It is a staple in our house and work to order for dinner and lunch and have never been disappointed! Food is fresh and made to order. Service is speedy . Tables are small except for 1. Usually busy at lunchtime and dinner but worth the wait.

Given the circumstances we thought we'd eat locally and have take out. We haven't had Chinese food for quite awhile and wanted to support a local business vs eating outside of Quincy. The disappointing thing is every time we try the FW it gets a bit worse. Chicken items were dull and bland with the sesame chicken being just tasteless w small hard pieces of chicken. Vegetables were cold and without flavor. Fried rice special was bland as well Noodle dish just ok but also flat and tasted like it had been reheated Egg rolls were the freshest tasting but the filing was minimal and overall a small portion Maybe it's the oil or lack of spices or freshness or all of the above. Sign on the door said need to wear a mask to enter and couldn't order at counter due to COVID. Went back to my car to order and people walked in without masks and ordered at the counter. Also got my food before me even though I completed my phone order before they went in. If you aren't going to enforce the sign, take it down. Food was great! The house fried rice has shrimp,pork, and chicken in it. Love the crab rangoon. My daughter loves the steamed dumplings . We also had beef with broccoli and it was super delish. Recommend for delivery Chinese. The in store dining is like negative ambiance stars. I don't even recommend take out. The place is just scary in person. You have to appreciate a restaurant for what it is. This is the best take-out/delivery place in Quincy. The food is always freshly made. I've been a customer since the week they opened. For a pleasant Friday evening I order a large garlic chicken, ribs, and an order of steamed pot stickers which feeds us both and we have leftovers for Saturday lunch. We have never been disappointed. At a buffet, you always get some food that has been on the steam table and turned to mush. At the national Chinese chain restaurant you get mush sometimes and it is always sugared to the point of being candy-like. The people at First Wok are always pleasant to me. When I order to eat in, they bring my food to the table and bring me utensils and condiments. It isn't fancy, but the food is fresh and good. Sometimes there is a little variation due to the cook. WORST place ever. I ordered delivery while I was at work. Not only did they take longer than what they originally told me; they called me 12 mins AFTER their allotted 45 minutes delivery time saying they couldn't find my address. When I gave it to the delivery guy again he said another 10 minuets before he could get there. I told him to not bother anymore bc my lunch break would be over by then and I wouldn't even be able to eat it. Then the delivery guy proceeds to say, "Oh fuck you, you cunt. You just fucking wasted money out of my damn pocket you stupid bitch!" I called the manager to make a complaint and he tried to ask for my address. I said, "No I don't want the food I'm making a compliant." The manager replied, "If you don't want food, then there's no problem." And hung up on me. That was the first, and LAST time I will ever order from this company. Truly sickening. The only reason I'm giving this place a star at all is because I had to in order to write this review. I ordered crab rangoon, it has always been good (but not as good as Best Buffet) but this time it tasted like vinegar. I had my neighbor try it just to make sure it was not just me, she said the same thing. I decided to call and ask if they changed the recipe....OMG the wrong thing to do. This man on the phone was yelling at me, he said in 23 years he had not one complaint. He ask what was wrong with it but would not let me explain. He then told me to bring it back in and get my money back and never order from them again....WHAT? I told him I was NOT calling for free food or refund, just ask if recipe was different. He started yelling again and said that was my problem and again said to never order from them again. I stayed calm and ask him why he was yelling at me, he then hung up on me. This man needs anger management bad and needs to be told how to deal with customers. Oh and I ask for owner or manager phone number....I could not understand one number...he yelled it to me. I called the number and just as I thought, not a legit number. I'll take my business to Best Buffet any day, they are very polite....and have good food...just don't deliver. read more
