My only qualm - while they didn't rush us to leave - our "good" service didn't quite continue. On this beautiful Easter Sunday, we chose to have breakfast at First Watch, hoping for a warm and enjoyable experience. For the most part, everything was going well until we witnessed something that truly took away from the moment. A family was seated next to us just as we were finishing our meal. Not long after maybe 5 to 10 minutes the manager, Michael, returned and asked them to get up because the table had been promised to someone else. It was confusing and honestly hard to understand how that situation could happen. The mother remained calm and respectfully tried to explain and ask if they could stay, but it seemed her concerns weren't really being heard. Despite her efforts, she agreed to leave. What made it especially difficult to watch was the reaction of her young son clearly hungry and upset, crying as they were asked to go back and wait after already being seated. It was heartbreaking. No family, especially on a holiday like Easter, should have to go through that. Being seated and then asked to leave like that felt unfair and avoidable. Moments like these matter. Unfortunately this one left a lasting impression for the wrong reasons. It was disappointing to witness and it's hard to recommend a place after seeing a situation handled that way. read more

Its hard for me to find breakfast places i would say i like, as i eat healthy, but this was one of those restaurants where i would happily return for a brunch. I came back to the location that never disappoints, Dr. Phillips (Sand Lake) The service is always great, nice area, welcoming staff. The restrooms are a bit rough. Took about 25min for our food but everything was hot and good. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to--at one point I even laughed with an employee who kept accidentally dropping utensils while clearing tables. It added a bit of lightheartedness to the visit. This place definitely leans toward health-conscious eaters, with menu items that feel fresh and wholesome. I ordered the Tri-Fecta and decided to mix things up with both blueberry pancakes and banana and oats (or granola) pancakes. The blueberry pancakes were easily the highlight--soft, flavorful, and full of fresh berries. The banana and oats pancakes, though, weren't quite my thing. The oats had a firmer texture than I'd prefer, and I think a softer bite would've paired better with the banana. The only small letdown was that the patio, which looked like it would've been a nice option, was closed for construction. Still, the indoor seating was pleasant and comfortable. Overall, it's a spot I'd recommend for a relaxed breakfast, especially if you're into fresh, healthy-leaning options. Was here on business a couple of weeks ago and had my wife with me. We decided to get off property for a good breakfast Sunday morning. The restaurant is a little small and we waited about 15 minutes before being seated. The menu was really intriguing and being a meat and potatoes guy I went with the million dollar bacon along with million dollar potatoes. Ended up having a pancake and the cheesy cornbread and washing it down with a Coke Zero. This is literally one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Not only was the food hot and amazing, but our waitress was awesome. She checked on us 3 separate times and had a new drink on the table as my current Coke Zero was at the 25% mark and she did that 5 additional times. My wife had an omelet and fresh squeezed OJ and she enjoyed it, but even commented that my breakfast was really good especially the bacon and potatoes, so good! This restaurant has been a family favorite for years. It is a bit crowded at times but the line goes through quickly every time. You get added to their virtual queque and can wait near the benches they have outside. They send an initial waitlist text and then when you are next in line. Yesterday I went in solo and per usual had a very friendly waitress. Instead of sweet I was in the mood for some savory and ordered the Elevated Egg Sandwich that comes with their freshly made breakfast potatoes. I loved the sandwich it came with a runny egg, rich gruyère cheese, thick crispy slices of bacon, mashed avocado, and a unique component was the arugula with lemon dressing, that added a complimenting zesty flavor, all in between a freshly toasted brioche bun. My only critiquing comment would be the potatoes had more than usual burnt bits that I pushed to the side. Other than that this is now one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches in Orlando.
