Not great. This is the Dallas BBQ of Mexican seafood. Big drinks (kinda watered down). Complementary fish soup was appreciated. It was alright. The cocktel de camarones was good, standard. The spicy atún tostada was not good, the tuna was good but cold as hell, and the actual tostada had a weird sweet sauce to it. It also just wasn't spicy. The lobster taco had too much mayo, very overbearing. The rice was also super soft. Located in popular area of many shops, food choices and just people site seeing, I am glad I stopped off here. The restaurant was super clean and for someone like me with a weak stomach, I felt comfortable eating the food. They bring out fresh seafood broth to start and while I didn't know what it was at first, I was glad I tried it. Nobody in the restaurant speaks English which is fine but it definitely made me more adventurous when considering food. Luckily with google translate, I was able to try everything I was craving. The shrimp ceviche was nice and full of fresh cucumbers, onions & shrimp. The crunch of the tostada was a nice addition. The red snapper was huge and cooked to perfection! read more

The razor clams were to die for. The margarita was nice as well. I was there mid day for lunch and the service was great. The only drawback was that the bus person attempted to remove the lunch menu shortly after I was seated. The prices for lunch are quite a bit more reasonable than the regular dinner menu. read more

Definitely a must go to! I went for a solo lunch and the restaurant is very spacious and offers indoor and outdoor seating (when it started to rain they were able to close off the ceiling). When you are seated they offer a complimentary "glass" of seafood broth that I think is to clear your tastebud pallet...very flavorful! As an appetizer I ordered the fried shrimp quesadilla (shrimp is crumbled) and it was the star of the meal! It is served in a small cup with/ refried beans and sour cream for dipping; sooo very good! The ceviche was packed with with full size shrimp and lightly seasoned; just needs a lil something with a kick and would be perfect. The infamous Contramar, which sits across the street from this location, is surprisingly not all that much better in terms of quality despite Fisher's being a chain with multiple locations throughout Mexico City. My buddy and I split the seafood empanadas, which put the ground beef empanadas to shame. They were delicious. I opted for the tuna with chimichurri, which was nice and thick yet cooked perfectly medium-rare. My buddy was happy with his seafood and rice. The service here is consistently good. Indoor seating and outdoor seating. Very reasonable prices. Street parking. read more

Fisher's had a nice vibe, great music, strong drinks, and energetic servers. However, as far as the food goes (which is the highlight of every restaurant experience for me), I was just not impressed and kind of felt a little bamboozled when we got our check for the meal. Firstly, I love to start things positively, and I have to give a shout-out to our server, Kevin! He was totally energetic, friendly, and hilarious. He was the highlight of our meal, and made sure that we were taken care of throughout dinner. We ordered: - Sangria & a margarita (these were very strong! Worth it) - Side of guacamole w/ chips - Shrimp ceviche - Camarones al mojo de ajo (I'd ordered garlic shrimp... but actually received camarones a la diabla???) - Shrimp quesadilla The food took forever to come out. This included the guacamole, which we had to ask for chips to accompany with? It was a bit odd. Then it was strange how the food came out separately. You can imagine my surprise when I realized I paid 3$ for a quesadilla that looked like it was meant for a 2 year old... it was tiny, didn't have much shrimp, and honestly was kind of flavorless. I wouldn't have cared so much, but being in Mexico, I've had delicious and huge quesadillas for less than a dollar! The ceviche was tasty, but nothing out of this world. When I received my plate, I noticed I received camarones a la diabla instead. I'd waited so long by this point that I decided not to say anything, and while the food was good, it also wasn't that flavorful. All in all, I'm positive I wouldn't be back and I wouldn't really recommend Fisher's to fellow Yelpers -- you're much better off with street vendors and there are very GREAT seafood restaurants in CDMX other than Fisher's. read more

I her is great for fresh seafood. Never disappointed for thigh. Not on the menu, but available Fishers potatoes. French frys topped it a chipotle mayo. Very good. This visit our group decided to get desert. One of my Mexican favorites is Flan. Not at this Fishers. Whoever made it should never, never make Flan again. It was like scrambled eggs. Not smooth and creamy as Flan should be. And the plating was horrid. Perhaps to mask the subpar Flan, a wedge was even in a bowl and covered with way too much cajeta. I went to a different Fisher's before with a local friend and LOVED it. It's a small chain that I think is 100% seafood. The portions are huge and you get a good deal for the price. Our servers were attentive and would go there weekly if I lived in Mexico City, but whenever I do find myself back in el DF, I'll make it a point to go there. read more

I had a couple different tacos here but they were not amazing, the Sta. Monica tacos were the best from all, the Camarón rellenos empalizados where too rich for my taste, they were ok, the Pekín-Lu was sweet, took one bite and could not eat more. The ultra trendy Fishers is a good place for seafood. It's pretty expensive though and there are enormous lines sometimes. I recommend the salmon carpaccio. read more

I visited Fisher's and set on the patio and the ambiance was really nice. That bumps it up to a three star. Beyond that I was unimpressed by the food. I had the order of tostitos with crab, guacamole, and two drinks. It may be what I ordered because the place is popping. Probably the chevices are good. read more

Do not come here looking for fresh seafood. Fishers is a cavernous space with loud modern music, so if you're in for a big party, lots of drinks, and average food, it's a great place. It is not however a place for good food...oysters are frozen, and without flavour. Ceviche Peruvian, is tiny, and also lacking flavour. Arroz con mariscos is a bowl of rice with a couple pieces of seafood and dried out fish...I'm guessing all the seafood is frozen. One bottle of red or white wine on offer....all in all; very disappointed. Cross the street for good seafood. read more
