweet and salty! Also, they put real shredded carrots in the pancakes! Yummy!! The purple haze was AMAZING!!! Definitely gotta try it! They lost a point because the server was a bit slow in taking our orders and clearing our table and we never got our grits! When you're seated at a two person tabletop they need to clear your table as soon as they see empty dishes! I was having to combine stuff and stack plates to make room on the table.
