Horrible service and experience, wanted to just have a couple of drinks. We were rudely told there are no spots available when clearly there were at least 5 spots at the bar and none of them were reserved. Holy cow this was a great experience, from the service to the gorgeous food, this was a big 5-stars! The restaurant is among the strip of shops and restaurants at Friday Harbour resort, which, itself lends a beautiful backdrop to this restaurant. They unfortunately did not have patio seating left when I made the reservation but we were happy to sit inside to get away from the heat for a while. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and modern looking. It had a fairly casual atmosphere, clientele included families, couples and groups. The menu is fairly small but everything looked delicious. Prices are on the higher side but once we saw/tasted our food, the pricing was justified. We ordered the mussels to start and added some extra bread, the seafood linguini and the paella. Our friends ordered the Cornish hen as well. The mussels were fresh and the broth was light yet bursting with flavour. Even the bread was exceptional, thick slices of sourdough charred on the grill, sprinkled with some flaky salt. The dish was a highlight and a must-order for mussel fans. My seafood linguini was also insanely delicious, speckled with pieces of shrimp, crab meat and other delicious treats, it was creamy, yet light, and the portion size was perfect. I consider myself to have a large appetite and I was stuffed. I also sampled the paella and it was incredible. Very generously covered in seafood, the rice and chorizo were flavourful and worked so well together, this dish is a stunner and also massive, it could definitely be shared. I didn't try the Cornish hen but my friends said it was delicious. The service was awesome, our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable without being overly intrusive. Our drinks were filled regularly and overall we had zero issues with the service. The food came out at a good pace, we didn't feel rushed at all. Overall amazing amazing experience. We'd heard a lot of good things about the Fishbone chain of restaurants and I was not disappointed, this was a well-deserved 5/5 in my books! This is the second location of Fishbone that I've been to and they have both proven to be very charming, with a warm atmosphere and good food. This place fits right in with the Friday Harbour development. The decor is simple and elegant, with very tasteful lighting fixtures. There's a bar in the middle of the space, dividing the dining room. I assume they also have outdoor seating in warmer weather. I had come in for an early quick lunch. Browsing through their Portuguese inspired menu, it was hard to choose. Everything looked so darn good! I settled on the Uncommon Burger (Lamb & Beef, Bacon, Brie, Tomato, Red Onion, Lettuce Chiffonade, Piri Aioli, Brioche Bun, Fries). This burger was big, juicy, and very delicious! It had everything that I liked and they all worked well together. I had to squash it to get it in my mouth. Juices started running down my arm. That's a good thing! The fries were also excellent but I couldn't finish the generous serving. This was one of the better burgers I've had in a while! FishBone Kitchen locates in Friday Harbour resort. Not very far from Innisfill. The patio area has nice view of the marina; it was very airy and nicely setup with umbrellas for shade. I made reservations via Open Table and very easy. Service was friendly. We got seated immediately we checked in at the front. The menu is pretty similar to other locations. My table of 4 shared the appetizer and main course. We enjoyed every dish; seafood was very fresh and seasoned nicely. The portion was generous, and they didn't over priced especially in this kind of tourist area. Will definitely go back if I am in the area. read more

Love the waterside vibe of this location! We tried out a selection of dishes to share. The Portuguese Paella was a delicious dish, with a base of saffron rice and a wide variety of seafood including mussels, prawns, and octopus. We loved the Pan Roasted Brome Lake Duck, which was absolutely delicious and made very well. We also tried their Little Gem Salad which was fresh with a salty white anchovy topping. Finally, their Seafood Linguine was creamy and flavourful, however a little too salty for my liking. The cocktail we tried was delightful, I forgot the name of it but it was light and refreshing. I believe to contains Empress Gin! Overall, service and the food was good. They do take a 3% resort fee as it is located in Friday Harbour. Recommend making a reservation to be safe! read more

We had an outstanding dining experience at FishBone for Valentine's Day. We were welcomed with a complimentary glass of champagne, which is so rare these days given inflation. We ordered the G&T cocktail and were so impressed by the beautiful presentation including a fresh sprig of Rosemary. We enjoyed the feature scallops, which were perfectly cooked and the plate presentation was fantastic. I had the halibut and my husband had the braised short rib for our main meal and again, cooked to perfection. We finished off our meal with a lemon tart dessert. The most impressive was the knowledge and attention to detail of our server. He never left our water glass less than half full and was very friendly. We spent a lot of money on our meal, and it was worth every penny. Highly recommend! read more

Their food ( bread and fish) mostly had a burnt taste to them. Still made them spicy although we specifically asked for no spice. Too much salt in most dishes. Mussel was good. Atmosphere and location was nice. Pretty expensive for the small portion. read more

We had a delicious meal here at Friday Harbor Fishbone Kitchen. Each thing was delectable! We started with the fire roasted bread with the flavored special butter of the day. Two from our group has the whole grilled fish. We had the paella, and my daughter had the truffle steak - all were yum! The tomatoes salad and Gem salads were spectacular! Sea food is the best and as I say, food and plates are warm so your food doesn't cool off quickly as in other restaurants.

Had a horrible experience dining here today. Food was alright but we definitely received a lot of discrimination unlike I've ever experienced before. Came here for lunch today with my husband and son(15 months) there was one server and one guy at the bar, seems like the manager. We were the first table there for lunch and 3 more came in during our time there. During our meal I felt the guy at the bar glaring over at us, I get that no one likes a screaming baby but my son only raised his voice a few times and when he did we would immediately try to calm him down. After we had paid and was preparing to leave, the server brought us some paper towels and said "for your mess" ummm ok... at this point I actually had already cleaned everything that was spilled on the table and essentially no food garbage was left, on the floor there was a few dropped napkins and a fork. I went to the washroom and when I got back I see the guy/manager standing right next to my table where my husband and son was getting dressed and he was looking at our table shaking his head then walked off as I approached. Is this standard restaurant practice to judge guests right in front of their face?? And as I was walking out the door he said to me "thanks for cleaning up" I'm left wondering are you mocking me? Is this really necessary? Is it because I'm Chinese? Because I have a baby? This sarcasm was really unnecessary, I get parents are responsible for their baby and I try to do my part to a certain extent but do you need treat your customers line this? Is not like I didn't tip, we gave a standard 15%. Definitely left this place feeling uneasy. read more

Best food!!!! Wonderful service! They were so great at accommodating our gluten and dairy free diets. Wow!!!!!
