I had no idea until looking it up online just now that it is actually a chain - a chain that they seriously need to expand down to Delco. If I'd been prepared, I would have done some of my Christmas shopping as well... So many things to choose from for the kitchen and home, gifts, Christmas stuff, hardware type stuff, the list goes on. The best way I can describe Unkel Joe's is the kind of "general store" that is nearly non-existent these days. Unkel Joe's doesn't carry food (I think) but has all kinds of other interesting stuff: kitchen items, general housewares, fishing equipment, holiday decorations, model railroad supplies, and all kinds of other stuff. Prices are reasonable and everything I've bought there has been of good quality. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. After filling out the paperwork and sending a check deposit, as requested, I worked with a representative to book an all-inclusive trip to Puerto Vallarta for $2,435.84, which I paid in full. Three days before leaving for our honeymoon, I had a bad feeling about the whole thing. This led me to calling the resort to confirm our reservation -- which thank goodness I did -- because we discovered that the whole trip was a scam and the travel agent had stolen our money. The representative not only stated this was a case of fraud, but admitted it had been happening for months to other clients from the company. This left us without our dream honeymoon and out $1,500 in nonrefundable airfare, on top of the money paid for the trip. I notified Tracina Fisher, the owner of Formalities, in hopes of preventing this from happening to other brides. While she initially expressed sympathy and asked how she and Peter Hayes (the Marketing Concepts Representative) could help, their tone quickly changed. When I asked if their companies could help recoup the $1,500 we lost--considering this situation never would have occurred without their promotion--they became extremely rude and blamed me instead of taking accountability for putting their customer through this situation. It's devastating to lose our dream honeymoon to fraud and even worse to feel abandoned by the businesses we trusted. While we are dealing with this issue with both federal and state authorities, I strongly urge anyone considering this store or promotion to proceed with caution. This experience has caused immense financial and emotional distress, and I hope it prevents others from suffering the same.

As far as quality goes, it really depends on what you get and how much you spend. Go with your top notch gear like Under Armour and Nike, you are guaranteed quality. From hoodies, to tshirts, to shorts, they carry the whole line. Some of the embroidered hoodies are actually sweet. So sweet that I picked up two. If your pockets aren't quite as deep, then you can go with the misc brands that they carry. The t-shirts are screen printed and run under $10, and you can easily find a hoody around $20. Just don't expect too much from the quality, but then again, you get what you pay for. On top of apparel, they also carry some misc goods.
