Very impressed by Fish 307. I recently found some parts there for downriggers that were at least twenty years old. Some of the items were no longer available from the manufacturer. I ordered on phone and my parts were in my mail box three days later. I have also ordered fishing tackle from 307. Quick delivery, everything in stock. There are a handful of bait shops around Lake George. 306 is a Great local fish tackle shop behind the outlets. Stop by there all the time. Luke and staff are the best! I've seen them setup weekend warriors for a quick fishing trip as well as custom order items for the die hard anglers. I go in there for crawfish and bait and come out with much more... I stop in here because I was fishing in Lake George and needed bait! I definitely recommend all levels of fisherman and fisher women to come to this establishment! When we enter the store we were greeted with a very friendly and knowledgeable store clerk. He told us about the different species of fish in Lake George and what he uses to catch some like largemouth bass. They take credit card and also can register for fishing licenses. $25 for ny state residents outside residents is $50. They have a huge selection of bait, tackle and rods, reels and even live bait for very cheap. read more

I like this place a lot. I took my son here during a trip to Lake George because we wanted to do a little fishing in the lake. We were able to buy a really nice light action rod and casting reel combo ($16.99 Zebco) and the young man behind the counter was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He not only helped us get all the tackle we would need AND rigged our pole he didn't try to sell us a bunch of crap we didn't need just to make a buck. We were even able to purchase a one day fishing license 3 days in advance of the day we needed it. I walked out of there paying less than $40 for rod, reel, tackle, bait and license. Be careful when ordering online. If you order the wrong size item because of their brief descriptions it is unlikely you will be able to return it. When contacting them over the which is a requirement. I was treated rudely and was given unclear instructions. You will pay for the shipping yourself, have to find the address yourself and be charged 15% to put it back on the shelf. Very poor customer service. I would suggest buying your merchandise from a reputable website. read more

Very unprofessional doing mail-order business. They made a mistake in inputting my mom's card information, specifically the expiration date, according to the bank. Then they refused to consider that they may have made a mistake. They became very rude. I tried to order the part online with my pay-pal, but they canceled the order once they saw where it was going to. When I called they lied to me and said they sold out of the part and would not get any more of that part for the rest of the year (This was in Spring). When I learned where they were physically located, we realized we had family in that area who decided to check out their store location. The part was in stock. This was the only place in the US at the time that we could get the part from so we got it anyway, but would not recommend doing business with them if you don't have to. read more

I was on vacation with my family and needed to get a temporary New York fishing licence. So driving by, I saw this place and decided to get my license. I went in and the owner/manager was there. I said good morning and got nothing back. Ok, whatever. I asked for a temp license and he grudgingly got it for me. He then then threw my license and change on the counter and then while I'm still at the counter starts talking through me to guy behind me, his friend. I left aggravated, but forgot about it. A couple days later, I went back because I needed tackle. I should've learned from when I was in for my license. The same guy asked what I was looking for and I asked for suggestions for which lures to use and then said to his coworker to "take care of this guy, my heads spinning". He obviously does not like dealing with tourists even though it's probably 75% of his business. The clerk was helpful enough, but the owner/manager did not want to deal with me. We travel to Lake George quite a bit, and have since found a bait store that is much more friendly and does not mind customers. read more

I haven't been by their store since I'm out here in Oregon, but Fish307 has more than impressed me. I can find hard to get parts when I smash my trolling motor into a dock, lures I can't find out here, and I've always gotting my order in less than a week.
