Nothing from him! The warranty company called me at 11am, while I was driving to work, to tell me the appt slot had been given to someone else because R&C could t reach me. No call, no text, no VM...just a lie and a no call, no show. Can't speak to R&C quality on work, but I certainly can't deal with liars. So be warned and take your chances. I would give it 0-stars, but it only allows me to go 1-star!

I have had the displeasure of being forced to work with this company through my home warranty, and…read moreevery time, there is unprofessionalism, evasive maneuvers, and out right deceitful behavior from the company owner, Ron. Aside from being rude on the phone and not answering calls/voicemails, Ron has claimed to fix an exhaust fan in my master bathroom that still is malfunctioning, then he lied to my home warranty about it saying that it works even though I showed his technician it still is not operating properly. The technician even acknowledged the dysfunction himself. Ron also told my home warranty company that I, a layman, attempted to change out a light switch which led to my dining room light fixture not working properly. Not only is this completely fabricated, but because of this lie, my home warrantly company denied the claim, saying that my actions resulted in the dining light issue. For a recent minisplit system ticket, R&C Elctric was assigned again. Ron told me he sent over the report to my home warranty company and said they approved the job. Ron said his technician would be over the following week to install a junction box. Imagine my surprise when I call my home warranty to find out Ron NEVER even submitted a report, thus, no work order was ever approved. All this week, Ron has not answered any of my calls, voicemauls, or text messages, which I have left every day. Its not just that Ron refuses to take responsibility for his company's incompentent work, it's that he lies too, and that deceitfulness is just impossible to deal with. I could excuse him having no people skills, being rude over the phone, and even making mistakes, but the apparent deceitful behavior rises to a level of unethical conduct. I recently asked Ron for his license number to confirm that he actually is a real, licensed electrician, however, I doubt I'll get a response. Do not use this company.

It was the day after Thanksgiving when he arrived and he did an excellent job connecting the wire whip and installing an outside safety switch which was necessary for the mini split installation. He also evacuated the refrigerant from the line set. He worked while it was snowing and the temperature was dropping, so I appreciated that because my house would have been very cold. Luckily the mini split worked right away. His price was very reasonable also. Great job Chad!

BUYER BEWARE -- Heat went out in the middle of the night, and I could not get my regular HVAC guy…read more Called M&T Mechanical in the morning (8am) and they agreed to come and look at the problem which I believed to be a clogged fuel line. They arrived as indicated and looked at the oil furnace and ended saying that I had a "blown" motor. They'd be back after getting one from Ace Hardware. Got everything working again, which was good. When I got the bill ($700), I was more than surprised at the expense. Later, I checked the Ace Hardware website (and at the store ) which said the motor (Beckett 21805) was listed at $124.99 (Home Depot has it for @$87). I was willing to pay more for the emergency call but to get almost a 300% markup on the motor ($125 marked up to $350) and an oil filter (marked up to $100) is GOUGING. Normal industry rate is 50% markup. So, the long and short of it is: BUYER BEWARE when it comes to M&T Mechanical. You will DEFINITELY pay more than fair market and more likely be scammed by a company that's more interested in a big payoff that will cost consumers. Again, BUYER BEWARE when it comes to M&T Mechanical--it will work but will leave a hole in your pocket and bad taste in your mouth. If desperate for service, call elsewhere.
