Tomato Vine - How they looked 1 hour after I bought them

I thought that was a great deal! They sometimes will have duck eggs too. It's absolutely my go to spot for produce, local honey and unique finds.

Within a day, both soursops molded--one I refrigerated, and the other I left out because it looked ripe. I called ahead before returning them and calmly explained the situation. The man who answered the phone (owner or manager, I assume) immediately got rude, called me ignorant for not knowing how to store soursop, and hung up on me while I was still trying to speak. When I arrived at the store with the spoiled fruit (one cut open and one whole), the experience only got worse. He berated an elderly employee right in front of me, saying he would dock his pay for giving me no guidance about ripeness. It was heartbreaking to witness that kind of treatment. I wasn't asking for a full refund--just a respectful exchange--but instead, I was humiliated and talked down to. He refunded me $21 for the whole fruit and nothing for the cut one, then told me to "stay away from his soursop" because I "don't know how to handle it." Everyone starts somewhere when trying new fruits, and a real professional would educate their customers, not insult them. There are plenty of other places to buy high-quality soursop with better service--like the Charlotte farmers market vendors who are there every Saturday on 3930 Brookshire Blvd. who treat you like a human being. I won't be returning here and I highly advise others to take their business elsewhere.

Nobody smiling and lifeless. I drive by this place about 4 time a day and I absolutely refused to do business here from this experience. After many years, I gave this place another try. To my surprise it was a night and day difference from the first time I walked through the doors. A young lady at the entrance greeting you with a some samples and a big smile. Walked passed the bakery section and heard a very loud "how are you doing today". I almost passed out from someone actually speaking to me. I was in shock. This isn't the same place I visited when it first opened. I look around and see employees smiling and wanting to be there. In the distance I heard laughing coming from the deli and meat department. When I walked up, I was immediately greeted with a smile and asked if I needed any help. They were still in tears laughing by the way which was a nice feeling. So in a nut shell, this is what I think about Sprouts now. Great selection of products. The people are very nice. The Manager's Specials they have are amazing. I saw they had Rotisserie chicken for $.99 and some ham at the deli for $.50/lb. I'm a customer for life now and when I'm done shopping I go next door to Kairo's for a bite to eat.

This place is fantastic! It is a supermarket oriented to the Mexican/Hispanic community which…read moremeans it has a great selection of items one would find in the supermarket for Mexican or Latin American recipes. My first visit here was to find corn husks and masa flour for homemade tamales. Upon entering the store, it was as if I had transported to Mexico, the music, the goods, everything was just as if I had stepped south of the border. I had bought tamales at Costco and one of my sons friends came over, his family is first generation Mexican. He felt sorry for me after I served him a Costco tamale so his mother made me a bag full of homemade tamales. Wow, no comparison. I did find what I needed and at an affordable price, but they also have a full butcher shop, produce section, frozen and dry goods sections. The butcher shop has pre-marinated, chopped meat for taco's al pastor among other fresh items. I bought some of that too, just toss it in the frying pan to cook it up and serve with corn tortillas and fixings and your friends think you are an awesome Mexican chef. However, they also opened a taqueria, the pictures on the menu are attached. Ordering can present a language barrier, but you can work it out. The portions are generous, the food is authentic beyond comparison anywhere else I have found in Greenville. There are only a few tables. You order in the back of the restaurant, eat, and then you just pay at the front counter of the grocery store as you leave. I had the Tacos Al Pastor and this was a serving of 4 tacos fresh made from the griddle, as in cooked to order. Excellent! This is a really fun and fascinating place to just visit and browse for ideas on something to cook at home. I like to bring the family because it is free to shop and it feels like you have stepped into a time/space portal and gone from Greenville to Tijuana or something like that.

Hidden back there is one of the most authentic Mexican spots I've found in the Greenville area. Nobody spoke English, but honestly, that just made me trust the food more. Google Translate clocked in for its shift and we navigated ordering from the menu just fine. Order Plate #2 (The Costilla de Puerco en salsa verde) was ridiculously good; super flavorful with just the right amount of heat. The asada tacos were also solid, and 4 for $13 in this economy feels like finding buried treasure. Don't sleep on the Horchata; finally a place that sells horchata that's not watered down! 10/10 would absolutely get lost in the grocery store again.
